  5. OH is the cable tie king, he loves them. thats actually quite a good idea.
  6. thank you! Yes size may be an issue, but when we go camoing we have a trailor too, so hopefully we can get something sorted out.
  7. tbh the dog runs on that web site look better. bigger. higher. lol. wonder if they would fit in the car. ETA this link: http://www.epet.com.au/runs.htm
  8. yup yup visiting bunnings is on the cards. the latest one you posted looks really good too.
  9. pretty much perfect, except it has to be higher than 90cms. I cant open the first link cos im at work (no ebay) but the second one looks like what we want....just we need it to be higher. are those pens pretty sturdy?
  10. Can anyone recommend a good day pen that would have 2 beagles happily play in safely (high sides) that breaks down so we can take it in 4wd with us when we go camping? We cant let them off lead, so want to be able to set up a play pen for when we arent walking/exploring. We have a crate for them too, but want an additional area. We are planning on doing alot of camping this year, so want to get a good set up going for them to be happy in. I appreciate any ideas. Thanks Jacqui
  11. We are taking the 2 beagles camping on the weekend. It's for training them only, not for any other purpose. As in, traingibg them to be good campers haha. We took Charlie on his own before we had Mia and it wasn't a success (mainly because other campers didn't follow the rules and keep their dogs on leads). Where we are going is pretty isolated, and will be on the far side of the creek where only hard core 4wds can get to. Fingers crossed. Eta. Not that our 4wd is that hardcore anymore. Perhaps that may be an issue!!
  12. Happy Paws Training Treats are THE BEST EVER. I seriously never thought Id get my two beagles to loose lead - happy paws are the best. When the parcel comes I have to hide it from them so they dont destroy it. They are so good when they know we are training with them! I think a doler makes them too...? http://www.happypawstreats.com.au/home.cfm linky above :D
  13. Its amazing you say that CW EW....thats how MY Charlie is to me. Charlie and Mia make me live life, not just go through the motions of being alive. We bought a new car for them, are selling our house to move to a bigger block for them. My greatest fear is something happening to them (or hubby, but you get my drift), coming home to something irreversable (like baiting). They have changed my life, they have helped me to recover from surgery, battle personal issues, calm my husband - not by doing anything, just by BEING there, and being themselves, and loving us. They make up our family, and we will fiercely protect them for the rest of our days together. They give me a reason to get up in the morning.
  14. Ohhh - is that MY Harrison? - he is gorgeous! I've always been a Standard Poodle person - I did have a GSP for many years, and he was lovely, but I have an adverse reaction to dog hair. If this wasn't the case I would most definitely have a Golden Retriever - I just love them, their smiles, their bounce, their willingness to work (NOT a Poodle trait ) Yes, your harrison. I love him :-)
  15. Our next breed (currently have 2 beagles) will be a GSD, eventually we will have a greyhound. I'd love a dashound, a newf, Bassett hound, blood hound, St B, a cavalier, a boxer, poodle (cos of Harrison) ..... But I think we will always own a beagle, regardless. Noahs Ark of dogs. I've changed SO much, from life before the beagles and DOL...
  16. Never ever ever ever ever
