Thanyou everyone for your replies. No need for further discussionas as the dog has not had any testing done and the owners are not interested in doing any. So not going there.

My oldest dog, 15.3 years young had hers done as a 2 year old so about 1997, it was an earlier type of chip which apparently had a tendency to move. It is down her shoulder heading for her leg.

Years ago a friend of my flatmate bought a cute fluffy black and white puppy, most likely from a pet shop. :p :vomit: Well it grew as they do and created a 18 hole golf course on the back lawn in downtown Brighton. :( Parent not happy. GET RID OF IT NOW. My parents agreed to take it and advertise in the local paper. I picked her up with friend, rode a motor bike at the time so needed car transport, and took her to Camperdown. Advertised in the paper and she was taken by a sheep farmer. Took to to herding like a duck to water. Breed- border collie.

Warls you have changed your name again to confuse people. LOL that really got me thinking. It seems Hypocritical but no I would not let them use my dog at stud. I would not be able to control the way they were whelped/raised or the buyers they went to, or the after service that was given. I feel they lack the knowledge to do so, yet love the breed. I'm not sure if they are open to advice or a mentor so to speak. It could be a good chance to educate them.

This type of thread occurs so frequently. Its outside the the KC standards and not on.

They are registered breeders. They breed 1-3 litters a year. They do not seem to have a grasp on the breed standard. They are a bit redneckish, and a bit farm mentality in terms all stock has to be bred. Lines are what I want, compliment the bitch very well.

Interesting thoughts there lili. A person can be registred with KC do tests and not show or show occasionally. Does that make them a BYB?? I did not show for number of years due to child commitments. Continued to breed to continue my lines. I know that there are some very well conformed pets dogs out there. Does that make me a BYB???? I do not think so.

If she turns 3 months on the day of the show she will have to be entered in the next class I think dracdog got a bit confused. Yes can be entred on the 21/08/2010 in class 1 baby puppy and on the 21/11/2010 will go into class 2 puppy.
