  1. Why are people bagging other grounds and being so defensive. God I have shown at BOTH grounds in Albury in the deep mud and water!
  2. Great idea but not feasible around here, if we limited it to pointers or spaniels etc then the entry wouldn't be great, however, the whole gundog group is reasonable.
  3. Oh yea, another wet weekend! At least the knew gummies are getting used
  4. Woodys at this stage it is a twinkle in our eyes! We need 30 DogsNSW members or associate members who are resident in the Southern Region of NSW to start the club, over and above that members can come from anywhere. The idea is to hold one or two shows possibly in conjunction with the DogsNSW Southern Region Country Classic in June/July. Some thoughts are that there may be sweeps, veterans, brace, breeders teams etc to make it a fun weekend. If it comes to fruition then you could have 4 shows in 2 days or 5 shows in 3 days, depending on how many days Southern Region has. At the moment the Southern Region Hound Club hold two shows on this weekend and another breed club is looking at holding their shows on this weekend too. So if we add a Gundog club this could grow into an even more fabulous weekend. We do people to email their interest so we can gauge when/if we can hold a meeting to start the club.
  5. Friday: Group 2: BIG - as for RU BIS - Kerry Blue RUBIG - Border Baby - Skye Minor - Puppy - Junior - Inter - BIG Aus Bred - RUBIG Open Foxie -
  6. I would say "ah piss off you two" but it might get me a little holiday! so......thank your lucky stars you get a group breakdown, many other shows get nothing. It is not a requirement to provide anything. :D
  7. And now, 9 days before the show, entries are coming in and people are getting grumpy because they are not entered. Hey, if you send your entries BEFORE closing day you will be entered in the show. SIMPLE!!!!! I mean REALLY the schedule has been advertised for two months, get your act together!!!! Cranky? Damn right I am cranky, at you people for getting angry at me for something that is wholey and solely your own fault!
  8. Just make sure you cut around the edges of the entry form.
  9. I close shows 2 weeks before the show. If you want your numbers back in the post then they need to be posted out in a reasonable time. I am in the country, no overnight/express envelopes here! And please, don't ring and explain you have been sick for a week and that is why you haven't been able to get your entries in....think about it.....the schedule has been in the journal for two months!!!!
  10. Awe now, you loved her and cared for her! Well yes I guess we did How is she by the way? Hope she is fully recovered now She is great, Ican't believe the recovery. She still dribbles quite a bit of water but is getting lots down.
  11. Before 8am - I always think someone in my immediate family must have died or be nearly dead if the phone rings then. Not a good feeling and I ofen answer the phone with "who died?". Yep that was my first thought, someone is dead! I think he got the message I wasn't happy grrrrrr.
  12. Oh the lives of Secretary's and cataloguers! When you have your phone number on a show schedule you are easy pickings! So my question is...what is the earliest and lastest times you would ring with a question or information? I have been having a real stressful time with one of my bitches in the vets and not sleeping much at all. Then yesterday morning I finally went into a deep sleep somewhere around 4am and low and behold, the damn phone woke me up at.......7.30AM!!!!! Am I the only one that thinks this is WAY too early? Even if I hadn't been having sleepless nights I still think 7.30am is way too early to ring someone, especially a stranger!! This person rang to say he had sent his entries the day before and had forgot to put his bitches class on the entry! I got his entry yesterday and guess what??? The class WAS on the entry!! So a pointless call ANYWAY!!!
  13. Yes you are entered and you can pick your number up at secretary's office. It would have helped if you had put 'your name/the other owner name' when you entered ozentries then it would be clear who the number goes to.
  14. The cocker standard doesn't say full dentition and I believe a working breed is generally forgiven for what could be a working accident.
  15. As far as thinking a judge isn't checking full dentition, they can discretly slip their finger in the side of the mouth and feel the teeth, if there is an obvious gap then they will check them out visually.
  16. And I guess that is one reason why breeding shouldn't be a last minute thing!
  17. At the Canberra Royal on the Thursday we went to buy a can of drink and the two vans were selling them for $4.00 each So we just drank our water and went to KFC up the road!
  18. Thoughts are with Fliss and family at this sad time.
  19. If the breed standard states 'full dentition' then the judge MUST check, if they don't then they obviously don't know their breed standards or simply don't care. In the gundog group all FCI breeds must have full dentition, e.g. GSP, Vizsla, Wei
  20. I hate the ones who ring two weeks before the show and get angry because entries have closed. Hello......the schedule was in the journal TWO MONTHS AGO!!!!
  21. I did get any passes either, but I read in the fine print that as we are on on thursday you don't need a car pass Thanks for that, we are on Thursday and I guess I should have read the fine print LOL!
  22. So does anyone know if we were supposed to get a car pass and entry passes with our numbers? Like other years? I didn't get anything this year other than the breed breakdown, my number and some safety information.
