  1. Final warning.. ... quit with who was/is in the wrong and move on
  2. There is a bit of bickering going on in this thread. Can we stop please.

  4. I am following this up with the company.
  5. How to post in this forum This forum has been created specifically for aiding in the re-homing of URGENT dogs that are in a rescue situation. (see below for more info on what constitutes a rescue situation). Keep all 'general' rescue discussion in the main Rescue forum. To better enable the most effective use of this forum, if you start a new topic, please ensure you accept responsibility to update the current status as required so that obsolete information is kept to a minimum. When creating the title, please make it descriptive so potential rescuers have a good idea of things from the title without having to open the thread. When you deem the dog is no longer in need of rescue, please remove it by clicking the 'Remove Topic' button. Topics that are inactive for 5 days will be deemed to be abandoned and will be removed. If the dog is no longer deemed 'Urgent' but is still in need of rescue and you wish for it to be transferred to the 'Non-Urgent' forum, please Click the 'Report' button and request the thread be moved to non-urgent. What is a rescue dog? In order to keep this Rescue Forum as useful as possible (and to help the dogs in greatest need), please use these 2 simple criteria when posting. All dogs listed must be genuine rescues. (i.e. the dog is currently either in a pound/animal refuge or in a foster care situation). Private re-homing is not generally premitted unless the dog risks being harmed, neglected, or will be surrendered to a pound if a home is not found quickly (also see below about private re-homing). Dogs in a private home, foster care or in a rescue groups/individuals care must be advertised as desexed. The only exemption is when the dog is; 1) Elderly 2) Too young (There must be a condition in the contract where the dog must be desexed when old enough AND/OR a desexing voucher given. Please state this condition when posting.) Private re-homing If you need to re-home your own dog (or you need to re-home a dog on behalf of the current owner) and it is not urgent, please see the "Do you want to re-home your dog" topic for help. A dog in his situation is not really rescue and as such has more appropriate areas where they can be advertised. This will free up the resources for this forum for the dogs in real need.
  6. The breeder forum is a specialised restricted forum for the use of registered breeders. Requirements for access Registered breeders who have had at least one litter (or are expecting a litter) and wish to gain unrestricted access can send a PM to Troy or email [email protected] with the following information... your name your forum username your breed (s) your breeder prefix what canine body you are registered with Breeders who belong to working registries are welcome to participate. The forum administrator will also have discretion to give full access to other members who may not fully qualify but where we believe there will be a mutual benefit if they do have full access. (We can see this only rarely happening though) Please note that by being granted unrestricted access, you are expected to act in a reponsible manner at all times. Keep all personal disputes out of discussions. If people come asking for advice and they are met with abuse, then your access will be removed.
  7. This thread has gone through a cleanup. I think we all agree that hitting a dog is not to be condoned. Anybody who puts their 2 cents in about that aspect from this point on will be removed. (Find another forum if you want to preach to others how righteous you are)
  8. I think you should get your facts straight before you put comments like this on the forum. The account wasn't deleted. She initially was the one to say she would not be posting on here anymore because of what I assumed was a comment in one of the threads that wasn't praising the product. I did however say to her later that it is probably better that she no longer posts as it can be taken as advertising. She has emailed me recently to say she can no longer access the forum (I cannot see a reason why though as I have done nothing to her membership to cause this). Edited to add clarity
  9. There was a comment here about implants. This is a letter I received from the company concerned to be added to the forum. (I know it is probably advertising but I believe it may interest some on the forum)

A dog in his situation is not really rescue and as such has more appropriate areas where they can be advertised. In all cases, the main aim of the thread must be to find the dog a new home. If discussion changes to the ethics of the owner or other negative factors involving the dog's situation, the posters causing the problem will be either sent a warning, banned or their posts will in future be moderated (at the discretion of the moderators). If the discussion of a topic become negative, do not add your own comments to further inflame things as this will also earn a warning etc. If anyone feels a need to question the validity of a thread in this forum, please hit the 'Report Post' button to let us decide. It is not your job to be the forum/rescue police (at least not here).
  11. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigour; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing - they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carry him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then together you and your special pet cross the Rainbow Bridge. Author Unknown
  12. PHOTOS To attach an photo to your post, just browse to the image on your pc. (The area to attach an image is just above the 'Post new Topic' or 'Add Reply' button). The only problem is that you have to make sure your image is under 40k or it will not upload successfully. If you are unsure how to make an image under 40k, then on your image software there should be an option in the toolbar to resize your image. As a guide, resize your image to about 300 - 350 pixels wide. When saving the image on your pc, save it as a JPG file and if you can work it out, use compression of about 25. This should then reduce your file size to under 40k and also keep relatively good quality. AVATARS Avatars are changed through the 'My Controls' section and then click on 'Edit Avatar Settings'. When uploading your avatar the size needs to be under 10k and have a maximum width and height of 70 pixels. If you are having trouble reducing your file to the correct size, send it to [email protected] and your avatar will be returned for you to upload. If you want an animated avatar that changes, send a maximum of 3 pics. Format of pics to send is JPG or GIF. (Please wait up to 24 hours for return of avatar)
