Are you feeding him anything other than eaglepack? How about offering him a chicken wing or neck or similar? I agree with stop feeding the treats for now it could be that they are too rich and are giving him the diahrea and because they are much more interesting than the eaglepack he would rather them than eat his normal dinner. Make sure that he is well hydrated and give him ice blocks. Dogs can dehydrate very quickly when they have the runs. Maybe boil up some rice and chicken for him and see how he goes on that. Hope he is feeling better soon

What Type Of Yoghurt?
Cheyenne_Fury replied to spoilt lab lives here's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use Liddells lactose free plain yoghurt, it's actually quite nice (I'll even eat it ) and the dogs go crazy for it -

Jake loves Lure Coursing so we will be there. What's the earliest age that they can have a go? -
Oh ISH I'm so sorry to hear of your loss please let me know if there is anything that I can do. Anne

It could be coming back but also it could be that he has had an allergic reaction to sometime maybe a plant or something in your garden. It could also be a stress thing. I'd take him back to the back to the vet. In the meantime there is a product called pad paint which is fantastic it probably won't stop him chewing but it will help with the sores and iritation in his paws.

Wombat try aloe vera too if some of the other stuff doesn't work. Is it a dominance kind of thing the kick back after he pees? If she Muzz does that too (my beagle). It could be irritating his feet a little bit. Bebanthen would probably work to heal his pads also maybe vitamin e cream and if all else fails good old aloe vera.

wombat are his pads split at all? My Dali Jake gets split and cracked pads in winter due to getting wet feet from the wet grass. I make sure I dry his feet really well but he still gets it. I find tea tree oil is really good and also a spray called pad paint aid. It's fantastic.

Awww Ishy I'm sorry to hear that the pups are sick. Fingers crossed that they will all be ok :p I wonder if any of the other pups from the grey litter are sick?

Thanks for the update Phoenix. Let her know that we are thinking of her if you talk to her.

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear about your girl. Here's hoping that it is not as bad as the vet fears and that the surgery will be a quick proceedure and clear up the problems.

Just wondering what the outcome was lovey. Fingers and everything crossed for you!

Great photos ISH  They are naughty buggers though aren't they I'm sure that they will do better next time -
I've got the same problem with my beagle and now the greyhound pup thinks its great too. I use the spray bottle (water) and it soon stops  But get a few photos first ;)

Kristie, didnt' mean to imply that you did leave your pup crated 10 hours per day just that I wasn't sure whether it was a good idea to do just that, leave a pup or any dog crated for such a long time.
-
Is crating a pup for that length of time a good idea though?

Stella I'm so sorry to hear of your loss He was such a wonderful boy and had the best of homes and was truely loved. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do. Keeping you, Des, Tiff and Scott in my thoughts Anne

I agree with the triangle of temptation and NILIF methods already suggested. It really worked for my beagle Murray who would do exactly what he wanted when he wanted and also thought that he was in charge of everything. I disagree when you say that obedience school won't help. It will help because not only will it give you the tools to work with Champa so that he is a much nicer dog to live with but it will also build up your relationship with him and also give him some one on one time with you which is very important. Good luck with him he sounds like a great dog just in need of some guidance and manners

I had the same problem when I brought my little girl home. Definately off to the vet with her. It will give you peace of mind and also find any medical problems that could be present. How long have you had her? How old is she?

Hey Lisa, I have an agility short lead for Jake my dally, it's the blackdog one and you should be able to get them from any good pet supplies. mine cost around $10 from memory
