Hi I use a Gentle Leader on Nova for control. I know some people have said it doesnt do anything in regards to training and i think it is true however i do need something other then a normal collar to control Nova at times. I sometimes train him in it and it does help him relax and listens more, at home he doesnt need it he heels lovely but when other dogs around i need a bit more control and this does it. He is getting better at leaving other dogs alone so when he does well enough i wont need it anymore. Nova does know what heel means but sometimes if a dog next to us stuffs up a bit i need something to get his attention back. I dont use it as a training device but when you have a 2 year very active dog you do need something extra until he grows up a bit (mentally) I prefer to use the GL then a correction collar. About the people who think they are muzzles ;) I constantly try and explain to people it gives a bit more control. Thanks Natasha & Nova

Novas on Purina (again) and he looks great his coat is shinier and softer even after his tonnes of moulting fur. We havent changed of this as it was recommended by his breeder we have added little bits. I dont find the cost that bad considering he doesnt eat much of it as well as his BARF diet so its very cheap actually.

Novas 11.2 yrs in dogage ohh when is he going to grow up!!! He is 4.8 yrs younger then the breed average. Mind you his breed wasnt on there so i had to use the closest dog the Border Collie he could and more likely younger then 11 and a bit then thanks natasha & nova

We have one of those people near us A lovely old lady who owns a GSD and SWF who go a few paces ahead stop look back and keep going she doesnt say a word to them i am very jealous and i am now training Nova something of what K9 suggested getting very good too

Hello Everyone, I taught Nova this last night, he got it after a few tries I started with free shaping, didnt work, then in very very little steps then decided he had no idea what was being asked so i would put him in a stand then put my arm (not touching) under his belly then asked for a bow and lowered my hand he kept his bum up cause my hand was there. after a few repititions he knew exactly what to do so i can say bow and he will do it i am half way with him bowing when i do!!!! Cant wait for the next trick i have taught Nova most of the other ones but some he cant seem to grasp? thanks natasha

Hey Im trying to teach this to Nova we are half way there he will jump when im not that far of the ground I taught him like you did jumping through arms off grooming table but then went and taught him this one less stress on joints thanks natasha

Hi Ive trained Nova this already he loves it though When i ask him to speak he will throw himself down and do it then or sometimes he will jump up but i put him in the drop and only C/T when he has dropped and barked that all sounds confusing thanks natasha

Hi thanks for the help I would love to teach nova to stop half way through then roll back the other way hehe It did clear things up i will go and try it tomorrow hes asleep now ;) finally! Will let you know how i went thanks again natasha

Hi I am trying to teach Nova to roll at the moment and high 5 he got that one but he is having trouble with the roll he will roll over if i direct my hand over his back but i have no idea when to click to get best results when he gets up after or during? Cant wait to see more tricks i am having alot of fun teaching him and seeing as it is school holidays i have heaps of time too ;) thanks natasha

Sounds great I want to teach Nova all of these but couldnt find how currently teaching him weaving through legs, walking backwards and colour distinction between balls he knows blue and green now!!!! :D thanks natasha
