  1. I got mine made by Zandona Trailers.....still in Victoria but I like them better than the PB ones I see. Mine are 100% made for my specific car, they were also heaps cheaper and only took a month from start to finish. Mine are also black as they are made in the guys workshop from scratch they can be powdercoated in any colour. If you have a new Xtrail, a 2 door isn't really suitable due to back ends "pear" shape. I wanted a two door originally with the option for a divider if I need one, but after measuring them up the guys showed me how much room I would have and it wasn't much....and my dogs are pretty slim! I stuck with a single door and couldn't be happier :) Definately recommend Zandona, if I remember I will take a photo and post it :)
  2. Cool, I've been playing around with it a bit with her, not perfect just yet as her butt swings out a little by the third step back but we are getting there! :D
  3. LOL yeah I know and Darcy will be there soon as well! Need to check out the rules again and make sure we can do everything! :D
  4. Little Jovi got her Rally Novice title today in fine style with a 97 and a 1st place in the morning :D In our afternoon run she was off her nut and everything was done at speed!! No idea what happened too her  She enjoyed herself and ended up on 91 even though she didn't need another pass. Her dad also had his first go and he was beautiful, he has stunning heeling but I get nervous and he shuts down but he was focussed for most of the run and had his tail wagging the entire time. Due to a silly error by myself I lost him 10 points as I put him straight into a drop and forgot about the sit Ended up on 88. The afternoon run.....well like Jovi he was just so excited! He was bouncing along and shaking he was so excited LOL Loved it and we had so much fun, he ended up on 87 as I had to retry a couple and he isn't as "polished" as Jovi with certain things especially when he was throwing himself into it but damn if I could bottle that excitement!
  5. Just had my guys results back; The two boys were 1:80 for parvo and 1:20 distemper, last vaccination was 2006/2007 Jovi has the lowest with 1:20 for parvo and only 1:5 distemper, last vaccination was 2011. Interesting as Jovi is my main trialling dog and the boys don't go to as many places as her but going by the results, it looks like only they have come into contact with it recently or Jovi has an easier time fighting it off? I dunno either way, vet doesn't want to even think about vaccinating the boys but Jovi I will get retested in 6 months or so and see if the levels have improved/stayed the same/gone down.
  6. I would add Yeoville to that list as well :)
  7. LOL Yes, I am so happy it did! I can't believe I didn't think of it before, seems so simple now. Unfortunately next trial isn't for a few weeks, I stupidly forgot to enter the one next weekend but will give me a chance to take her to training (as I intentionally didn't go to that either for a couple weeks leading up too it) a bit and then take a break again so hopefully she is raring to go again....and this time hopefully getting someone to film her runs as I wished I had someone yesterday!
  8. Dunno what happened to the old Jovi, but loving this new one in agility! Hello speed and drive! Little nutcase was flying today at the trial, we were one fault wonders mainly a dropped bar in each run which has only happened twice I think but the reason behind it (extra speed whoo hoo!) means I can forgive it this time ;) My handling was in shambles in the first run as I wasn't expecting the speed so we were all over the shop LOL Was trialling out a new 'concept', she was only entered in 3 runs in the afternoon and all morning and most of the afternoon saw me run Darcy and ignore her. Jovi has little too no patience, hates being ignored and always wants to do what I am doing with another dog so I was hoping it would work in my favour and I am thrilled to say it has!! Even walking toward the ring she was getting hyper and carrying on telling everyone she was about to run, and actually tugging before running. Darcy was again was all over the shop, so much potential but I realise if I want to keep competing I really need to get him too training as it definately shows that we haven't gone in months!! Though he had so much fun and you never would guess he turns 9 this year :D Checked our times for 2 of the runs and she was doing 37/38 secs in a 58sct course (I can only remember one course time but the other would be similar), our last pass was 45s in a 50sct course.....so you can see how much quicker she was going and for a little 400 dog I am so impressed :D That was with my crappy handling too, stuffed up a few rear crosses where she ended up spinning but the rest was perfect I can see why people enjoy running faster dogs, it was so enjoyable being able to handle more fluidly! Today's trial even though we didn't get any passes has been one of if not my favourite time running her since we started :) I will be trying to do a similar thing next trial, this one worked so well as I was in only two rings which happened to be side by side and the three runs in each course were one right after the other so advantaged me alot!
