  1. Then why even post it in the first place Corvus? Apart from shit stirring and being your normal condescending self, of course. My post was responding to All Creatures post above mine when she asked why you want to increase/use drive if you were trying to decrease it so I can't see how it was OT.
  2. You were quoting me, I hardly think it is unreasonable to ask exacty what you were trying to infer.
  3. I don't get your point Corvus? Are you trying to imply that dogs can only have their prey drive satisfied with live animals?
  4. IMHO - your best bet when it comes to controlling your dogs prey drive is to teach it that the best way to get drive satisfaction is through looking to you and obeying your commands. A very prey driven dog who is not given an outlet for It's drive can seek other ways to get drive satisfaction which can present itself in ways we don't like.
  5. Definitely Jane Harper from Dogs on Track. She is very very experienced with aggression and I am positive will not tell the family she can't help them. http://www.dogsontrack.com.au/
  6. If it was this weekend I would have said this weekend not next weekend same as saying it's next week IMO Now I've confused myself LOL I knew what I meant haha
  7. Sorry if I've confused anyone! It is definitely next weekend the 11th-13th
  8. It's amazing what a bond we can have with them, and what a bond our animals can have with each other. He was obviously a very special dog to all of you
  9. Busterlove, I am sure it will be impossible for any dog to outshine Daisy in naughtiness! I took Daisy to obedience tonight and we did a quick demo while I was instructing the first nighters class and OMG ;) next week is going to be interesting! Funny how taking almost three months off can cause a dog to forget all sorts of things they knew before. I'm a bit scared now Steeeeeeeve I hope you can fix my broken dog ;) ETA: We were only saved by the fact that my class were all newbies and didn't realise how crap my dog was
  10. OMG I am so sorry to hear that I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling. So so sorry Henri I hope that you feel a bit better by next weekend so you can tell us a bit about him.
  11. She was brilliant! And thanks, we are definitely enjoying it! That's awesome TSD!! There's even a beagle there too I love Josh Thomas. His stand up is hilarious.
  12. Coming from a strong obedience background I'm glad I got reliable off leash control and reliable stays down pat before we started agility. We also have done a lot of work on building focus and drive. Just less things you need to train when you do start agility.
  13. I have seen him and I think he is awesome ;) PS are you coming to agility tomorrow night?
  14. IMO for most people it's about the foundation work you've done to get good focus and drive. You also have to introduce distractions gradually - the mistake a lot of people make is going from a low distraction environment like their home to somewhere with a super high level of distraction like obedience club or the dog park.
  15. Ugh I am dreading it in that regard!! I am sure Daisy is going to be at 300% evilness, because I basically haven't done anything with her since November apart from a bit of basic agility stuff. At least we'll provide some entertainment. LOL.
  16. Hahaha perhaps!! I'll need seeing as it's been so long since we have done any obedience!! That's another thing to pack guys - WINE
  17. Not long to go now - camp is next week ;) I don't know what I am more excited about, the workshop or having time off work
  18. Oh yeah - thanks for the reminder!!! I ALWAYS forget the bloody mozzie spray!!
  19. Great work everyone!! TSD loved your stack... very smooth getting up afterwards! Nicole loved seeing the vid of Lomani, I think I saw you guys at the Ekka this year - watching you run was actually what finally got me off my butt and into agility classes! Lovely work FD, your dog has great attitude.
  20. I've heard great things about the puppy class at PADS; http://www.pads.org.au/?q=puppy
  21. Hopefully Daisy and I will be there I wonder what dog sports demos they are doing, the pics look like they had agility at the last one, would love to see some obedience and rally-o too.
  22. I remember that too and thought it was hysterical No one laughed as hard as I did when I went to pick him up and they walked him out. And then he was in the back of my car on the drive home, he kept popping his head up so I could see him and his Big Pink Ribbon in my rear view mirror, I was in tears from laughing so hard by the time I got home. And he was SO pleased to pose for pics, there is a reason we call him Derek Zoolander
  23. At this stage the evil Beagle and I will be there
