  1. I know it's a bit late but just wondering if anyone who's going to Wangaratta is after a Excellent Strategic Pair's partner in the 500 class??????? Kira needs a partner. Can jump 600 if needed! Please let me know asap!
  2. I've trialled under him at Albury either earlier this year or late last year (in Open obedience) and found him to be no different to any Victorian judge! Lovely man who had a good old giggle at my "oh shit" which I actually said instead of thought :D I patted my girl in between exercises.
  3. Hope everyone who wins a trophy really likes them! Cause I have just returned from making them with my hubby and nearly sanded my thumb nail off on the belt sander It really hurt Plus I'm a bit giddy from enhaling the varnish from them!
  4. Good luck to everyone who's competing at the State and National trials I didn't like 2 out of the 3 of the judges for the State trial at the level my dogs are at so we're off showing instead. Make sure someone posts the results! Go the Aussie's!!!
  5. She needs to pass her Test 2 to gain her TD, so not yet She's off to a good start though. She found both articles and no hesitation or mucking about on the corners! Wasn't even interested in the sheep that were in the paddock, phew!
  6. Yesterday we were at the TCV's tracking trial in Broadford. Kira successfully passed her Test 1 with a grading of Very Good! Narmi successfully passed her TQT! Both girls tracked myself and both were handled beautifully by Lynn
  7. For those who are coming up/or thinking about it I thought I better add some accommodation details: * Camping is available on the grounds, very basic - one shower available * Wangaratta Tourist Park - 5721 3368 - dog friendly. Currently has 4 cabins left and plenty of camping spots!
  8. Well done Hopenfox - I saw you there and managed to catch part of Fox's run! You sure cleaned up Kelpiechick! Congratulations on all those passes!!!!! I was very happy with my little guy, Denny, and myself too! Denny has NQ jumpers 5 times and 4 of those 5 fails were my fault, I kept getting excited at 2/3 last jump and dropping my bundle. Not this time! The "D Train" gained his JD title!
  9. Well now you'll just have to travel up to Wangaratta for our double obedience & agility trial to finish off her title ;)
  10. Travelled to Sunbury for their double Agility trial with Denny needing 2 passes to gain his JD title and he can now (very proudly by his Mum) be known as Sarasota Phantom Menace JD  Aussie's Rule! Go Miss Kinta!
  11. Just wondering if any DOLer's are competing at Sunbury tomorrow? It's my last jumpers trial until the little one's born. I'll be there with Kiz and Denny. All4gsd will also be there with her GDS' (duh)
  12. Yay Kelpiechick! Look forward to seeing you there. I'll be braving it for the first time and stewarding in the agility ring, scarey stuff
  13. Last dog I had desexed was a friends 6mth female Lab which cost $155. I thought that was pretty cheap seeing as how the dog was there all day.
  14. :D Well said JulesP! I have been reading this thread and trying to think of how to articulate what I was thinking - you said it so well! I'm also a fellow volunteer at an obedience club and it's always going to be hard to please everyone. That being said constructive critism is needed, however, I don't think broadcast over the www is the way to go. One of our members trains at Westernport sometimes and she's never said a bad thing about the club.
  15. Oh dear, poor Gambit. I only did two obedience trials last year with the kids for a pass with Kiz and a 172NQ with Narmi, grr. Good on you for having a go and hvaing the time to train. We'll see you out there next year once the little one is here!
  16. At a guess that sounds like it may have been Tull Lutrell of Sarasota border collies. As to which border collie it was, couldn't take a guess at that. I've been waiting to hear results as well. Tull's my guess too. I have a Sarasota Aussie Shep!
  17. Bumping your trial! Hi Gamby, Glad to hear your dogs are recovering, nothing worse that ill puppies My two are entered in TCV trail in July, Lyn K is handling them for me! I went down and did some training at Brimbank Park with her last weekend and the yellow dog is a little star!
  18. Gee I'm chatty this morning Travelled to Melbourne to do some tracking training with the lady who's handling Kira and Narmi for an upcoming tracking trial and boy the girls were both lovely! It was really nice to be able to watch them work (from under the ground sheet). I think we've found a sport where Narmi's better than Kira! She was a little trooper, right out on the end of 12metres and going like a litttle yellow train!!! The only thing that worried Narmi was there was a piece of black plastic rubbish 10m away from the track and she was convinced that there was a doggy monster in there, had to stop and give it a good look Really looking forward to the trial now, Kira's doing Test 1 and Narm's doing her TQT.
