  1. well my breed is important for the correct pronumciation ( obvious reasons) but mainly out of respect for the breed and the Country of Origin, its not just a dog its a journey through history and the respect of that is part of the breed and the people who own the breed!!
  2. Congratulations PomsNZ great effort from all well done xox
  3. lololol well some CC s are that big they could easily be mistaken for a Xoloitzcuintle, but luckily the Cresteds are hairy! Dog help them next year when I get Miniature Xolos in!!
  4. It will be exciting for many, there are a lot of brilliant dogs out there that have been penalised by the old rule, I know the Azawakh ( sorry if the spelling is wrong) people are very excited.
  5. ahh Puddleduck I love that..... I tell kids its a good one to stump there teachers!
  6. Congratulations Becks! Look forward to your photos ;) I hope Amber is OK! Big congratulations Becks, I too hope Amber is on the mend. Belljari those pups are just too adorable
  7. You have done a lot to educate people on the correct pronunciation and I know you are pleased when pronounced correctly (as I found out at Dogs on Show) The problem with some breed pronunciations is that unless someone is fortunate enough to hear people pronounce it correctly they usually only guess the best they can. whats Dogs on Show ? The Spring Fair ? Sorry I bet I will regret asking lol\ pssst its in my sig here tooo! It might have been the Spring Fair, it was down at the herding. I don't normally venture up to the breed rings so sometimes get forgetful which event it is. Beautiful dogs. I did venture down to the herding and yes, I remember you, sorry met so many people, always like to see the brains of the dog world and not just the beauty!

  9. By the way anyone that has met me or the dogs know I spend a lot of $$$$ on name pronunciation cards for the breed!! Well worth it!
  10. I cant even post what someone called my breed once but if you dont say it right and miss an important I in the middle of X O L O I T Z C U I N T L E you get the drift!! The stewards just go "Xee " dog or point at shows!!! Its always a BIG win when people have a go at the name I am happy with a X easfghjdoyrte anything!!! Just have a go
  11. Sadly the Peruvian never took off here, only one came and he must be getting on now! If the UK Kennel Club was pushed the xoloitzcuintle would be recognised there and be able to be shown in normal show classes instead of the IR! I have a few people in the UK waiting for my Xolos, but I am not to keen to send them where they cant be fully shown, but one lady has offered to take a dog to the WDS for me!! I dont think the Peruvian is even on the IR in the UK is it ?
  12. WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANKC Conference amendment to Rule Part 6 3.3. This states that ALL pedigrees from recognised overseas bodies must be accepted as they are. This means dogs with no prefix as some countries do not have prefix in all cases ie MEXICO, as long as they have an INTERNATIONAL Ped can be registered here! Woo bloody whooooo thank you Mr W Burton, Mr G Doyle, and the ANKC New Breeds Group and all who helped to get this through, I will need to find a new naggggggg!!! and they said it couldnt be done!!!!!!!!! I am naturally very excited as a new import rather crucial to the breed here can now make her way to the Australian Xoloitzcuintle scene and no doubt many others can as well. NEW RULE: 3.3 No application for re-registration of any animal of a breed, whelped outside Australia shall be accepted unless the dog is registered in an overseas Register managed by a Canine Control recognised by ANKC Ltd and unless accompanied by the original registration issued by the controlling body in the country in which the animal was last registered and by an “Export Certified/Pedigree”. (10/06, 6.1.2) OLD RULE: ANKC Regulation Part 6 Clause 3.4 clearly states the imported dogs that wish to be reregistered MUST have: 1. Registration Number 2. A Suffix or a Prefix 3. A registered Name All other dogs in the background of the Export Certificate/Pedigree must have Registration number and a Registered Name. This means I have not wasted a LOT of money on a gamble I took a while back! Now for another challenge@!

  14. Wow becks, things could get very busy VERY quickly for you!! Funny you should say that! I've been up late tonight as the older girl, Amber has been throwing up, so will be off to the vets with her later on. Meanwhile her daughter, Blue has just had 2 pups and awaiting number 3 to arrive (nearly 5am here now, but who needs sleep eh? Big congratulations Becks and good luck with your sick girl. Funny how it all happens at once!!
  15. Nice puppy I dont know what breed but I will have that one!! I was thinking the same thing! HAHAHA do you mean the monkey? Was just saying to Gemelo that he is freaking me out as they sat him up in the corner of the whelping box before they left hes giving me creepy looks! No I meant the young man ( I am a dirty old woman!! ) lol or a perve !!
  16. Nice puppy I dont know what breed but I will have that one!!
  17. Thanks everyone for the puppy news, and thanks for sharing your news Lyndsay, when I announced we had lost the litter, I was a bit hesitant to post, but seeing all the developments ( good and not so good) is a learning curve for all and I for one will fondly remember as part of my dog journey, and when its our turn I hope you can all share with us Xolo enthusiasts, and enjoy it as much as I have been allowed to be part of all your news! Thanks again everyone.
  18. That is awesome!!!!!! You must be soooo excited to have had 4. CONGRATULATIONS thats fantastic news
  19. Thats news!! We are off to the vet, still bleeding THREE weeks! Later after pups went, not much but spots and I am not happy with it!
  20. Oh no Im so very sorry! RIP Maizie. Makes this litter very special then I am guessing.  I am so sorry to hear, sending hugs and strength to you all RIP sweet girl
  21. Oh wow this is worse ( the waiting) than actually being there! Come on someone I want some news! lol
  22. good to hear Boxagirl, I am sure with all you are doing things will be on the up. So nice to hear a good story of strength and courage, rather than the usual! Crazy Cresties dogs that are picked up by the ranger legally have 72 hours if No ID, if ID or chip of sorts they have a minimum 7 days, some rescue groups pick the ones they think may be viable to rehome, give them a call they may have it but not listed, and, tell your great aunt to be careful, if you feed and care for a dog YOU are deemed to be in care and control of that dog and can be liable for anything the dog does ( Ie Dog Attack etc) This is also the case when looking after other peoples dogs ( unless contracts are signed, YES, the law can be an ass sometimes, I KNOW after working with the ASS and associated assholes over the years!
  23. So sorry to hear Boxagirl, but be positive, you have her at home and thats a good sign, sending lots of Xolo strength to you both xox