  9. I won't be Too far away and other factors......will be waiting for 2016 which I believe is in SA :)
  10. I think you need to make sure you can live with a border collie first, it's all well and good wanting one to do agility with but that is such a tiny part of the dogs life. I personally would get a dog suited for my lifestyle that can do sports than a dog that can sports but might not fit. I regulary see the Kayladene and Adensley BC's compete in agility (as well as flyball for the latter) and while the Kayladene crew is extremely hard too beat when they run clear it comes down too intensive training, excellent foundation and having access too your own complete set of equipment doesn't hurt either! :D Nothing wrong with have a slow and steady dog that makes you work harder too get the best out of them, makes you a better trainer! :) ETA: Just watched the video, what a happy little dog. I agree with the others you need to start running a bit more, with a slower less motivated dog you can't just stand rather still like those with nutcase driven BCs :p I would have rewarded more as well as it seemed a bit repetitive and your dog was probably getting board. I have Tollers and while they are as smart and can be as driven/fast as BC's they won't work forever doing the same thing, so short quick rewarding sessions are best :)
  11. I watched her runs TSD (in between running back and forth between rally and agility LOL) and she looked like she was having fun! :D Bugger about her being in season, bloody entire bitches who'd own them :p ----------- Awesome work with Rory and Kirra, Tassie! They always sound like they are having heaps of fun :) ----------- I was pretty happy with my guys, Darcy was awesome, he needs training so badly (haven't done anything for months) but the last few trials have all been about him being happy in the ring and we are at that now. He is such a different dog then he was a year ago, it was interesting running him because he is so much bigger and faster than Jovi he had already driven ahead and gone over the wrong jump instead of turning with me before I was ready. Jovi is so in tune with me a slight turn of shoulder is all I need to turn her......Darcy is going too need alot more direction and warning  He, some how ended up with a 3rd place NQ in novice jumping, not bad for nearly 9 year old boy :p Jovi was happy as larry as well and getting quicker. We have a 'proper' trial next weekend where I've entered her in only 3 runs, all excellent agility in the afternoon. I've then gone and entered Darcy in a fair few all day, my plan is too make her jealous :p She will see me get Darcy out of his crate and run him several times, and hopefully by the time it's her go she will be feral :D I was thinking that I've made it worse by focusing so much on her all day at a trial trying to get her right that I made it worse, by having another dog too run and concentrate on as well that I won't be worried about her so much. If there is no one thing she is not, is patient and will let everyone know by screaming that it's HER turn now! I am looking forward too it, here's hoping I will get my feral Jovi back :)
  12. It's going to be interesting, Jovi is so in tune with what I am doing that if I slow a little or turn she will check what I am doing, I tried doing my usual change of directions and he kept going straight LOL One thing he does have though is distance and drive so should be fun! Was great, I was so nervous going in and almost started off in the usual obedience attitude with no talking but when she got a bit distracted at the start I started talking and then we worked together so well once I calmed :D With her and obedience, it is very much a case of awesome dog, shame about the handler! LOL --------------- Congrats CC! Sounds like a great few weeks :D
  13. *I do not need a Whippet, I do not need a Whippet!* Pity it's this year, hopefully you will repeat it! :p If it produces what I think it will, it may be a one of  It's going to be a combination of a bitch that you just can't insult and a dog who thinks he's pretty special too. They are both pretty high energy and drive and it's going to be interesting. Puppy buyers should be prepared to invest in a lot of cardboard boxes, dolls, toys and never thaw food on or in the sink  Sounds like it's going to be an amazing litter! Hope most/all go to performance homes! Both of my girls this year, but she will probably be first in season. She's not the nutter. It's the one below that loves dolly's and being mental She is beautiful.....I want a Whippet We have a couple of Whippets down here that do agility, and one in particular I could just steal. He is so beautiful and exactly what I want, his owner knows I will have him if ever he gets too annoying LOL
  14. Had our very first go in Rally-O today and not only did Jovi and I manage two passes, one was 99 out of 100 and a first place!! Second one was 85 as I didn't take into account how quick she would return to heel before I was ready (can't wait to get rid of this lead!) so she already sat at heel, I didn't realise she sat all I glimpsed was her on my left so continued LOL Few other points due to me bumping her on turns. She apparantly looked beautiful out there with her heeling, all focused and happy......think we are going to have fun with this sport :D Judge loved her work and said she did beautiful work :D Bombed in the agility, but both Darcy (who got a 3rd place NQ) and Jovi were happy and that's all that matters. Though now I have speed from Darcy I need to actually train him a bit more to control him, he has no steering! :p
  15. *I do not need a Whippet, I do not need a Whippet!* Pity it's this year, hopefully you will repeat it! :p
  16. Thanks guys, they both have done me so extremely proud this weekend! I've been thoroughly spoilt with my three Tollers in flyball, I've enjoyed so many highs with all three and learnt so much with each dog on how to be a better trainer. Now for a massive break with Jovi (hopefully due to pups at the end of the year) and have a think about not retiring Darcy from flyball haha -------- Congrats AL, sounds like an awesome weekend! Amazing work :D
  17. I do running contacts with my girl and too date she has never missed a contact either at training or comps even from a distance, it's the one thing I can count on :) My boy I also do running but he is more the point and pray, can't do from big distance either. I don't take him back as there is no real criteria for him (bad I know ) and I've spent so long trying to make him happy in the ring again, he would shut down in a flash if he thought he did something wrong.
