  1. Hi guys, Just letting you all know that we have confirmation that Steven Lindsay, author of the the 3 most acclaimed manuals of dog training & behaviour (Handbook of Applied Dog Training and Behavior volumes 1-3), will be hosting a seminar in Australia next year around March. Because it's only early days yet no date or venue has been selected, however if you do want to be on a mail listing to attend this very special occasion, I would suggest emailing the NDTF on [email protected] or call them 1300 44 66 44 This would be the sort of seminar that professionals and canine groups would benefit from rather than general dog owners. In addition to this, I believe the seminar will most likely be held in Sydney with a special, invite only presentation in Melbourne. Very exciting stuff! Glenn
  2. lol... should be changed to.."i need some attention"
  3. ROFL OH GOD ANYTHING BUT THAT!!!!!! you like my bottom I know! :D
  4. There is an old saying that i'm fond of that shares reference to this topic. Grey Hair Alone Does Not Make An Elder! In addition, i have always debated the difference between great and good and years may never equate to greatness. You can have all the written qualifications in the world and still not put it to practical use. Actions (Results) speak louder than words.
  5. Hi guys, We are looking into buying agility equipment. Can you guys recommend anyone in melbourne? HR
  6. LOL..i've been called worse. To be honest LL I dont know the answer to the question, however I can ask Boyd during the week and post his reply. I keep telling Boyd he should do a group seminar so maybe I will coax him sometime this year.

  8. I think Uta is very talented and I would have liked to have spent time with her if she was doing an advanced training group. However, i always take some thing away from any seminar i attend Of course i was happy to see my Rottdaughter that kinda goes without saying. It was good to see little Edmond as well with his shiney shiney coat. I havent been to a dog seminar in years so it was fun to have a weekend out. The Rotty club have one in 2 weeks with Karl Heinz Pahl so I will give you a comparison. HR
  9. Very lucky to have 2 great weather days for this time of year
  10. When we did both of our weeks in Sydney this was lacking greatly I felt, I was very disappointed as it is such a major component of the course. Our sessions were scrambled and half the time the presenters didnt know which topics we had covered and which ones we hadnt. When did you do your course Rastus? I would be interested in hearing more HR
  11. Good to hear and thanks for the compliment I'm pleased that you're enjoying it and getting out of what you want. The course is the result of many dedicated and inspiring people combining their knowledge and experience to offer a unbias skill set to interested persons. It's the start of a long and facinating journey
  12. Hi Midol, Glad you're enjoying the course! You should be a reporter with your journalism skills. I enjoyed working with your group and i loved the open mindedness, as they say, a mind is like a parachute. It works best when it is open. Keep learning GC
  13. Hi all, Thanks for your persistance in this thread. I'm still waiting to hear back from the persons charged and as soon as I have my hands on that list I will bring everyone up to speed. HR
  14. JulesP .... - what part of what's been said has upset you? Good question Erny? If it was the quip about the stability of people then I feel that you have looked beyond the joke and taken something entirely different onboard which is somewhat over sensitive.
  15. Are you talking about Dogzonline or Schutzhund? Erny I'm waiting for John McDoanld to get back to me so I can further answer on what the charges are. Delkerabo, thanks for putting up the info from Michael Burns. Craig, Good to see you in the conversation. Good coverage of points. Can I just ask that people stick to the topic at hand rather than champion their cause. I know this upsets people and I'm pleased to see the responses and the efforts of people trying to help. In the end we will need everyone because I really dont believe many people are looking beyond whats happening here. Dog people need to stick together!
  16. Yet they do. Consistently. And it is this that I am concerned with. I'm sure this has been tried. There are none so blind as those who will not see. That's right Erny they do constantly remove the "RIGHT". It is nothing to do with punishing the DEED just blanket ban. Watch the movie V for Vendetta. Fiction now but who knows in the not so distant future. As they say Erny, in the world of the blind the one eyed man is king
  17. I'll give you an example of a demonstration we gave to a local laws division of the local council about 10 years ago. I was wearing the sleeve and a member sent his dog in to conduct and hold and bark, (meaning the dog comes in and sits in front of the decoy/ helper/ badguy and waits for them to posture agression before the dog reacts). As the dog came in, i ran, threw the sleeve on the ground and kept moving. The dog went for the sleeve and ignored me. 3 of the 4 councilers said, "That's brilliant" 1 said, "look at how savage the dog is attacking that sleeve" They see what they want to see
  18. Well this is a great start guys as it has minds ticking over.
