  1. If your bitch is a good producer then I would not stuff up her hormone cycle by terminating. Have the puppies. Hopefully you can register them. For sure you can find good homes for them. Good luck, it's not the end of the world and ignore all the tsk tskers Thanks lilli you have helped cheer me up as have some others my girl is sitting at my feet now so contented and if she does have pups and they all have to be just pets so be it there will be some happy people out there from it all. Sometimes things happen for a reason so will just accept it and get on with it. Only yesterday had an enquiry from a man very much wanting a mini but told him none to late next year - maybe not. Be upfront and honest, thats all you can do and in real terms you know whats best for your girl and I am sure no KC would ever question the protection of ones own dog ( whatever the reason!) Good luck in what you decide, Ill watch for you in the litters! lol
  2. If it were me I would be contacting the Qld KC and explaining what had happened, afterall she may not be in pup. Even if I had to pet out every pup if it was born, I would not be using the abort injection, I have heard some horror storries of bitches who could not get back in pup. good luck, but I say be upfront and seek the KC advice.
  3. The dog that played the main role of Red Dog in the movie sadly passed on today at age seven years from heart failure, I am not surprised as when I met him in August he was too fat! RIP fella, you and the other red Dogs have made the Aussie Kelpie a legend all over again.
  4. oh Mexican mmmmmmmmmmmmm come to Busselton we have Mexican there and Xolos! lol
  5. Hige congrats to all the litters so far, and good luck to all those expecting
  6. If you message her she will tell you, all good now, but tell her to DRINK more (water!!)
  7. RV Rach sends a BIG Condolence to you and lots of hugs, she is not too well and recovereing at home, but all good, I am sure she would lobve a FB message cheer up to anyone that knows rach!
  8. The Xoloitzcuintle standrad allows for missing or incomplete dentition, funny thing is the the Chinese Crested ( another hairless breed) standard makes no note of missing teeth in the standard ( all true hairless dogs have incomplete dentition) BUT they dont appear to be non awarded as they have missing dentition, ie not in the standard!! CC MOUTH Jaws strong, with perfect, regular scissor bite, i.e. the upper teeth closely overlapping the lower teeth and set square to the jaws. Xolo mouth Hairless Xoloitzcuintle: Strong jaws. The incisors should close perfectly in a scissor bite with the superior incisors overlapping; the interior surface of the superior incisors touching the external surface of the lower incisors, squaring the jaw. A level bite, edge to edge, is also permitted. The absence of a few incisors, canines, molars, pre-molars or rotated teeth should not be penalized, as many dogs do not have deep roots. Genetically, the absence of hair is closely linked to the absence of teeth. I would suspect most standards require full dentition ??
  9. I can vouch for natural Paws, and as well the owner is a Black Hawk distributor ( Great food!)
  10. While scars are of no importance, sound movement is vital, so a broken leg that hasn't healed well enough for the dog to move correctly would put them out of the ring. Show dogs should be judged on breed type, correct construction and therefore movement and temperament. In most breeds cosmetic imperfections should be way down the list of importance. wouldnt it be nice IF they were down the list ( cosmetic imperfections!!) But then again its each Judges opinion on the day, we had a Xolo in Europe very good example with 1 ear surgically removed, I see a lot of dogs scared that are good examples, but I see a lot who dont have their skin looked after which I find totally unacceptable in the Xolo breed
  11. In the Xoloitzcuintle standard it is written that scars and notches ( ears) should not be penalised, I know of a Chinese Crested dog that was shown with many wins with one eye.
  12. Thats right, its a cat 4 country due to UK letting dogs in from Europe with their new q/tine laws.
  13. disasterso true, look at what happened when EI arrived in Eastern Creek, that didnt stay contained for long Be thankful in a way you dont have a breed that has the dogs you want in Cat 6 Countries ( ie Mexico, SA is another) you cant import dogs from these countries, they have to go to a Cat 4 country first and then the process starts, I notice a lot of UK imports have stopped now with that and a few other eiropean countires being made Cat 4 now. The prices of transport have jumped a mighty way in the last 15 months as well.
  14. Yes this is true, but as most people get upset with the import time here in Australia, its better for the dogs in most countries as they can home quarantine, sorry i should have mentioned it, I thought it was clear cut. Quarantine didnt bother my dogs here, it was the overall time away from exposure that did.
  15. I emailed the costs didnt I ? and it is coming in as I was told............ JULY next year the ten day quarantine.

  18. Thats the one, excellent in my eyes, but why were there rump covers on the horses? is their a reason, in the UK we used them to keep warmth in
  19. what an interesting breed, I hope one day you can get Recognition here eventually, ;let me know if I can help at all, have a long history of new breeds and chatting with people, now they do not need a prefix to enter the show world just the Int Peds and the COO acceptance.,
  20. Mirawee share your lovely video clip, I enjoyed it a lot! The horse dressage one( Sorry not sure of the correct name )
  21. I saw them do that and I asked them if they had an official source and didn't get a reply. Even if their sources are good, and who knows, maybe they have a mate in the Minister's Office, I would still hate to see people start planning on the basis of that date and it turn out not to be correct. I don't work for DAFF btw, but I am a public servant and know how this kind of thing can change overnight. Yeah it was bad form of DNA to post a date with no official basis to go off. I just would hate for someone to prepare a dog thinking things were going to change when it might not. There must be something in the air beacuse thats when I was told as well, mmmmmmmmmmmm
  22. I am just costing up some semen but its from USA so I doubt much help.
