  1. Inspector Rex, thank you for that info. Mine have it as breakfast and I am glad they are high in protein as Godzy cannot eat most meats and lives on a mainly vegetable diet so any protein he can eat is good news. His delicate stomach was not upset either so I am lucky in that area.
  2. Actually he gets the large size ones, Gidget the Tibetan Spaniel and Lillie, the your guess is as good as mine have the petities. The large size gives him a challenge. He is so allergy prone they will not give him the yearly heartworm shot this seems ok.
  3. Good idea my sister spent $15 on chicken flavoured toothpaste and cannot get to open the dogs mouth. My vet has trouble looking in Godzy's mouth and Little Lillie all 2kgs of her I cannot keep her still enought to clean her teeth. Katek, At the vets I go to you can buy 1 greenie to try if you cannot pm or email me and I will post you a petite one
  4. It is strange Godzy is allergic to wheat yet this product does not affect him. The poohs are hard to find in the grass though. Gave him a bone yesterday that I thought he could not crush no way I had to remove it as he was crushing it and he is a Maltese/Shit/Westie cross. It was like a giant shank with the hip socket on both sides the collies next door cannot crush them.
  5. Katek, I have them at home as my dogs cannot eat bones and this was the suggestion. I do not know what is in them but all of them no matter how fussy love them. I will try to remember to bring the ingredients list in tomorrow.
  6. So do I tins of Tuna and Sardines in oil every weekend without fail. They do look at me strangely come to think of it.
  7. I queried with my vet yesterday if Kangaroo meat would be ok for my dog. She mentioned to give him Vitamin B as well. I asked the reason. Was told the the preservative in the Pet's meat destroys this, therefore they need to have it included in their diet. It is the same for all the pets minces. This is the first time I heard about this.

  14. 'Bugger' campaign star dies 27.05.2004 Hercules, the canine centrepiece of the "bugger" commercial that left viewers laughing or fuming, died of a heart attack yesterday. The Tuakau-based dog boasted a CV that would be the envy of any New Zealand actor, with roles in productions such as Lord of the Rings, What Becomes of the Broken Hearted, The Chosen and more than 80 television commercials. The popular Saatchi & Saatchi "bugger" advertisement for Toyota sparked about 120 complaints about the flippant use of a swear word when it first screened in 1999. It was taken off the air temporarily but the complaints were not upheld and the ad eventually returned. Only one complaint was lodged in Australia over the language contained in the advertisement. Hercules died while filming a series of training videos aimed at helping children avoid being bitten by dogs. His owner Mark Vette paid tribute to the dog's intelligence, saying Hercules understood more than 130 commands and had a knack for picking up new tricks very quickly. The dog's only speaking role seems to have been mimicked by Beagle 2, the failed European Mars Lander. When asked if the lander had any last words before disappearing, project leader Collin Pillinger replied, "Oh bugger".
  15. My vet is very good. Last year when two strays were beyond help we both stayed with them stroking them and telling them they were loved. He did not want to charge but I insisted that at least I pay for the requisits so he charged me what it cost him. Then a cup of tea and a cry with the vet nurse. I am having mine cremated if I am still renting so that they can come with me if I am living in Toowoomba I think I will still do the same even then, all will be placed in a in a communual urn and then when I go I can join them, then into the ocean from whence we came. The circle of life so to speak. Yes it is illegal but who cares?
  16. :p Every morning I count my blessings that Gidget still seems to young and lively.
  17. Yes Troy this was a wonderful idea. Thank you
