  4. A xolo!!!!!!!! I have some coateds orderd for agility ladies in the east!
  5. I am interested to see how people come to the price range for their breed, puppies, co lease etc. I have only overseas stats, for my breed, but in my opinion a home that will promote the breed to its absolute advantage is a MUST have ( with a rare breed) I look forward to the answers. J
  6. Will be nice to meet some DOLers, yes I will be there MEH. J
  7. Just wanted to know if anyone I know will be at the Spring Fair this year late August, dont want to miss out meeting people I may know. There hasnt been much mentioned anywhere (Not that I can find) J
  8. Yes Mak did well BUT I dont like to steal OTHERS thunder!! Mak was Aus bred in Group, and of course Nacas handler WA had a great time, and was very sucessfull, but then again the BIS and RUBIS were exceptional dogs and just lovely to watch!
  9. Just a little brag for the xolo Ch Besitos Naca ( Imp USA) went Best in Group and Best Int in Show at the Darwin Royal Show this weekend Great people up there and great handling by Makaela the Junior Handler.
  10. It is not easy to bring in a breed for the first time and the criteria that has to be met plus the interpretation of the standard especially when it is in another language. Just ask the Podengo and Xoloitzcuintle people. It is easy its just a lot of research, which one has already usually done in looking at the breed, but people that have never done it assume its hard work, I honestly did not think it was hard work at all, it was all a learning experience, BUT what did surprise me was the lack of help from people who I thought may have been able to help,( they sure hepled with their mouth offs at times) but failed to actually offer any sound advice in the formulation of BSEs or any idea of what was involved!! I am currently assisting three people in their new breed "experiences" and looking at another down the track.
  11. Thanks Pap, yes, a few RU in group and lots of class in groups, an in show class win, but this the first GROUP and Class in show win for a PERUVIAN or a XOLO in Australia, very p,eased in only 12 months of showing!
  12. Thank you to the Great Darwin Royal Show people in particular Greg Eastlake and Graham the NACA rep, what a lovely show, we were very p,eased to have won our group and then awarded best Int in show BUT better still the fact the Judge pulled the two Xolos aside and requested a photo to show some Judges on how a Colo should be kept, wrapped! Thank you to Makaela and Cathy Myors (NT ) for handling. J Photos on my Facebook page
  13. Emery you can have it done as a last resort (as to euth) just get GH or a vet to say it is needed and you have tried all other alternatives etc. I think GH still does it. J Thanks wazzat its for a friend i thought it was a last resort and not ilelgal in wa just wanted to confirm and as far as i am aware it is still done by G. had a lady go me after i suggested, crate training, no bark collars or debarking after trying other options that every one of those options is illegal with the rspca and she is appalled i would suggest such a thing, gave me a good giggle lol It is not approved by the RSPCA except in a Vet approved circumstance as an alternative where the only other option is death! BUT it would be good for her to also find the cause as to why the dog is barking, as they DO NOT bark for no reason, its just a lazy owners way of saying "I cant be botherd! " and there are PLENTY of them out there!!

Hey mine havent even got hair and I love em! Hope the lovely Quinn is ok after his travels at the beach!!!! Get Quin all spoofed up and ready to educate some Xolos next Hols!! J Welcome Chelsey
  16. I thought you had another dog ? Is this another playmate for mason ? Sounds exciting anyway! The goldie did not work out - he was fighting mason so he went to a retired couple with no other dogs. oh ok, maybe a behaviourist could check Mason if he has troubles with a pup ? Mine had problems with my new dogs and I had a behaviourist out and it was great No problems and all were happy.

  19. Just ring them and make sure he is going to be in too... Maybe call the night before. I went in on Tuesday night - and was in to see a vet in 10 minutes, Didnt see George because he wasnt there and it was a basic routine thing.... Some people picking up there dog from surgery commented on how busy it was.... i just laughed im like you havent seen nothing, the queue can fill the waiting room and the verandah! Bahahahahaha and the car park and half the street when really busy :D Doesn't this vet surgery take bookings? Interesting approach! What happens if you are at the end of the queue and waiting for ages and it gets to 12 and he says no more patients?? No they don't take appts but they don't kick people out either george is very good like that and even if the appt is an extended appt he doesn't normally charge for it. Had my cat in with snail bait poisoning other week and couldn't beleive the little amount george charged me for three days in vet and steralisation he rocks :D on a good note just bathed three rottis and trimmed the girls nails as i have been slack and they are uber long. kept the corn flour on hand thankfully i only grazed three nails 2 on one dog an 1 on the other who pulled away bloody sook she is lol. they look a lot better and glad no reaction i normlaly am realyl careful but htey needed to be cut right back :S so i am wet and covered in corn flour but dogs are all ready for shows on weekend Thanks Emery will get there early and see if I can get in early, may have to miss the show, shich doesnt bother me but Mak would be devastated. may see you there. Thanks again
