 shoemonster I have 10 days to go, Bosun is doing well he is growing so fast he is only 5months old and is now almost as tall as my girl.

I'm living in a mad house at the moment we have our four plus the two fosters (i'm not sure if i'm going to let one of them go :) ).

I should be back on my feet in a few weeks (as long as I recover alright from the c-section) I can't wait to catch up with you all again.

Kristie: really sorry I didn't end up catching up with you too many things happened too fast.

I tried to find the other thread but couldnt find it

Anyway i have a couple of foster puppies here who require socialisation with other dogs.

They seem to have had no other contact outside their littermates and mother, so i need some dogs who are calm and friendly to young pups.

They bark and raise their hackles a fair bit when they spot another dog and because i dont have access to any friendly dogs around here they get away with it at the moment. The only dogs they have interacted with are mine.

I need to get on top of this while they are young.

So does anyone have any dogs that will help these guys?

I wouldnt mind joining you if you dont mind. I have 3 7 month old puppies who think everyone loves them. Perhaps puppies might not seem so threatening to your puppies as an adult dog. Mine are 2 borders and 1 ACD. It would be good for mine too.

regards Titch

The thing with these guys is they get defensive over what they consider theirs and do growl at other dogs. So what i need is good stable dogs that wont have a go back, making it worse.

I will have one pup out at a time so that may help reduce possessiveness like they have here.

Yep

See you guys then.

Sorry, I couldnt make it after all. Next door's horse got out and my horse got caught up in the fence in a big hissy fit. I am still waiting for the vet to arrive. Wish I could have come though, it would have been good to meet you guys.

Im glad to hear that they went so well. My puppies would have loved to meet the other dogs too. Its hard to get them well socialised when I have 6 dogs, though they seem to be pretty well behaved considering.

The vet didnt arrive till late. He was caught up in surgery. Hope's legs are a mess. Might be some serious tendon damage. We can only wait and see. She is due to go and get broken in soon but not sure now if she will ever be rideable. Could have permanent tendon damage. fingers crossed.
