  1. Can't you get a new licence plate from the licensing department? Might cost you but I'm sure there are provisions for licence plates to be replaced ifthey are damaged???
  2. Has he toileted properly? I thought 'poo breath' could be a sign of obstruction?
  3. Good luck with your search Don't agree with this though. When I was looking for my Cocker my girls were fairly young - oldest was 8, youngest was 18 months old when she came to us so they were quite a bit younger when I first started the search (took a looooooooooong time to get my girl ). I don't know the answer to why you aren't having much luck - it might just not be 'your time' There will be a pup/dog out there for you that IS the right one
  4. Hi guys - check out this thread.... http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...=191373&hl=
  5. Glad to hear he is on the road to recovery Can I suggest that you report this to https://services.apvma.gov.au/AerpWebApp/ from this thread http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=160494
  6. "do wees (or poos)" is my word for Amber - it seems to work
  7. congrats to all winners Mirawee - I think I saw you we were sitting just in front of a small group of corgi owners You were showing quite a few different breeds? Think I may have even seen boxagirl? Two huskies? Heard lots of stories about the Finnish judge (she was the one with the 'interesting' hair colour?). Seems like it was a bit of an odd show all up - dogs winning that hadn't won before and vice versa. Heard about the poodle too! It was weird being on the other side of the grounds last night away from the other gundogs. I didn't get to see anyone else.
  8. ST - were you there with an OES sort of up the back? I am too shy to go up and speak to anyone usually and it was only cos I know someone with a grown Chessie that I ended up saying hi to valleycbr. I saw Faolmor's OH - he's the one with the dreadies, yes? Don't know anyone else, only from descriptiond on here
  9. ValleyCBR - was nice to meet you and the handsome Lincoln last night You both went really well in the ring and it was very cute when he met the judge He is a lovely boy and took it all in his stride. Amber did well, considering we did NO practise and I had to groom her myself We came second out of two At least we weren't non-awarded!! Does anyone know who got BIG for group 3 last night? Think that is what I'm asking
  10. How do they not know if it is a boy or a girl?????? Hope the owners can be found.
  11. What three things are the bees knees for you as far as dog products go? What couldn't you live (so to speak!) without? Mine would be: Black kong - my ACD has always detroyed and eaten every other toy we have given him - soft, plastic or rubber. the black kong is basically his only toy and has lasted forever! He loves to chase it when we throw it and even throws it around himself. K9 Cruiser water bowl - a bit hard to describe but it basically holds the extra water in the sides and leaves a small amount in the bottom and then 'refills' itself as the dog drinks. My Cocker Spaniel has one for her inside bowl and it's great for her - she obviously has the long ears so the high sides of the bowl keep her ears dry. She loves to get wet too so it means she can't go digging in her water bowl. Pity she dribbles everywhere but the bowl doesn't spill! Crate - I used to be a bit iffy about crates but I got one when Amber was a pup and it is just the best thing She happily goes in there and it keeps her safe and confined if I need her to be. So, tell me your three must haves
  12. I've entered Amber in the Classic I haven't shown her since the Cocker show in November! I think her last show before that was the Cocker show the year before We only come out for special occasions So bad - no wonder I am not very good at it!! She goes ok for a dog that has had very little training. Not sure if there are any other inter bitches around that would be entered - We were the only ones at the Cocker show and there was one inter dog. Sooo, valleywa.... I'll be up after you I'm nervous about it but won't freak out til just before and then cry (not literally!) about how bad I am at it and try and teach her (and myself) all about showing in a couple of days Stoopid!!! Hmm maybe I'll try something different this year????
  13. Bumping to remind people about reporting adverse affects. redangel - sorry I missed your post. What a terrible reaction It might be worth your friend also reporting the issue through the site mentioned - not just to the manufacturer.
  14. I actually don't like this photo When I first saw it I felt it didn't look right?? maybe I knew it was a fake
  15. Rubystar BB - we camped at Christmas and took our Cocker Spaniel with us. We stayed at Flinders Bay Caravan Park in Augusta. Nearly every site had at least one dog
  16. Can I physically hand in my entries at the office? I forgot to check when the entries were due and it's MONDAY!!!
  17. That's cute! Where did you get it from? ETA oohh looky what I found! cute doggy chair/bed
  18. Poor Snot :D and poor you What an ordeal for you both. Hope his recovery goes well and he copes with the cage rest without driving you (and himself) crazy That's the fixomull covering his fentanyl patch for pain relief.
  19. Thanks to all those who have included me in PF's birthday wishes
  20. I think poocow has one for Darcy - maybe pm her and ask?
  21. Amber loves roast chook so might go with that as her special treat. She HATES liver - about the only thing she will turn her nose up at. She gets lots of physical praise and cuddles when she does something 'right' and she loves that as much as anything! Tiggy - what is liver bread and tuna bread?
  22. No suggestions yet - I have been wondering the same thing for my girl. She is very food focused but I want to train a reliable recall with a special treat that isn't the usual. Hope "we" get some good ideas
  23. Thanks guys (sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread PF!) It's also my sister's birthday (she's 4 years younger) so it IS a very good day to have a birthday!
