  1. Does anyone know where I could get these in Brisbane/Gold Coast? Thanks!
  2. I feed both at my house. Started them both out on Proplan but my Wei didn't do too well on it so I switched him to Eagle Pack. My Lagotto on the other hand has always thrived on Proplan so I have kept her on it. I dont have too much trouble getting EP. I usually contact my stockist a week or two before I am due to run out and that gives them plenty of time to order it in if needed.
  3. boiled chicken breast diced up into small cubes
  4. My vet quoted me $186.90 for dogs 30-40kg, including pain relief Sounds quite reasonable to me
  5. Does anyone know where I can buy them locally in Brisbane?
  6. Not sure about other varieties but in the Large/Giant breed puppy, the Super Premium (purple bag) contains corn while the Holistic Select (green) doesnt. I've fed both and prefer the Holistic variety since corn doesnt agree with my pup.
  7. Not sure if anyone has suggested this to you yet but have you tried adding cooked pumpkin to his food? My Wei had soft stools (made worse by antibiotics too) when he was younger too and the added fiber helped him immensly
  8. thanks for the info good luck with dog's tails!

  10. Rubber grooming mitt works really well for us
  11. Yes, I spoke to my vet last Friday. He said that it doesnt look too bad at this stage but that if it keeps occurring we should consider bandaging it. How is your girl's tail?
  12. Thank you for all the replies so far. Is it true that if it does become a persistent problem that amputation would be the best option?
  13. I have an undocked Weimaraner who is a vigorous tail wagger and has for the second time in as many weeks injured the tip of his tail causing it to bleed and splatter blood everywhere. Is there anything I can do to prevent further injuries from occurring?
  14. Your puppy will probably just sleep during the car ride home so just make sure she's comfortable and secure
  15. Jaeger's favorite toys are: Kong Snugga Wubba Nylabone and any stuffed toy with squeaker - especially his yellow duck he loves rope toys too but destroys them too quickly
  16. I've got a diet question but I didn't want to start a new thread so I hope you don't mind if I ask here. My Lagotto girl will be 8 this year and she is currently fed 1 cup of Proplan senior a day (split into 2 meals), plus sardines once a week. I would like to substitute either her breakfast or dinner kibble for some raw meaty bones. How much would be the equivalent of 1/2 cup of kibble? (i.e. one chicken neck? half a chicken frame?) thanks!
  17. I dont have anything to add to the raw bone discussion but in regards to your Weim's digestive issues I think that rather than changing to a different kibble, perhaps you could try eliminating all the different things you are feeding in his diet in order to figure out what is causing his runny poos.
  18. Have you tried adding cooked pumpkin to Quentin's kibble? Before we switched Jag to EP he had problems with soft runny poo. People on Weimaraner forum suggested I add cooked pumpkin and the fibre helped a lot to firm up his stools.
  19. Which EP are you feeding? I've fed both the Super Premium (purple bag) and Holistic Select (green bag) types and prefer the Holistic one. The other one contains corn and gives Jaeger bulky soft poos. I feed Roma (who will be 8 this year) Proplan and am happy with it. She was a little bit overweight when she came to live with us last year but has now lost those extra kgs and is maintaining her weight nicely.
  20. Jaeger will be 1 in July He still has his clumsy puppy moments
  21. my Lagotto girl does this sometimes
  22. it's dishwasher safe I've also seen specially designed Kong cleaning brushes (link: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Bamboo-Kong-Dog-Toy...QQcmdZViewItem)
  23. correct me if I am wrong but I remember learning in university that dogs can survive as vegetarians - it's only cats that can't due to their inability to synthesize taurine
  24. Just wondering, do you guys feed less compared to other premium dry foods?
