  1. Fabulous work everyone. ET and CDX so close together is great stuff. TSD brilliant work with Ziggy, you'll be off to pinch all the 1st's in novice now right? Seriously though well done three for three is just fantastic.
  2. Xena that is just the most fabulous performance especially in such a young dog and speaks volumes about how much work and skill has gone in to her. Congrats. Lp sounds like things are going well. Can't wait to see your two back out there again. I'm starting to think about having another crack at noivce myself, not expecting much though.
  3. Oh LP I can't understand why, she's such a beautiful puppy. I'm even tempted and I'm a confirmed collie addict. I hope you find someone for her soon other wise you'll need a four dog permit!
  4. Any luck finding a home for Miss Piglet LP? And what lovely photos! Mia is just too cute.
  5. I don't think the worm problem is an issue in farmed pork these days. This is what I've been told. Mine get raw pork bones, spine ribs trotters and there has never been a problem and my current one can't cope with too much fat. The pork bones I get have very little fat on them, just small areas of fairly lean meat.
  6. Well done and congrats everyone! There's some really fantastic achievements there. When's your boy going to do his next trial TSD? He's going fantastically and you should be really proud of all your hard work and training. Springdog that's great, Riley is the most lovely boy.
  7. Poor LP surrounded by puppy addicts! but still I'd like to see some more photos too please. Is the July show a KCC one? I may come and have a looksee if you don't mind of course.
  8. It's not just meeka that was the first name I thought of too. Then I thought no LP will just rofl at the very idea and kept it too myself. So is it Prime Attraction for Miss Zara? When's her first show, I want to come and cuddle her. I mean Laffi is getting waaaayyyyyy to much puppy action and the rest of us are dying.
  9. Kavik have you taken him to a chiro? or tried acupuncture or something like that. Koori is quite like your boy and she's totally disinterested when her back is tight and sore she too will actively avoid me if I going into training mode and she's not feeling the best. It might just be him of course, but I think you said once before he wasn't naturally the least bit food motivated. Did you try toys or verbal physical praise in the end? It's hard and frustrating sometimes isn't it?
  10. Hmm I'm hopeless at names, all I can think of is Primed to burn. How many letters do you have?
  11. I want to know how the registered names are going. Are you ready to indulge us with those yet or are you enjoying teasing us too much? I think you've done a great job with your first litter LP. I hope Lacey I mean Zara brings you much joy and success, she is gorgeous.
  12. Yay! I thought it would be Miss Lacey, I hope I run into you up at KCC with her one day LP. Would love to see her in the flesh, but your poor dad she's not the tiniest bit like a blue boy is she. :p How lovely that one of the little sweeties is going to a DOLer congrats B9 you must be so excited.
  13. Hmm I do like Piglet and Lacey but fancy poor little piglet being called Piglet forever! I love Polly too, I do love blues but I think the two little tri's look better in those stacked pics. You can show tailed Aussies can't you? I'm sure I've seen one being shown..... So LP how are the registered names coming?
  14. Yay! Photos what lovely babies they are. I'm with Aziah, is it Lacey? You'd be able to play pick the Kinta then. They are lovely, lovely babies and oh so fluffy! Lucky girl.
  15. Not soon enough for us puppy addicts! Come on LP!
  16. Misty is gorgous no doubt about it and that photo is lovely, but you know I rather like Polly and Piglet best. Does Kinta want to go back to training yet LP?
  17. Heidii what works with a German Shepherd won't work on a Collie. The sort of correction the average Sheppie will laugh at will make a Collie very upset. Collies are sensitive, that is in fact what is so challenging about them they get bored easily and aren't adverse to staying make me, but heavy corrections will erode their confidence. If you watch his body language, get someone to film you doing a run. You will see the moment where he loses concentration, concentrate enough and you will become attuned to it. When that moment comes get his attention, call him do something to get his mind off the floor and back on you. Even if it does mean running around like a goof ball initially. He's young and entire right? Don't be in too much of a hurry make haste slowly. You've got all the time in the world.
  18. Jencol might be able to make you something thicker. Her leads are really lovely. You might know her LP she shows smooth collies. Or there's these. http://www.maka.com.au/products.php?cat=28 It might be worth talking to Capanash, I noticed at Southern that she had a really nice leather lead. I'm sure she'd let you have a feel of it, and thats the only way to know if it'll suit to be honest.
  19. Lp Jencol makes plaited leather ones but they're show leads I don't know that they'd be strong enough for obedience. There's a saddlery in Ringwood called Saddleworld now but they have a saddler who makes things to order, he is very very good. I have the most lovely filly slip he made it's beautiful soft where it needs to be and very well made. I have no idea what it would cost you though. Do you want plaited as in plaited into a round like a stock whip? Or what are sold as plaited leads the flat leather ones with the loop plait at the clip and handle?
  20. Congrats Rubystar that's fantastic! It's tempting to pick the scores apart and think well we could have done better, but don't just enjoy it. You'll never have a first title with your first dog ever again so go wallow in it. Congrats for Ness too! This is the dog you were going to retire last year right? You must be feeling so much better now. Well done.
  21. But of course LP, the earlier the better, I mean we all know how long it takes to campaign three dogs to champion titles..... Your dad's a brave man LP. I mean with an addict like you around who's to say when he'll see the inside of a ring. Has dad gotten over the lack of a merle boy yet? I so love the little pink noses. Can you tell what colour the little merle girls eyes are yet?
  22. What were you saying about only showing the puppy you keep? God they're so cute. I love the shots of them in the tunnel! Koori's sitting on my foot listening the puppies very intently.
  23. LP don't you think they're a bit young to be learning the box? Great photos! I love the videos too. Kinta's doing a good job isn't she. I love piglet so cute.
  24. Yep in scent discrimination they have to pick up leather, wood and metal articles. There's also directed retrieving where they use cotton gloves. In UDX they have to pick up rolled banded face washers. If you think that's alot of different things then you should see the wierd stuff they make them retrieve in the UK! I have a wooden dumbbell from Morrison and it is soft but for me that was a selling point, it's been made for her so it's the right size. The plastic one was far too hard for her and the bells were so big that they obscured her vision. Not what you want. It's horses for courses though, some dogs do better with plastic and some with wood and some need a hard wood dumbbell.
  25. Oh so glad about the permit LP. Piglet is gorgeous! And we all have to have our less attractive sides you know. Can't wait to see more photos.
