  1. MellG you could try Friar's balm as well it comes in a little bottle at the chemist. Works very well for toughening their pads.
  2. Not suffering from withdrawal are we LP? So when is Mr Leo going to start his UD run?
  3. Keep 'em coming LP! Leo needs his UD no retiring for Leo! Those shots are great LP don't worry about inundating us I don't think it's possible.
  4. Poor Leo, Koori is in the same boat and is equally unimpressed. She's already sucking up to the local dog people at the park and pointing out how thin and hungry she is, and how a little morsel of food would be nice. She's such a dag. Little Panda is going to be one of those memorable little characters I think. Isn't it fun once they start showing their personalities.
  5. Cute little darlings aren't they, but boy can Panda scream. A right little handful she's going to be but clearly she's got a way around that worked out already. What are you feeding them at the moment? How's the lovely Kinta going? And Leo? Thanks for sharing LP.
  6. Yep what Nekhbet said. I've done the same thing for 25 years and none of mine have pulled. Being little myself I just can't have a dog pulling me about. Use your voice you always have it with you and most young dogs love excited happy voices. Don't worry though you can teach a dog to walk nicely on a lead at any age.
  7. I have a similar problem with my girl. She wears her back pads down due to an injury. We've tried a lot of things, salt water baths (warm) help but we found friars balm which comes in a little bottle in any chemist works very well too. It's not expensive and you just clean the pads and paint it on like nail polish. If she's so sore she's lame I'd be putting boots on her or spraying her pads with something like spray on bandage until they've healed a bit first other wise everything will just sting. If you lift up her feet when she's been walking they should look dry (unless it's been raining of course) if they look damp or have little light spots on them it's a sign that her pads have worn back too far. Good luck.
  8. Way to go everyone! Rubystar is there any heat anywhere? Inflamation from a bite or a knock can make them stiff and sore without actually being lame. Have you looked up around her girlie bits? If she was sitting and got bitten by a bull ant around there, well I wouldn't be sitting either! The chiro's probably the right thing to do. Vet if no luck there, but don't worry. Ruby will be fine.
  9. at Polly Pocket and Piglet! So has daddy any preferance yet or is he being good? My OH would try to hide them all so we could keep them if it was him. Though 6 fully grown Aussies would be a bit hard to hide. How are Leo and Kinta?
  10. Lp they look fab! I love the baking tray of babies. I'm always telling Koori she's so cute I could eat her but those babies are sooo adorably cute that I think Koo is safe now. at your dream though, I have wierd dreams like that. Glad I'm not the only one. Is Panda the only one with a name? Look out with that. Eby was the only one with a name in her litter too and she stayed it's fatal I tell you! She is adorably cute though, I love the little tris all in a row how sweet.
  11. No worries but of course you have to tell us who you're taking trialling now. :p
  12. Try here Rules. Should have the latest rules for everything listed there.
  13. Lovely photos, I love the middle one, he's got such a cute face. LP your photos are great especially next to mine. There's a reason the OH takes most of ours! How are mum and bubs in the humidity we've had today? It was quite sticky up at KCC.
  14. Keep 'em coming LP. Kinta looks fabulous, her coat looks glorious. Koori's dropping all hers like snowfall. How about a few of Leo too? Are both the merles NBTs? Such lovely puppies I can't wait to see what they look like in a few weeks.
  15. It'll come back LP some of the coated breeds, bitches especially take a while to grow a full coat. My old collie girl didn't get a proper full coat in until she was three. She looked awfully out of coat until then. Of course hormones do wonder for them sometimes! Has she got any noivce passes yet I can't remember, I know she managed to get a few agility titles. 15pts aren't too many you'll get them then she'll have letters at both ends of her name! I take it you're going to trial one of those puppies when the time comes?
  16. Oh just look at Kinta, she looks so happy and content. Thanks LP lovely photos. What a beautiful, special girl Kinta is.
  17. We need photos of Kinta with her pups LP! It'll take my mind of tomorrow's impending doom So glad things are going well now. Poor Leo poor lad must wonder why these small squirmy things are getting all his attention.
  18. Yay! What lovely little babies. Poor Kinta hasn't half given you some heart attacks though has she. I think those baby puppies are the best reason in the world for not trialling and you know it don't you? :D How are you doing LP? How are Kinta and Leo coping?
  19. Fantastic Capanash! Poor Freya doesn't have much luck with the weather does she? Southern was awful too. Great job getting a pass in the weather we had today.
  20. Well done everyone, a fantastic effort all round. LP you have the best reason in the world for missing out on trialling. Won't be too long now.
  21. Ah! Thanks that explains it. When I first started trialling again the VCA said you had to use the obedience forms for agility too. I stand corrected thanks for explaining.
  22. Dumb question I expect but how do you go about getting a height card?
  23. Is every state different then? None of my entry forms look like that. I have books of entry slips from the VCA. Heidii good luck! Koori's first obedience trial was the last national. It's great to see all the collies, I'd love to go but it's just not possible. Do your best and have a fantastic time! And mind you tell us how it goes.
  24. Entry forms for obedience and agility are different from the show ones. You need to by a book of them from the state body (if it's a one off I could post you one). I don't think there's an on line form like there are for the showing ones. You'll need to separate entry slips since they're different. PM me if you want one.
  25. Well done everyone! Great work. How's that second pass (in a row no less!) feel Rubystar? Ness is that Bradly grove oval by any chance? Corner of Quick Rd and Bradly Grove? It looks like it, I use to go to school around the corner, many moons ago. Miss Kenzie is going beautifully! We have a wee brag too. Miss Koori did her final CCD trial today and in spite of the nitwit on the end of the lead(yes that would be me) having a major mental flake out. She managed an 85 pass and third.
