  1. We taught our kelpie x, Sassy, to 'speak' on command when she was working in the yards by simply saying "speak up Sas" when she barked at the sheep of her own accord. After just 3 barks, she caught on and began to bark on command at the age of 6 months !!! This has been very helpful in the yards. Which is good because she is basically useless in the paddock because she just runs circles around the motor bikes. This is a problem in itself and if anyone has any suggestions as to how to prevent her running around the bike, would be greatly appreciated. She is fine when everyone is on foot or horseback, but not with the bikes. She even obeys commands such as 'go back' and 'go way back' and obeying points in a direction. :p P.S Will try to get pics of Sassy who is now 11 years old
  2. My 3 year old cat still does this. Has since we got him from the RSPCA in Tamworth. His eyes seem to 'spin' and then he gets playful and a little bit boisterous! So I know what you mean by that!!
  3. On behalf of the Hutchison family, I would like to say farewell to their beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bindi. A member of the family. Bindi didn't leave without a fight. Bindi decided when and where holidays would be taken. Her favourite place was Jackadgery Caravan Park, NSW where she could roam free (but not far) and go for a swim with Katie and Jamie in the slow and gentle currents of the Mann River. Bindi suffered from a stomach infection (how no-one knows...) After two plasma transfusions (operation where white blood cells are transfused into the blood), Bindi passed away. :D Although this was nearly two months ago, Bindi is still sadly missed by all. For all who read this, please send your wishes and condolences to Duncan, Joy, Danielle, Jamie and Katie Hutchison
