  1. So you give a tablet a day? or..? He gets a tablet a day until he's over the problem. Spider bite one table is enough but some of the allergies require him to be on it for a week or more. No real grass in our yard, and thanks to our girl no plants on the dogs side either. Not much left out there for him to be allergic to. Our vet recommended it - he uses it on his dogue de bourdex. You get some really funny looks from the pharmacist when you answer the usual "who is it for, have you used it before".
  2. I love this thread - very timely for me. I'd really love some feedback on our site please For those who havn't done one yet NetFusion Objects is a free web builder program and it's really easy to use. Gives you plenty of options for your site. Ours is hosted by Hostess (sorry DOL) and allows us plenty of traffic.
  3. We use Telfast 24hr on our Neuter who suffers from multiple allergies....fleas, spiders (and he still chases spiders ) etc.
  4. Definitely stick fast - vet checked it (unless they got that one wrong too) - painfull to get rid off
  5. Well here goes nuttin.... ours usually end up in Redbubble but why not here too.
  6. If it's stick fast flea (poultry flea) which is VERY small - good luck and have fun - we didn't. The female burrows under the skin in areas where the coat is thin and lays her eggs under the skin. We ended up ripping out our grass and putting down artificial. They don't appear to like fake grass or the special sand that goes under it or on it. The dog is alergic to them too - so when he does get an "attack" he's on antihistamine until we get it back under control.
  7. mucusy sounds like colitis - my boy suffers from inflamed bowel when he is stressed....fine when everything goes back to normal.
  8. Our boy became very depressed and incontinent. Apparently normal side effects but he just got them in the extreme. He was only on it for a few weeks when we changed vets and took him off them.
  9. After reading almost every scientific paper I could on the heritability of behavioral traits I now take a very simplistic view - If they didn't learn it: it's hereditary - If it's been learned: it isn't hereditary This would have made more sense if I'd qualified it with ---- she could have inherited more of dads traits than mums...
  10. It looks like an Estimated Breeding Value program - I'm not a big fan of those personally
  11. Ratsak is an anticoagulant type using warfarin and other blood thinning agents. Vitamin K has been suggested as the antidote for both people and pets ingesting it directly or secondary. What you need is a bait containing phosphides. Phosphides don’t accumulate in the tissue of the poisoned rodent therefore the risk of secondary poisoning is low. The most common is Zinc Phosphide. Other than that the only alternative is specialized traps which prevent pets from accessing the bait and prevents the rodent from exiting the trap.
  12. What Is a BNP file? Or how Is It different to a JPEG ? I also thought that the bigger the file as in Pixels the better It would print! I have CS4 Thanks again In Photoshop on your top menu go to Image/Image Size - The resolution (DPI) we leave at 300 and change the document size. If the constrain proportions box is ticked you only need to change one of the aspects - we use Width 10cm - Pixel dimensions and Document size change proportionately but resolution stays the same. Then to save we use save as - drop down the format box and select PNG (we only do this for bubble)- when you do that it asks about interlaced or non interlaced - select interlaced. Our understanding is that an interlaced image is a far better quality and it uses the same space. I've borrowed the next bit from bubble (please don't dob me in) ’ First, always save your original photo or artwork as a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) formatted file from the start. Do all your editing, such as color corrections and cropping, on this PNG file till you get the final image you wish to submit. The reason for this is that the PNG type format is a completely lossless format, and will remain the same quality irregardless of the number of times it is being saved. ‘ I've also taken that last bit to mean that each time we save it we lose a bit of quality. I know someone can shoot me down on using the DPI rather than PPI but it's worked for us so far without problem. Have fun
  13. We have a number of photos on bubble and have had them do some posters for us - always good quality. the ink you use is different to the inks they use in production runs - not only in the composition but in the actual colours. You can get a file fairly close to those colours in photoshop and other programs do have options to alter the colours for industrial printing requirements. What program did you do the photos in and what format and settings did you upload the files as? They were all edited In PS maybe a couple In LR, I'm not sure what you mean about format or settings, but they were uploaded as JPEG, sorry not really savy In this department I feel horrible complaining to them, but might shoot them a message and see what they say Thanks for the Input all All the ones we have done were done in Photoshop 7 - with the DPI at 300 but reducing the length and height to make the file smaller and then saved as BNP file. No problems with ours. Give that a try with your next lot of uploads and see how they come out. We also need to adjust the contrast on any pics we print to canvas otherwise they come out to light.
