My maltese loves small Quail eggs..she eats the shell and contents.....are these harmful as they are fresh from the nest?...I know raw eggs are harmful but is that hens eggs or eggs in general?

Eggs are not harmful to dogs. Many dogs eat hens eggs, including the shells. I think your dog is lucky to get quail eggs

Raw eggs are not harmful. Those of us who feed a raw diet usually include raw eggs including the shell.

Raw eggs; shell and all are fine for you dog to eat. :D

Like it has been said, those that feed BARF (myself included), feed whole eggs to their dogs. The dogs love them!

My dogs eat lots of Raw eggs, i tend to feed my puppy only the yolk at present...........But we feed Raw and we have our own eggs, so they get raw eggs, a lot.................they often steal chicken or duck eggs. i think freshness is important and I suppose the possibility of salmonella. But if you see some of the things dogs eat in general, eggs look good
