  1. I walk my two one on each side. They walk at my side or slightly behind, only in front if I say so.
  2. I bought a couple of bags of the Frosty Paws Patties today and the first thing I noticed was there so small compared to the Dr B's Patties and they have a strong vegetable smell and I can see alot of vegetables where as with the proper Dr B's Patties the vegetable content is much less which I prefer. Dr B's Patties has a much better ingredients list to. I'm just hoping now there's some competition the Dr B's Patties will come down in price. I suppose if your going to feed a supermarket dog food the Frosty Paws Patties would be the best but I think the Dr B's Patties are a far superior product.
  3. I use Sentinel Spectrum and my dogs have never had fleas.
  4. I work at Coles and we will be carrying the Frost Paws dog food very soon!
  5. I already feed raw meaty bones and BARF Patties for breakfast. Dry is for dinner.
  6. I just think the dry would be boring on it's own. :D
  7. Has anyone tried the Eagle Pack can food? I feed the EP Holistic dry and I noticed where I get it from (Pookinuk) sells the Chicken cans. They're expensive but I was thinking of just adding a couple of tablespoons to there dry.
  8. Today I lightly cooked his chicken without cooking the bone and he loved it! :D
  9. His mouth looks fine and it's not smelly. He did break a puppy tooth which turned rotten when he was younger so it could be something to do with that I suppose.
  10. My 11 month old Stafford won't eat chicken bones(frames, chicken leg ons, wings) anymore. He use to eat them then one day he wasn't interested anymore so I stopped feeding them for a month then tried a chicken frame today and he's still not interested. He will eat chicken BARF patties. He'll eat lamb necks, kangaroo tails etc but sometimes leaves them to. It's almost like he can't be bothered chewing on a bone. Has anyone elses dog stopped eating something it use to like.
  11. I order my Eagle Pack Holistic from Pookinuk and have had excellent service. The first time I ordered from them I ordered the DVP which took over a week to come but the Eagle Pack comes in three days as it comes from a stockist in Canningvale. My dogs do better on the Eagle Pack.
  12. I found Sophie actually liked her crate. She'd put herself in before I left for work. I had to come home at lunch time to let her out to the toilet and she'd have a sunbake .
  13. Sophie my Staffy ruptured her crutiate when she was 1 year old but she did have some lameness on and off a bit before then so I think it had a tear then ruptured. Sophie had the operation where the surgical wire replaces the ligament which cost $1200. I had to crate her for 8 weeks after the surgery. She's now nearly 2.5 years old and after some initial soreness after she'd been to active on it, she's now back in full exercise without any soreness and she's a very active dog.
  14. The pack doesn't say but I don't think it would if it's freshly frozen. It's from WA.
  15. Does the frozen Kangaroo meat sold at Supermarkets have preservatives?
  16. What is your vaccination routine? Puppy shots and the first yearly booster? Thanks.
  17. I noticed Prota Dog has a fresh mince which is raw kangaroo and lamb/beef kidney. It has no preservatives. What are your thoughts on this food? I know people say not to buy supermarket pet foods but this one sounded okay to me.
  18. I'd love to feed whole rabbits to but the only rabbit I've seen is the farmed rabbit at the butcher which is $20 a kilo. On Sunday Sophie was chasing a wild rabbit, she didn't catch it and I don't know if the wild ones are safe to feed. I think this post is a great idea. I've fed BARF for a few years and have recently cut down on the vegies I feed but am still nervous to cut them out completely.
  19. I recommend Sentinel Spectrum. Great stuff!
  20. I've seen numerous posts about what to do if your dog eats the blood absorber from the meat tray but what about when for the second time my Dad cooked our roast chicken with the blood absorber stuck to the bottom. It didn't taste weird. Are we poisoned???
  21. I use to feed my dogs once a day but then I changed to twice a day after reading about it on this forum, I still think once a day is fine but I'd feel mean changing back now.
  22. The treat bag on this website is my favourite ever. It's easy to open and close and wipes clean. I think it's better than the Black Dog one. http://www.airdogs.com.au/xcart/home.php?cat=255
  23. I pay $72 for a box(4 rolls) of BARF Patties. If you're getting them for $48 that's a bargain!
  24. Silly me thinking your Beagle was a Labrador . I'd still be feeding bigger bones that can't be swallowed whole especially if you have a Staffy as I know mine tend to swallow chunks of bone without chewing properly as they have a powerful jaw.
  25. I wouldn't feed small bones like chicken necks/wings/drumettes to a Labrador. He needs bigger bones like chicken frames, kangaroo tails, lamb necks etc.
