  1. Great shots guys! Those little bubby Borders are gorgeous! Spence is all set for winter with his giant Queen size blanket: 22/52
  2. Poor old Spence was diagnosed with having advanced arthritis in his hips this week. He's on pain meds and many jokes about old fuddy duddies and walking frames have been made. Thought I'd try an 'old folks' theme for my photo 21/52 Unfortunately we don't have a rocking chair on the front porch
  3. Aww that's so cute! Spence is similar. He'll swoop in and 'rescue' his toys if I get too close to them with the vacuum. And sometimes he'll return after relocating them to a safe distance and charge the vacuum and growl just for good measure
  4. Not to mention, how did a wee 4 month old pup reach the top of a full grown woman's head?
  5. I thought that too. His muzzle/jaw looks wrong.
  6. It's not just limited to photos, but Spencer's bad habit is horrible posture. I get so jealous of everyones photos of their regal looking dogs, when Spence just looks like a slouchy slob. Holding his ears way back and squinting eyes is another one.
  7. The photo I had planned didn't work out, so this is my boring last minute shot 20/52
  8. Welcome back CM! Gorgeous photos as usual :D
  9. lol so do I! It'll be a struggle to feed it to the dog instead of eating it myself
  10. Thanks PF. I've had two different vets advise Weetbix. I tried it for a couple of weeks and then stopped cos I wasn't really keen on feeding wheat/grain to a dog who's prone to the itchies. I assume the pumpkin would need to be cooked (steamed?)..? ETA I just remembered carrots are also high in fibre. I usually feed them raw, but I think I remember reading that they should be cooked/blended into a pulp to be most effective. Is that right? Sorry for highjacking your thread maltese11!
  11. Is feeding Weetbix an ok way to increase fibre in the diet? Say one Weetbix every couple of days for a 20kg dog?
  12. If I had the money, I'd go for the 24-70 2.8! I'm like you, love my 50mm and use it heaps. I bought a Nikkor 24mm 2.8 about a month ago cos I wanted something a bit wider. I like it, but find it's not quite as sharp as the 50 though.
  13. Argh, photos hosted by photobucket are showing up really big since the forum upgrade! Is anyone else using PB? How do you make them smaller??
  14. wags - I had to force myself to pick up the camera this week too. Just wasn't feeling it. Riley looks snug as a bug. Smart move in this freezing weather! evolving - love the texture of Bob's coat ------------ 19/52
  15. Oh cool! I didn't realise that was one of your photos. Yay for us
  16. She's adorable! I want to scoop her up and squish her!
  17. 18/52 He almost blends into the Autumn leaves!
  18. tlc - Bron is such a cutie patootie in his jammies! Blue is his colour SammieS - yes, very intimidating guard dog there wags - how cute is Riley showing off his ball!
  19. Yep, first one for me too wags. Riley's body position just looks nicer tlc - which one's Bronson? 17/52
  20. You're not weird at all! I'm freaking out about missing next week's photo when I'm overseas 14/52
  21. I'd try to match the tag to the hardware on the collar. I've been meaning to replace Spencer's silver tag with a brass one to match his collar for ages!
  22. Sammie - Asti is gorgeous and stands out very nicely from the green grass. RV - Toby looks positively thrilled in the first pic lol. Great intensity in week 12 LuvLottie - I like the second one best. annie - Interesting effect!
  23. THanks wags. I used an old bed sheet for the background. In the original photo the background is off-white though and I was too lazy to iron the sheet beforehand, so I had to edit the wrinkles etc out in Lightroom. Just upped the exposure and brightness a bit to get the white, and because the wrinkle shadows were blue-ish, just upped the luminence of the blue channel.
