Good luck PomsNZ I am sure by now you are very busy, cant wait to hear. Thanks everyone for the advice its put my mind at rest a bit, the funny thing is she is still losing blood or spotting ( the vets have said this is normal) we did have an US and there was no puppies in there, well none he could see, but if a Solo Xolo ( love that) appears I shall be sure to let you know, lets just hope if that did happen she is not so hungry she tries to eat it! I cant see it being the same as a Phantom as we had the pups and she lost them ( reabsorbed at 42 days) This is just so odd, no breeders I have spoken to have seen or heard of the symptoms my bitch is having, very odd!! Do you thimk she may have a puppy there that was not picked up? My Dobe ended up with what I thought was a more full on phantom than normal as she had been mated. She had been xrayed and we were told no babies. She delivered one puppy at day 63 from her last mating. OMG I hope not, she has no tummy and as I said has lost a lot of weight, if there was one in there it would be an awfully small ooohhh I dont even want to think, but I am confident there is nothing in there, but thanks for the advice, she was only acrrying four and had none at the last us to make sure all was ok.

Oh Wazzat, that is sad. for all concerned. But the same thing can happen with a phantom. Don't worry...this to will pass. It will pass, but its not what I want to see nor put my girl through, a new import is imminent, so she can be the base I think, this has just left my bitch in an awful state, 6 kilos lighter and a mess, its been the most heartbreaking thing I have seen, losing pups is fine and we can deal with that, but watching Taha deteriorate is sad.

Taha Daha even though she lost her pups three weeks ago has milk and is trying to nest, one would have thought losing the pups that long ago the hormones would have settled, how the hell do you tell a dog, there are no puppies and no matter how much you nest they are not going to arrive! Her due date was in two days time, it is heartb reaking to watch and has made me rethink if we will in fact put her in pup again.

My Bitch Is 7 Weeks Pregnant But Theres A Problem
Wazzat Xolo replied to indigirl's topic in Breeders Community
Ive considered that, jsut not terribly keen on flying a bitch who is a nervous dog as it is, that far along in her pregnancy. Would you fly one of your dogs that far in whelp if it wasnt an emergency? Yes, she is only 7 weeks in whelp. Yes, we understand that you are upset, but you asked for answers and we are trying. Not everbody understand that where live can make it difficult. Is there any reason that another breeder could help you out by looking after her if you have to go away. well keep trying then, I would assume if you keep your cool and speak to the VET as others have suggested they may understand your plight! Good luck with the dog, and best of all keep cool! -

these are the things one MUST do!! I would travel anywhere for the health and welfare of one of my bitches! IN fact we have just lost a litter and we travelled over 400ks just to make sure she was ok, but I guess everyone is different, to me the dog is number one priority No matter what the cost or travel!! -
awww they are adorable, well done again Belljari, and Sunni xox
-
Is anyone from WA looking at any East coast shows next year? Sydney Royal, Canberra Royal? EKKA or up in Darwin ?? WE are hoping to get to them, just wondering if any others ??
-
congratulations Belljari, well done Sunni xox

It is getting a bit more difficult to import dogs now, well in a sense its almost like USA where one MUST use an agent ( maybe thats the way we are heading! Flatchat its great to track where they are, I get photos along the route sent of mine as well!
-
Fingers crossed that there's another bub hiding in there somewhere! One of Maizie's little girls passed away this morning. RIP little baby. So sorry Lyndsay, sending puppy hugs and good luck to the rest xox
-
I always use agents ( safe and sure and any muck ups they pay!) and ask for photos along the way they are more than happy to oblige.
-
Great news, its sad that it hasnt been well publicised to many who may be caught with the new rules. J
-
They MUST do 30 days here, if you email me OSS I can send you my details on import requirements and timings etc, qtine here in WA is $38 a day, other countries have varying rates but I have found cheaper, some breeders can accomodate dogs at their kennels etc and that again is cheaper. My email is [email protected] if you wnat a copy of the info. J

The UK and Sweden have changed their laws OSS at their end making it easier for them to import, BUT, tyhis makes the ris,k here worse so the AQIS have upped our status here as we have NO Rabies here. It is very sad for us, and costly, depending on where you source your breed from. Sadly I always have the good breeders for my breed in the Cat 4 countries!

I need some puppy pics, I am sulking!! PLEEEAAASE!
-
Congrats Lyndsay, glad all went well, Hilaryo your girl looks fab
-
Not good for Australia though!! Doesnt not affect me as all the Xolos I buy are from established breed countries, but sad for those that liked the 30 day quarantine period!
-
I'm assuming you have all the necessary vaccs & titre tests completed. What country are you importing from...if it's a category 4 country & you haven't got the ball rolling already, then I think you chances are slim to none, sorry!! I had my Belgian import released from quarantine yesterday & from the date of the Import permit (dated one month after the rabies vaccination - and when results from the titre tests came back within range) to the date she flew in to Sydney, it was 5 months. Category 2 countries are different (UK, Sweden)..you must still have a rabies vacc & blood work done but the animals are allowed in much earlier. WARNING!! as from Jan 1st Sweden and the UK are Cat 4 countries and will be SIX months quarantine, I posted this ages ago ( maybe on Facebook cant recall) and was challenged by " OTHERS" that know better but it is com8ing in as from January 1st, due to the new UK laws with Swedish imports which affects AUS directly. Should be on the AQIS site.
