  1. LOL daisy tends to ignore other dogs too but I actually like that
  2. Great work Chloe and Pep! They are such a great team
  3. I hope so ETA: I saw your edit Sally and that's very nice of you I wish she was like that all the time.
  4. I hope you're not disappointed BL Especially if she repeats her "performance" from obedience club tonight Feeling close to throwing in the towel atm
  5. Do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt :p I'll give her cuddles if you ever get sick of it :p Oh - only four more sleeps
  6. Bring Winnie!!! PLEASE :p I haven't met her yet and I am SO puppy clucky it's unbelievable
  7. No you don't, that's why you are going to a training workshop :p I think it's fine if you have two, just never more than one out at a time, if that makes sense?
  8. Thanks everyone for your thoughts! :p Just got back from the vet and he said it's most likely a sebaceous cyst but seeing as it's not causing her any pain or distress, he said it's not urgent that it be removed. I've booked her in for next week anyway, because I think it's better to get it removed sooner rather than later. That means she'll still be able to come to the workshop
  9. Awesome MrsD can't wait! Poor Miss Daisy is off to the vet this afternoon I found a small lump on her leg last night as I'm quite sure it's a cyst. It isn't bothering her at all but if the vet says it has to be removed ASAP she will be out of action for this weekend fingers crossed that it isn't serious and won't need to be removed urgently.
  10. Hi everyone My little Cherry dog is getting older and she doesn't have much sight left. We usually drop her at the groomers and leave her there but I'd really rather not do it anymore if I can help it, she's becoming more easily stressed now without all her sight and I know she'd be more comfortable if we got her clipped at home. She really needs a clip because she is really feeling the heat. Can anyone recommend a groomer who will do house visits in the inner northside? We are in Windsor. TIA
  11. Gooooo Seita and Ella!! What a great score!! And huge congrats to you Ptolomy, what an awesome effort with Scoota. Getting that UDX pass must of felt amazing. Do either of you have video?? ;)
  12. I also use Anvet at Kedron for general things, they are lovely But for a specialist opinion I'd go to someone like Rowan.
  13. I had two vets tell me Mish had arthritis and there was basically nothing I could do for him until I took him to see Dr Rowan who told me almost straight away that he didn't have arthritis, but an injury that he was able to fix very easily. The change in him was almost instant. I trust him explicitly now!
  14. Definitely go see Dr Rowan Kilmarten at Animal Options - they are a holistic vet and a bit of a drive (I am northside too) but so thorough and SO worth the trip. http://www.animaloptions.com.au/
  15. Wow great runs with Lomani, Nicole!! Huge congrats on your ADM title!!! That lead out in your JDM run was really impressive!
  16. I know, it's nuts. She mustn't be a beagle though because I can keep her nose off the ground :)
  17. I accidentally taught Daisy not to bolt out the front door. At our old place, I used to feed the cat on the front porch next to the door. Daisy worked out very quickly that sometimes there would be cat biscuits in the bowl next to the front door so if the front door was ever open and she got out, she'd get about two paws out the door before stopping and licking the cats bowl and scenting around for any lost biscuits
  18. Said to me by an obedience instructor when I showed up with my Siberian: "I wouldn't bother with one of those" Oh not quite a question either, but a stupid comment at a recent trial I was stewarding at, when a competitor asked me what kind of dog I had, I told her I had a beagle and she said knowingly with a rather disgusted look on her face, "Oh good luck with that. You'll never get its nose off the ground." Hmmmmmm
  19. I'd say that I'm on par with you having to get up and do an obedience demo with a dog that's had no training in months but I'd rather demo obedience than DWD any day!! :D :D Can't wait to see your routine MrsD
  20. Can't wait to see how Mack is going Nic! It's been ages since I've seen him! One week to go - yay!
  21. Are you serious? We are lucky to have many experienced trainers on this website who post advice here - for free - and have absolutely no obligation to do so. You have no idea why someone people choose not to post in a thread. They could be busy, they may not have the free time it would take to post, they may be intending to come back later. They may have posted in several dozen topics of this very nature over the years and are sick of repeating themselves. Who knows! There have been stacks of threads on prey drive particularly in the training forum. If you search for them you will find there have been many.
