  1. Yogi - Through your arms trick, I think this would be difficult is you were five foot and owned a Newfoundland.
  2. Yogi is quite a light weight dog, I think if I did this with my flatcoat I would probably end up with a broken nose.
  3. Yogi doing this trick, I am putting this up for Stella, as I have a better camera than her. Ha Ha
  4. Another Picture of Yogi starting to jump over the arms. Please note that this is not me in the picture. To see what I look like go to the photos section under flatcoat retreiver tricks.
  5. Here is a picture of Yogi the whippet doing through your arms, and jump over your arms. He learnt this trick very quickly.
  6. Go to this site and read the training plan. http://www.k9station.com/turns2.htm This was how I taught Moses to do the turn. Once his turn is done he gets to retrieve his toy. I did the test they suggested at this site and he was ambidexterous!!! Had no preference. So I just worked on having him turn right. My other dog is also a right turner. I am left handed. So when I taught my dog to shake hands I would always shake Moses right hand with my left hand, so I don;t know if this had anything to do with it. I just followed the plan.
  7. Here is Josh doing a spin, he is doing it for the tennis ball I am about to throw, it was easy to add the distance for him.
  8. I am giving him a bit of a hand by leaning to the side, he is such a big dufus.
  9. This next series is of Josh walking backwards through my legs.
  10. He has got his prize now, ready to come down to the ground.
  11. He has his mouth open and ready to catch that ball, just like a crocodile.
  12. Here is Josh getting ready to play catch.
  13. I agree with you don't give her another pup. She is very careless!!! I would think that she doesn't care. How stupid can you be!!! We always hear, don't leave a dog in a hot car on hot days as they can heat up very quickly. Dogs feel the heat much more than us!!! What a stupid woman!!! If she is this careless with type of thing what is she like the rest of the time. Does she forget to feed her dogs? Does she let her dogs run up and annoy small children?
  14. Great trick I will teach Moses this when he gets a little bit older.
  15. Thats great to hear, you are progressing. There is no need to rush the dogs, as you are not going to a "close the door" trial at the end of the week. ) But seriously you seem to going really well. I would suggest trying a light weight door. I started off with a plastic laundry cabinet door. Do you have any lighter doors than the wooden one? Also try a smaller door, like a cabinet door. Once the dogs are good on a light weight door then move to a heavier door. But you are definately on the right track. Keep the updates coming.
  16. On the home stretch, he looks like such a dufus here.
