there is a cream you can apply called bio groom ( ) - but I have no idea what it smells like. You can get it from pet shops and it comes with a little brush and comb.

For a healthy diet a dog shouldn't be fed catfood continously - is it very high in protein and lacks the vitamins/minerals that come from vegetables. D gets the leftover cat food for a snack in the morning :rolleyes: Perhaps the reason is the price/donation type thing to the kennels. What kind of dry food are they getting?

1/4 of a tablet shouldn't be too big, what I do for the fat worming tablets D gets is stick it in his mouth to the side of his tongue down his throat. I just push it down a little bit -- sure it is uncomfortable but it gets the job done. I give him a treat before and a treat after but I bet that doesn't make up for it! :rolleyes: Is she the cav in your avatar? get someone to hold her in their arms then quickly go up and do it, try not to make too big a deal about it. I think you can get pill poppers, but there is a novelty/fear that comes with them so I just use my hands.

I agree with others and check his ears... little sniff and look for any brown/black build up -- if the smell is coming from there then a trip to the vet would be the best thing. He is rolling around in anything outside?

I would hold off on the jumping until she is older, but definately get her used to clickers (if you are going to use them) and walking thru your arms. The reason to wait is because you want growth plates to heal and set properly and although the most damage is done when the pup is under 5 months - better to be safe than sorry!

This is going to be my dad's show off trick with D -- so he doesn't mess up my 'trick training'... that and D can't fit thru my arms! It'll be a while before the trick is finished, but I'll definately try to get some photos -- that yogi is amazing!

When I saw that you had posted Salli and when the page was loading my immediate thought was you should get another cat.. I remember when I was facing having to put Nubble down, I wanted to goto the pound that afternoon and get another kitten. However having read the circumstances, probably not the best idea at this time. I am so sorry to hear this and feel for you and your daughter, she seems to be a lot more sensitive then the kids in my neighbourhood who accept unnecessary & accidental death very easily.

I wouldn't bury Deets on my property for fear the others would dig him up *yuk*. He's getting cremated. I think with these prices my creditcard would be able to hold it if it was for an emergency. hmm.. nah I won't go into my vets $$ machine idea just yet.
