Camera Pro Or Dwi?

I'm lucky enough to have a husband willing to buy me a new camera and some lens for my birthday
. From CameraPro, the total is $2678. For the same items from DWI it is $2211. I've bought from DWI before and been happy, but I was only spending about $500 at the time. Now I don't know which one I should buy from. Any guidance would be very greatly appreciated

I know, feeling very lucky!!!
Annie, how do they work the invoicing to avoid GST? And what would happen if I had a problem with the camera or lens if I bought through DWI?

I took out the extended Mack waranty when I bought the 7D, and with the couple of lenses I bought (I think they were just under $1k each) - bought them one at a time I didn't bother with waranty. I have everything insured though, so maybe, just maybe if something goes wrong it might be because I dropped it?
Read on here a while back that customs hae been targeting DWI import packages to check contents against invoices to ensure they match

Ah, OK! Good point re insurance
. Thanks! Seems I'd be better off going with DWI then seeing as they are that much cheaper. And I maybe slightly altered what it would all cost when I told my husband
They do have excellent service - very fast delivery - just be careful though, as sometimes couriers around here take things to the PO if you are not home, others just leave stuff on your doorstep - I got 2 kindles that way

FedEx are driving me mental at the moment! The camera has been here for three days and they have apparently made two delivery attempts without being able to find my house. No-one else has any trouble finding my house. I then requested that they leave it at the post office and they said No, they can't do that. Yet if we have items delivered to work that's exactly what they do! So then I said can you get the driver to phone me when he's in Redesdale and I can give him directions and they said no, the drivers don't carry mobiles
. Urgh. I think I'll now have to drive down to the depot to collect it myself. Frustrating

http://en.wikipedia....iki/Grey_market - this explains grey market, the warranty may be invalid with the compony if you purchase grey market eg Canon so you would need to purchase warranty on top of the camera.
Another 2 shops I like
http://www.digitalca...rehouse.com.au/ (not grey market)
and in USA http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ - great with the exchange rate now

Yep
I actually emailed them this week about getting a D700, they were super fast with their response and I am able to pick it up from their showroom in the city (which is only 10 minutes from work). Yippee!
