  2. I know of a few who have had this problem with ones built n the last 3-4 years, not so much with th older ones....not sure why though just what I have heard from people with large berth ones
  3. Agree my worst nightmare too, give out the signs of bloat diagrams to anyone I know who has dogs as it helps when you are stressed to double check. Glad to hear Sumo is home safe
  4. Wow certainly a challenging first litter for you both, great to hear they are doing so well she looks to be a natural mum too :)
  5. Couldn't have put it better myself Steve. Thinking of you SLF
  6. I used the Earthborn Costal Catch, needed a grain free food for one of our dogs, this food is well tolerated by her and used as treats for training for the other because they seem to love it. It's consistent in quality etc
  7. Thanks for the update mini girl. Hope it's onwards and upwards for him from here, you have given him all possible chances :)
  8. Just popped back to see how your little one is doing. Sorry to hear that he's not gaining weight as you'd expect, no advice but think your plan to sup feed and see is a good idea :) Thinking of you and your little pups
  9. One of the pups from my last litter had this, I found putting her on the teats further towards the front helped a lot, seems she was too gutsy and couldn't cope with the "high flow" teats, it worked wonders and she is now a bright, happy 4 month old pup, I did find it very unnerving as it was only my 4th litter, I kept checking her lungs several times a day to be on the safe side.
  10. Thoughts are with you SLF, I hope today is the day it all turns a corner and settles for you and Reba. Hope someone is looking after you too SLF :)
  11. Wonderful news great work Reba and SLF :D
  12. GSDs who are scored though our National scheme can choose between Dr Roger Lavelle in Vic and DrJennifer Richardson in WA. I used Wynurn too but have switched to Lavelle because his turn around time is great.
  13. How scary, wishing you all a happy ending
  14. We bred a bitch with a UH and she whelmed 7 puppies, none with UHs we kept 2 daughters and if they pass all health tests they will also be bred from. All of this done in consultation with a respected repro vet who says still not enough research to not breed from a good quality bitch who has passed all health tests.
  15. Thanks espinay, book marked for a look when I have a few moments

  21. Puppy smell is devine, really enjoying this litter. It's my bad photography, she was the largest at birth, yellow boy has caught her now though. We think she may also be a long coat so her head shape is slightly different too. Thanks for your kind words Alyosha.
