  1. Some nice shots there. I wish that Bailey would come up onto the box rather than catching it from underneth. Flea most have gone 4.1sec as that is the time on the board and Bailey was after Flea. Bet they wont run as fast this weekend at Hastings but that will be back to dirt not nice soft grass. I almost went in the ring with bear feet at one point. Opps ETA: Hubby runs White feral, I run Chocolate feral, SIL (both of them this time) run Bailey. Polly can't be bothered with flyball most of the time and Dudley never got it. I think he is part of the Weiners Rainbow Bridge team. We had the very cute staffy pup. SIL had the just a cute BC pup.
  2. I think it does matter. Does your Ob club have some you can buy. Then you don't have to wait.
  3. Dogs are smarter than humans. I love the title though Just Midol made oopsy,
  4. Last I heard they were still working on them.
  5. that is very cool. Glad you mentioned the part about buliding up muscles. Would hate for some one to try and copy with out thinking about that
  6. DC: I think she may have crossed onto your new girl in the pairs at Camberra nationals too???
  7. Ed is such a sexy butt. I love watching good Ob work. Some people say it is boring but I love the working as a team part.
  8. I was running the Chocolate Feral, Except when she got carded and we had to do a mass handler swap. (My bad I shouldn't have re-run her with a ball in her mouth she thought she should bring both back) My Bailey boy will run for anyone but best for his Aunty Loo. I was so proud of all the dogs they all put in 100% and we got PB's from about 4 dogs.
  9. Just wanted to say what a great comp (well comps) it was and how welcome we were made to feel. It was great racing in every division. I don't think our dogs had anything else to give. I think we will be back next year.
  10. Can any one point me in the right direction for infomation on these two shows. Mainly the Agility I'm interested in but if I'm gonna go I might as well make it worth the trip over to SA. I think we might to Flyball there too.
  11. Rather than debating who's system is better why not give some deatils of what you use and why fo rthreadles and Serps there for making this a constructive thread. ETA: I'm new to all this and keen to here other peoples ideas
  12. I'm not sure you would really see a diffrence when watching some one run it??? It's more like a set of rules you follow in the way you handle a course. If some one could explain it would be good. I'm at work and can't type out long posts, I'm to likley to get caught up in it and have a boss walk up behind me
  13. I can see how people may be brainwashed by a particular training idea. Personaly I think that the GD system could well work for my dog as well as me. she takes a lot of notice of body language and I struggle with that. So the easy rules of BCBL, and Positional Cue's make it seem a lot easier to me. As for trashing other systems, I didn't feel he did that. Just showed some clips of things that went wrong and how if you used his system that shouldn't happen. Back on Topic: It is the straight lines that confuses me. Arh
  14. Woo Hoo. I was right in my thinking after all. Now I just have to get it all right in my Jumping run on Saturday.
  15. Yeah thats kinds what I thought. I did a threadle last night and felt I was flicking a bit over the second, but then the body turns so I don't quite know.
  16. Ok so I got claification on the Positional Cue thing we learnt at the GD week. Now I'm a bit lost on Serps and Threadles. I THINK I have it right. (well I got the dog over nicley) I'm a little concernd I'm Flicking though. HELP !
  17. Thanks KC I havn't seen that one yet. I thought great dog, shame about the handler sumed us up pretty well. Serp and Threadle handling stumps me a bit still. I think I would have understood it a little more had I had my dog there to try with.
  18. LOL yes that does make a lot more sense now. All of the PQ are a FC because thats what you need for the rest of the imaginary course. and with 4 on the other side of the jump that is posible. What about D? would that be a RC Or do you still FC there even though it is not near the next jump.
  19. Yeah a bit more sense. I think they were all FC's in this exersise
  20. This is to any one that went to the GD seminar or at least understads his handling system. I have some notes from when we were doing Positional Cue. The diagram I have has now stumped me as to how on earth you could get to PQ. I still understand that the PQ gives the dog the idea of where he might be going next, my diagram is lost on me though. Can any one help me make sense of it. I have attached a copy of it here
  21. I got side traked and other people have said simmilar things to what I was going to. I was thinking hesitate b/c of the temptation I also was wondering if it nessesary to have the reward there? If it is causing problems why do it?
  22. OMG that poor dogs ears. (sorry OT) That seemed like a poor flip with an extended hand signal anyway. Or is that what is expected of a flip. Flea doesn't go wide like that and have to walk back in she just jumps almost all the way around then shuffles her butt in. I have a vid some where I should find it.
  23. LOL Yeah Left about is what I ment. The first turn is the turn I thought she had nice but it is not like that, that is a really nice turn
  24. Hi All I'm just wondering if when in a trial and the judge calls Right About Turn if you have to do the round your legs turn or if you can do a U-Turn. My BC has (well had) a great turn but I have been doing lots of Agility sides work and also the stuff that Greg Derrett teaches and it must be working as her turn has gone wayward. She has a nice U-turn though. So just wondering if I can use this in a Ob trial or not.
  25. From what I have heard the last few days from Laura and Greg Derrett is repeated nose touch. I looked at some of their runs on youtube and it looks like a bobble head dog. Touch, touch, touch, treat, touch, treat, touch, touch, treat. Release. Thts my interpretation anyway
