My dogs need a bath before their worming/flea treatment tomorrow.

Anyone in Vic feel like coming over and doing it for me? :)

grumbles.. I better get off my bum and do it myself...

and yes, I posted this because I am procrastinating.

I've actually just bathed Jenna this morning. The first time in mmmmmmm too long probably. She is such a Teflon dog, she never really looks dirty so I don't bother very often. She does smell lovely now though :)

If you are using a spot-on worming/flea treatment I would not wash them now. You are going to strip all the oils and the treatment will not be as effective. I would apply it now and wash them a week later.

Oh really? Glad you told me that

bugger.. they are a bit on the nose.

Maybe I'll bath them and then treat them in a week.. they are due on the 3rd anyway... a few days late shouldn't make a difference yeh?

you can totally bath them now and treat them in a week :) the treatments usually last quite longer than the advertised time so few days will definitely be OK :)

I think I may "know" you teekay LOL

I bath mine every 2-3 weeks unless they play in mud.. but mine are little and can be done in the laundry sink LOL I imagine it would take a month of Sundays to get Jenna looking white

What gave me away? :) :)

Yeh, there was alreay a Tkay here so I had to pick a different one. Not very different though eh? I can't be bothered with different names for different forums. Makes life too complicated

you can use a flea treatment right after a bath, just not right before (or ya wash it off!) I have a few customers who bring their flea dose with them for me to put on after I've groomed their dog. lol!

My girl is getting a bath & groom next week, she got a bath on xmas eve.

if it makes you feel any better i am procrastinating about doing a 4 hour brush on an Old English Sheepdog... i can think of what breeds i'd rather do.

How about a Dobermann LOL

It takes 5 minutes to wash them and no time to dry :)

Sorry to throw that one in the ring - I just cannot imagine doing a 4hr brush! Arrrrgh waaaay too much!

I like having drip dry wash'n'wear dogs LOL
