  1. Well I buy a tub of yoghurt a week so I would definitely get use out of it and so would my wonderfully woofa's! And good to know cause I am not a sweet tooth either so just a little and increase it if need be! Have a look at the ingredients list but i am pretty sure the squirt things have sugar in them?
  2. Definately no added sugar that i do remember My partner is not a huge sweet tooth and I remember it being too sweet for him Totally agree if you are going to buy it you may as well use it yourself! You can even get smaller plastic container to transfer some into for work and stuff
  3. First Time Puppy Owner, I have not used the squirts for a while so can't remember how long they keep for once you open them but from memory it was a while! You only need a bit though they are very rich They are sort of like when you get those single yogurts with a dollop of fruit that you mix through?? hmmmm as for does it really taste like passionfruit?? Sorry i can't give an honest answer because it has been years and years that i got those squirt things even the packaging of them was different to what is on their website now
  4. you can get different flavoured sachets with the Easiyo as well Plus the pureed fruit squeezy tube things to add pureed raspberry or kiwi fruit or was it passionfruit?? to your yogurt ;) Also i *think* the easiyo has more live cultures in it or something?? I can't remember exactly what i read it will be in the box But it keeps for only 2 weeks I think? Well thats if it lasts that long in your house Here is a link for you if you want more information http://www.easiyo.com/australia/
  5. OMG 15 capsules a day :mad I noticed that it said 1 per day for human dosage that is for arthritis treatment i think it was more for cholesterol? can't remember what i read now I will go and google those things now :D Yes i did notice that Krill oil is significantly more expensive than fish oil, but if its a good product then i guess the extra expense is worth it
  6. Tomas, Thanks for that feedback, even if a dog is not really getting grains more than say 2 or 3 times a week or not at all you believe there is enough 6 & 9 in their diet? As for inflammatory processes can you please elaborate on that? With the Krill oil I like the sound of it! Might even get some for myself :D What potency do you give and how many do you give for your 40-ish kg dog?
  7. Those of you who supplement with omega oils do you just get the capsules?? I am using a mix of omega 3, 6, 9 that i just squirt on her food. I normally feed mince so i can mix the oils and powder stuff into it. Though i thought i should just feed chunks of meat so she has to tear at it more. I might just get a bit of mince like 100g for her powder though and then give her chunks of muscle meat instead of mince. I used to give her fish oil capsules and she used to just break them open with her teeth and then munch away on the capsule :D
  8. are they pretty much the same as BARF patties?? I don't think we have anything like that here in melbourne other than the Barf patties
  9. Bugger :p Could we perhaps pm you our emails and you email it on to us? Or does she want to keep it as her intellectual property? nope she is happy to share it around someone has already sent a PM asking for it  the reason i can't post it is that for some reason when i upload it i get a message to say this type of file is not permitted ???
  10. well i am trying to post an excel spreadsheet that Shoemonster very kindly emailed me that works out all the different percentages, you can change the percentages to suit, you can also change the weight of the dog, or the percentage of total food ..... she is a genius with excel and maths i reckon  But it won't let me post it
  11. Tongue is a muscle meat as well correct? Ox cheek? is that also muscle meat?
  12. Me too Good luck with it YG Me too :D In the meantime i might just give the ziwipeak one a go
  13. ahhh ok yep that makes more sense Staranais ;)
  14. hmmm ok not sure about the supplement now ;) I have no idea how much iodine is in the kelp in it?? nor does it say anywhere? plus if she gets that supplement on some days and the muesli which also has kelp in it on other days then maybe all combined it is too much kelp
  15. do you think you could do harm by adding too many? Yes, definitely. Too much iodine (from kelp) is not good for dogs, if you go overboard it can induce hypothyroidism. How much kelp would be considered too much?? Like in the teaspoon of that supplement i give kelp is one ingredient amongst others so not sure how much is in it? Same as the muesli has kelp but again it is one ingredient amongst others??
  16. It's true that there are bones in sardines (and sometimes in canned salmon) but for the amount she is feeding compared to everything else it's a very small amount (like less than 1%).... Thanks for that
  17. Laffi, I think in your calculations above the sardines would fall in the RMB category cause they have the bone in them?? Not sure about that though? Wonder if Salmon that you get in the tin is classed as a RMB or muscle meat?
  18. do you think you could do harm by adding too many? I give 1 teaspoon of this one about 3 times a week mixed in with her meat http://greenpet.com.au/pet-shop/cart.php?t...;category_id=74 about 3 times a week she gets about 1/4 of a cup of this Muesli mixed with her meat and on those days i don't add the other supplement http://www.innawinner.com/e-commerce-solut...-catalog14.html I also give most days Protexin and a squirt of omega oil mix
  19. Good Luck Pawprints I sincerely hope it all goes well for Tealc Hope you hold up ok today as well!
  20. OK so supplements What supplements if any do people add to raw diets?
  21. OK so Staranais would a more accurate break down be if feeding meatier RMB such as wings, lamb necks, marylands etc... to feed say 60% muscle meat and 40% RMB??
  22. Huski have you tried the mincing up yet?? and mixing it in with the heart?? what about the spleen and brains and stuff have you tried that yet??
  23. Doesn't heart fall into the muscle group rather than the offal group?
  24. for those of you who feed things like lung, spleen etc where do you source them from?? Do you just ask the butcher for these ;) Also has anyone in Melbourne been able to source green tripe yet? or is it illegal to sell? Is the canned Ziwipeak the best option as was suggested by someone here?
  25. Funny you mention that oonga, when I bought the tray of liver this week it was already frozen. I was chopping it up when it was only a little bit defrosted, and took a frozen piece and gave it to the dogs... a little while later I found two pieces of now defrosted room temperature raw liver on the floor Dogs, they can be such a PITA sometimes :D ewwwwww ok maybe throw that theory out the window for you might be worth getting it minced then and mixing through their meat? even if you put it through the food processor if you don't get your liver from the butcher?
