I was just thinking I need to get Banjo some PJs :D He keeps looking at me in the morning as if to ask if we are seriously getting up as it is too cold Kinta on the other hand doesn't really seem to care about the cold (and of course the Lappies don't mind ) Banjo is just a wuss

Woot :) Need Help Finding A Breeder For A Coworker!
mirawee replied to ~tj~'s topic in General Dog Discussion
There are no WA breeders on their list though which is why I didn't suggest them I thought there used to be but not anymore -
TJ I have replied on your other thread There are no show Kelpie breeders in WA. There are only 4 entire showlines dogs that I am aware of and two are males and one of the females is too young yet Trinity is the only other bitch in WA (mother to the young girl). Send Kelpiesrule a PM as she bred Trinity and so will know if Trin is being bred again anytime soon I do know of a litter in SA though that may have pups still available. Otherwise there are several working kelpie breeders.

There are no show lines Kelpie breeders in WA (I only have a male so it is a bit hard ). Although I think the bitch in WA who recently had a litter is going to be remated... contact Suthernskys kennels in Qld (they are on DOL) and she will be able to tell you as they bred the bitch. There are quite a few working lines Kelpie breeders. Contact the WA Working Sheep Dog Association: http://www.ami.com.au/~pat/wawsda2.htm and they will be able to put you onto someone In terms of show lines Border Collies in WA I would recommend Winpara Who is also a member on here For working lines the same link applies as for Kelpies -
Congratulations I am looking forward to seeing photos too

Not that great... I keep remembering other breeds that I missed I was actually suprised by the number of 400 BCs. To be in 400 they are under height standard (although one of the WA 400 BCs is working lines) - they are also generally females. There are only 2 that I know of in WA, but there were quite a few more who came over from the other states Kelpie bitches are 43-48cm so can definitely be in 400 and still in breed standard -

Small dogs (200 and 300) that competed at the National Agility Trial: Mini Poodles JRT Cavalier CKS American Cocker Tenterfield Terrier Scottish Terrier Small White Fluffy (and yes that is what his "breed" has been put down as on the associate register He is most likely a Maltese cross) Scruffy terrier crosses Pomeranian Shelties (smaller ones) Mini schnauzer (very cool dog!) Beagle In the 400 range we had: NSDTR Border Collie Kelpie Manchester Terrier German Pinscher (sp) Finnish Lapphund (but they are generally not that high drive and being Spitz can decide they won't play that day!) Coolie Mini Poodles (larger ones) Shelties And that is all I can think of without looking at the catalogue -
Go the Kelpies Congratulations on his title He is certainly looking lovely

And who says agility is only for the Border Collies? Will put up photos now of many of the different breed that competed over the 4 days Interestingly I don't have any good photos of Aussie Shepherds -

Amypie and Kyzer... -
Sandra Yearsley who runs Shelties is in Bunbury. There is Bunbury and Districts Obedience Club (they have an agility trial next weekend ) and I imagine they have agility training since there are a couple of members who compete - but it wouldn't be that big.

Smisch it is Sydney in 2012, probably June It is just that at presentations last night our committee chairman was going to pass the "torch" (think Olympics) over to the next host state... SA After an outcry of NSW he did say that it was NSW - via SA for all of us from WA Have just started downloading my photos now so hopefully I will soon have some up of DOLers And I also agree a big congratulations to the committee for doing such a great job -

Amypie, I was very happy with Varda as she did more than I expected her to do ;) But after the States the plan had always been to give her the second day off and having jumping second just sealed the deal And I will have to watch Kyzer today... how does a small dog miss his contacts? Yes, I know it is possible it just takes a lot more dedication than for a bigger dog ;) xena98, nice to meet you too... although you weren't as loud as you said you were going to be May the agility gods smile on us all today -

Missed this ;) Since Agility is on first tomorrow and she isn't exactly high drive she will stay home and then come back on Sat when Jumping is first again ;) She would do even worse if she had to hang around all day before getting a turn -

Well then look for the cabana with 2 Aussie Shepherds (Jenna and Abbey), a black kelpie (Banjo), 2 mini poodles (one a parti-colour), a brown kelpie x (Toby), a chessie (Lincoln), a tenterfield terrier (Kyzer) and not sure if Trixie is coming back tomorrow either ;) -
I put my results in the Nationals thread ;) My only highlight from today was Abbey finally gained her last leg for ADX today. So it only took 2 years after she managed to gain her AD in her first 3 trials And she is through to the finals on Sunday so should give the crowd lots to laugh about as chances of her getting another clear in ADX over the next 3 days are very slim ;)

Rach, I will be there around 7.30 and others in our group (Amypie, OzJen, vCBR) might be earlier. Our Cabanas are on the corner closest to the car park on the road side If that makes sense ROFL. Had a good day today... mostly Abbey got her last leg for ADX and qualified for the finals The other dogs all bombed though
