Just wondering about the older pugs actually.

I've often thought about the real oldies and what ages they are living too, they are living longer these days which is fantastic. Some of the old pug books say that they can live up to 12 but the books were written 20 years ago.

Just curious.

I've heard 12-14 years, but I'm sure there are exceptions.

Lola is 5.5 yrs.

I've heard of pugs making it to anything from 12-16 or more years!

ETA my girls are 2 and a half and almost 2!!!

Bert is a 1 year old on April 30th

My family pug (Ernie) is still kicking on at the grand old age of 12, despite having had cancer for the past 3 years

I am not sure there is any evidence to suggest they are living longer, and I would be interested to see it if there was though. I have known Pugs that have lived till they were 16. I believe the average is around 13/14.

My Pugs are;

Monte - 7.5

Boofy - 7

Olivia - 5.5

The oldest Pug I have ever personally owned was Rosie, who was around 15 when she died.

Our friends pug was ancient! No, really I think he was around 15-16, Possibly older. I know he was older than me at the time!

Bonnie is nearly 9 now

Wuggles is 9 months old today ,I have heard they can live up to ripe old age of 16.It used to be 12-14.

Max was just over 15 when he died. Toby almost made it that far.

There is a pug on Dogster that is 19!
