RS, did you get the PM I sent? It hasn't saved in my sent box so now I can't remember if I pressed the send button properly
-
Glad to hear he had a great time Funny that he got stuck in mud though! Where did he even find mud? Welcome and remember to post photos Sorry I can't help with trainers in that area.

Thank you I have passed it on

Emery or any other Rotty people who frequent the WA thread.... Is there a WA Rotty rescue? A friend has just told me that someone she knows wants to give away two male Rotties - preferably together as they are father and son! Father is registered, son isn't. Any suggestions. Both are likely not currently sterilised...

Yeah, it just means it is a bad judge who obviously wouldn't know a good dog if they tripped over it Coz of course any Aussie you own would be perfect RS *Note: the above is said firmly tongue in cheek*

I would be if I can't get to the one on the 25th June. I can't do the September one as have a major horse show Aren't the current two in the Southern Suburbs? Maybe taking one North (or closer to the centre) would be good?

Not all of us Agreed. I have never been drunk And because I don't drink much alcohol I have never been that keen on going out and watching others get drunk! Tiggy, I have been eyeing that off too
-
Yeah RS, I have never know you to be puppy clucky And apparently a "real" life is one where you go out and get drunk and have a boyfriend and stuff like that? And have to wear a dress Or so I have been told ;) Yeah but playing with other people's puppies (reading that after 11pm at night makes that sound wrong ) in the ring is the only way I get there as I am crap at training my own dogs :D I need to get a bike first What track? The gravel one at the back of your place near the rifle range or the one that goes to the HV dam at the end of HV road?
-
Pudding is lovely I am puppy clucky again now though :D Lots of multidog families as lots of us on here compete with our puppies as we don't have a "real" life Although saying that I split my time between the horses and dogs

I have a large container (5L?) of loose chalk we got when we were showing Shelties (16 years ago!) We showed the shelties for a couple of years although not that regularly and then I have used it for my horses for the last 10 years. I think it is still half full I just got it from a dog show supply shop

Um Isnt Showing A Desexed Bitch Wrong?
mirawee replied to Missymoo's topic in General Dog Discussion
Where? The only shows that have neuter classes in WA are the ones who have already had them for years - which means maybe 2 or 3 per year. Given it I would be showing the only desexed dog of my breed that means it will take me about 8 years to get my dog's neuter title ;) Saying that, I do not think it is right to break the rules of showing. Yet 90% of competitors do everytime they compete. It is fun walking a black kelpie to the ring on a windy night past other people's trolleys So the question is, why is it so much worse to compete with a desexed bitch than it is to compete with a product covered dog? Both affect coat Coming from a horse background I am another who finds it strange that desexed dogs can't compete against undesexed dogs. -
Picnics will be great once the little guy gets his immunisation up to speed. I'll PM Trudiann and ask her opinion thanks! Trudiann isn't a member I have emailed her. Will answer your PM when I am on my computer rather than my phone lol

Oh no Baby Bear is a dog agressive Staffy :D We got a soaking yesterday afternoon/evening. Ground was even still moist this afternoon ;)
-
Please tell me you are going to show ;) Regardless, welcome to the WA thread and Lappy ownership. I am fairly sure there will be a Lappy picnic once it cools down in a couple of months I really should start organising it now then I might manage to get it sorted For vets, I will ask Trudiann (another Lappy owner) who she uses. I know she is very happy with them and her sister took her dog there from Canning Vale as she wasn't having any luck with the local vets :D
-
What, dogs aren't meant to eat spiders? Daddy long legs can't penetrate skin with their fangs, so the chances of it biting her are pretty slim. Plus you would have drowned it anyway
-
Show dog - just out of interest it is common for international judges not to award a challenge for a dog under 12 months? I know you didn't ask me, but I will answer anyway :D It certainly isn't unusual for judges to give that reason for non-awarding a dog under 12 months. But I have only had it happen to me once or twice and have had other international judges give them the CC. Of course in breeds with more than 1 dog competing it is less common as they just give it to the older dogs

Thunderstorm isn't due until tomorrow All the rain yesterday just made today worse! My Canine News is in a "safe place" as well
-
Bugger AP. Maybe Trixie thinks you haven't been giving her enough attention? Fancy leaving her with your Mum for New Years :D Hopefully your vet can sort out her anal glad fully tomorrow and the heart issue was just a false alarm - maybe she didn't like having the finger up her butt?
-
:D Don't tell me that you are squeamish about a little blood :D Poor Trixie, that is why my guys get theirs cleaned out when they are washed
-
She has a nice big hole in teh side of her hoof and is feeling very sore and sorry for herself She seems to have just sliced a chunk out though rather than ripping it and damaging anything major :D I should put the photo up on FB LOL