  18. Just finished a two day flyball comp, both dogs ran extremely well and both their teams won their division. Darcy's team only lost one race over 2 days and the old boy was full of himself, consistently running around 5.3 in any position and flawless, not bad for a dog that is nearly 9! He was so happy and eager......making me rethink my plan to retire him as he was having so much fun! Jovi's team also did well, lost 3 races but still managed to win doing 11inches (her height) and 14inches. She didn't put one little paw wrong all weekend :D On top of that they both had the chance to compete in the champions trophy where all division winners race each other (fastest teams are handicapped), unfortunately Darcys team broke out and were eliminated.....bloody dogs (:p) running their fastest time of the comp at the end of the second day, wasn't even our fastest combination! Jovi's team however saved the day and won it! Little Jovi had to chase the other dog down to win and that was right up her alley, she refuses to be beaten back when she is the last dog! The other dog was already going down before she could go as we were the slightly faster team so the other team had a head start and there was no way she was letting that dog beat her back, I love her turns when she knows she has to do them fast, she is literally on and off the box and powering back in a blink of an eye :D
  19. Will give this a go, she gets well rewarded for spins/barking on command but might try upping it and making them awesome! Will work on her tugging as well. Thanks for the replies, I think I may just pick and choose a few judges I think may be open too it, and go from there. I will definately advise the judge of my plans. In the mean time I will keep working on the above and look into doing a NADAC trial and see if that is really the difference.
  20. I was going to ask in another thread but think I would get more responses here. Would a judge allow you to take a toy/reward in the ring, do a short quick section (well under SCT) and leave the ring? I am thinking it might be OK at novice level but what about excellent/masters? I am thinking I am also putting too much pressure on her, we had done so well previously I think we should be doing better and it's travelling to her and she is so perceptive/focussed on me, any tiny change she notices. She is still happy but so slow, but I must change when we go in the ring.....outside she is drivey, focussed and excited as soon as we walk into it's not as exciting? At training she is so quick and full on, it's like running two different dogs. She knows where her reward is and drives home, and pulls me to her reward, it's the start and middle (especially for a 24 obstacle course) that we are a bit off :/ I am going to give NADAC a go and see if that brings her drive up a bit as she knows I will have her reward on me. Any ideas? I know we can do so much better but I am unsure of how to undo the damage I've done On a positive note :) We got our first excellent agility pass and our last pass for our novice gamblers title :D I was thrilled with the gamble as it was pretty hard for novice! Got lost on the masters course (oops) and pulled away too early from a jump and she came with me in the other :)
  21. Just a little brag, got our first excellent agility pass and our final pass for our novice gamblers title today :D
  22. Try running 7 :p Before we cut back, our entries for 2012 were well over $1000  Ohh ouch, I will never complain about running 2 dogs again!! I wanted to go to this Nationals, but heard the grounds aren't exactly great either? Plus driving up there would take days, places to stay are as rare as hens teeth, would need to take 4 dogs but only running 1.......as much as I want too starting to think I will wait till the 2016 one in Adelaide :)
  23. I would enter and then decide on the day, you will already be there anyway :) Just read through the rules for the signs and if she can do most of those you are good to go :) I will be there with my lot, my first go at Rally too! I prefer flips. I've taught both as sometimes they anticipate and I change up which way I want them to go to try and minimize it but not lose the drive :)
  24. Wow so crazy! How many mm are your tollers? We're actually in the midst of a height review at the moment, it does look like our maxi height will be dropped, so midi will go down a little too... But not as low as some overseas countries. I think micro and mini will stay the same. Our see saws are quite a bit bigger than yours too... Sorry I correct myself, some of the jumps the bottom bar is lower in the video. In the second picture you posted, that bottom bar is roughly the same height our 400s would jump. My 400 is roughly 43cm at shoulder, my boy who is 500 is 50cm.
  25. Looking at those jumps, if you take the top one off it's roughly the bottom one she'd be jumping! I was watching the video thinking geez she looks the same height as my girl but jumping so much heigher looks like our 600's! Curious why haven't NZ lowered the jump heights?
