A man has been charged after allegedly inciting his dogs to attack four people in separate incidents in Sydney’s south-west yesterday.

Shortly after 4.30pm (Thursday 20 October 2011), police were called to King Street, Tahmoor, following reports two men had been bitten by dogs.

Officers attached to Camden Local Area Command attended and were told the owner of the Pit Bull Terriers had incited the dogs to attack the men, aged 33 and 38.

It is alleged that after one man was chased and bitten by the dogs, the other man climbed onto a nearby car bonnet to escape, however, the owner allegedly threw one of the dogs on him.

Both men suffered minor wounds.

A short time later police were called to a fast food shop on nearby Larkin Street after reports another man had been attacked by dogs.

Camden Police attended and found the 51-year-old shop owner suffering a severe wound to his leg.

The man told police he was bitten after he asked the owner of the dogs to leave his shop.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics treated the man before he was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for further treatment.

Investigations commenced and police were made aware that a male youth had also been attacked by the dogs at nearby Tahmoor Railway Station a short time earlier.

Police are yet to identify the youth.

Following inquiries, a 46-year-old man was arrested at a home on Ibbotson Place, Tahmoor, shortly after 7pm.

The man was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with three counts of cause dog to inflict bodily harm.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on 29 November 2011.

Council rangers attended the house and have seized the two dogs.

Inquiries are continuing into the alleged incidents and to identify the youth attacked at the railway station.

Anyone with information should contact Camden Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
