  1. Thanks oakway. I've bought turkey wings and drumsticks in Woolworths but haven't seen necks. I guess the necks that belonged to the wings and drumsticks must have gone somewhere!!! I'll see if I can find a pet food butcher. Nope they are not - they go over the other side of cold cabinet to the pet food section with Brisket bones, chicken necks and dog rolls!
  2. I'm so happy to hear you get to see some of your little mates today Jed By the way please lets us know if you need help in anyway - driving, shopping for you, etc ok! Cause I'm positive there plenty of us Qlder's that would happily help in any way we could
  3. DW - long time on see in the retriever thread - pop in and post a piccies Yep Benson is fine - this is actually for a friend who has a thirteen year old Dobe who only this year has started getting very stiff once she has been lying down for a while! But thank you for your concern! How are your kids??? Thank you for explaining the process with Joint Guard too Archie! Thanks to everyone for their help and links
  4. Once slobber or water have dried on a Golden's coat you can brush the dirt out and if your anal a bit of baby powder brushed through and the pale golden's are back to pale gold
  5. Hi :D Where you can buy either Joint Guard or Sasha's Blend for a really cheap price online please? in advance!
  6. Hi Jed hope you're having a positive and healing day today You know I can't even begin to imagine how devastating this has all been for you physically, mentally and emotionally But what wonderful strength and courage you showed speaking of your ordeal and what amazing tributes you write of your dearly departed companions. I think of you daily and hope that you are recovering as quickly as possible, so that you can be reunited with your beautiful pets As well so you can something norty but tasty and have a few ;) too!
  7. I'm going to say Golden cause I love them But I wouldn't stress about the breeder having or not having kids as the pup will come to your home at 8 wks and that's when you can socialise them with everything including kids. Also I am sure you would not be the only family visiting the litter before they go to their homes so I wouldn't stress about that. So as long as both breeders have done the appropriate health testing on their breeding pair and the parents to you seem to have fantastic temperaments - I would go with either breed as the rest is up to in how you socialise them

  15. I would trial another vaccine with all the components in it that she has developed allergies to for a 6-12mth period if it were me. As she could have very rapidly developed those other allergies following the initial test. If you still have no luck perhaps consider low dose pred (cheapest alternative for the duration of her life) or perhaps Atopica. This is however extremely expensive. Also I will send in Zayda_Asher to talk to you further as she is soooo much more knowledgeable!
  16. 1.5 years ago, she has been on the vaccine since then, as well as anti-histamines and cortisone cream/spray for flare ups. sorry my bad I should have said what age?
  17. Jed I know you're a Queenslander (even though you may not like the footy as such) but I thought I would let you know our boys did us proud tonight, as I know you will hon! You keep at it - we are here standing strong behind you and cheering you on!!!
