  1. If I'm feeling crazy and walk 2 dogs at once I'll have one on each side. I find that my Aussie's have to be on the left cause they just can't seem to understand that walking on the right is okay Normally I'll just put mine in the car and take em down the river or to our block where they don't have to be on lead and can run about like mad things!
  2. Ok my turn! Novice Jumping at Albury on Saturday - Denny's second trial. Last run of the day (I'd already done 7 prior between my other dogs). Second last obstacle, tunnel - I know that he's not the most confident with tunnels. What do I do? Send him in, he goes. Then (excuse I know) because I am a tad unfit and lazy, I rear crossed him before he was fully committed and he popped out ;) Stupid, stupid me That was his only fault and he was the quickest by over 5 seconds - silly silly me
  3. I didn't want to come across as brag greedy Miss Blush (Silvanwood Mistbythamuch) gained her JD title on Saturday Now just two more passes for her AD!
  4. We had our obedience club's graduation trial on Sunday. Denny was such a little supa troopa! In Intermediate class (basically old encouragement) he passed with a score of 197/200. In CCD he passed with a score of 95/100 - I was such a proud mumma! I had one of my other dog, Narmi, in Novice and she passed with a score of 185/200 - so again another good result for my dogs. Now all I need to do is actually train regularly and they should be super super dogs
  5. Have a good trial peoples! I won't be able to make it - we're doing a tracking workshop weekend!!!!
  6. Has Kyneton started agility yet? We train at Shepparton on Sunday's (both agility & obedience) and we had a lady from Kyneton club come over and have a look at our equipment, facilities, etc towards the end last year because they were going to start agility over there. Bendigo does agility training but not sure which day? Maybe their website will have their training details? Mitchell Agility now train on a Sunday. I think Echuca train on a Sunday and they also do some agility training.
  7. RIP Dianne  My sincere condolences to you husband Tony, family and friends.
  8. I agree with both JBBB & Haven I use a flat collar on one of my dogs, a martingale on another and a check chain on the third. All 3 have completely different temperaments, hence the different equipment used!
  9. Congratulations on your title And good luck in Open!
  10. For me it really depends on how keen the dog is and how fit you are - both mentally and physically Given great weather and your dog is keen, fit and ready to go why not. In double trials I entered Kira in lots of events but with Blush it's 4 maximum and with the other 2 it's a maximum of 2 events each.
  11. I've never done a Jumping course under the judge who's down for Saturday. Hopefully it will be a nice flowing course for Blush and my other two newbies and the Excellent and Open courses will be tight and tricky for Kira I'm a hard woman to please. The kids need space but tight is better for Kiz cause it gives her less time to think I'm just hoping that it doesn't take forever between changing rings cause I want to be home before dark.
  12. I know it's still a couple of weeks away but just wondering if any Doler's are going to be at Albury for their March trial? We travelling up for the Saturday only. Hopefull Blush will get her JD, Kira will only be half feral, Narmi doesn't go all gundog and Denny stays the happy little huffer that he is
  13. My girls were done at approximately 6 months. My boy was done at about 14 months.
  14. That's the right link! Just put "Unknown" for parents and "N/A" for parents registered #.
  15. I never met your wonderful boy but heard nothing but good things about him from Shelly. I am so sorry for your loss :D Big hugs from us
  16. I hope to have our dogs titled in many fields (so long as they keep enjoying it!) Kizza (Assoc): GD SPD CD JD (1/3 CDX, 1/3 SD, 1/5 SPDX) Narmi (Assoc): CCD (1/3 CD) Blush (Aussie): (2/3 JD, 1/3 AD & some points towards her conformation title) Denny (Aussie): Making his trialling debut this year in obedience & agility!
  17. Thanks DD. Now the mission is to get 2 more Open obedience passes this year! Yeah my doggy situation is confusing. Living at mine are and I own: Kizza (Kira, Kiz) mad black dog Narmi - yellow dog Denny - Aussie Living at my sister's (only 5 min away - but I still drive, I'm bad) Blush (I own) - Aussie Twister - Aussie (she & breeder own) Hope that clears it up at bit!
  18. I better add to this thread too - I put it in the trial page but hey! Kizza got her GD title at the K9 agility trial on Saturday night! Was very happy. It was a funny run, we got our points as planned and then asked the judge if my buzzer had gone to do the closing bit, she said no so we just poked about for another 10 seconds. Next time I'll have a back up in case we still have time left! My young Aussie Denny made his debut and with only one fault in Novice Jumpers I was happy with his run. Narmi also had her second ever run and she only had two faults in the same class so they were both good babies - they did very well because when they finally had their runs it was well past their dinner and bed times!
  19. OMG - is your boy a Golden Retriever? He sure is Did you borrow my crate last night? I let a GR borrow my spare crate. What a small world!
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV5I64OMmT8 here ya go SW - just don't laugh at the handler Ness is already grilling me!!! It wasn't that bad! He looked really good in the agility At least you didn't do an "Oh s#*t" as your dog was heading for the wrong jump but not actually verbalise that so as they didn't take the wrong jump Or cheer that your dog has cleared the last jump in Open Jumpers just as it's about to take off therefore making them look at you unlike some idiot I know :D
  21. Congratulations Leopuppy. I'm so cranky I missed it. Ah well I'll now just have to watch him in Excellent!
  22. Kira got her novice gamblers title No other passes unfortunately but I was really happy with how my 2 younger dogs performed! I heard lots of dogs doing wheelies on the A Frame and Walk. I didn't even thing to check it We didn't do the Walk in Novice Agility cause Kira kamikazied off the A Frame so I pulled her after that stunt. Probably a good thing cause the way she goes she would have most likely had a stack off the Walk. Congrats to all who passed and those that did well but without that elusive certificate! We got home at 4am. Stopped for a 30min nap about an hour from home but only got 15min cause a koala started grunting in the tree which I was parked next to and scared the life out of me & the dogs and certaintly woke me up!
  23. No more sleeps Good luck to everybody's that's entered!
  24. We'd have to have one good working body between the two of us  I'd much rather be with puppies that at an agility trial though Helen! Lucky you, I'm envious. Only four sleeps to go!
