  1. Hmm can you go file>save for web in your version? you might have more filetype options there. As for filesize 75kb isn't very big. Both of our ivy sigs come in at around 70-75kb.
  2. Fluffy Dogs can be painful Thanks for the font tip! I got a few from www.1001freefonts.com/ For some anoying reason the background of each post on DOL is verry slightly a different colour haha, I dont know what program you used but if you can save it withough a background at all in png24 it should look seemless on them all. I only just figured out pngs the other day haha havent had to combat different backgrounds before.
  3. Oh wow I really like them Okami!! Great work! I think I prefer this on of the two but they are both real good!

  6. haha I've had that video in my you tube favs for a while now Direct YouTube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hly0vuXPG-M
  7. Right click on the image and click properties, Copy the URL Address Go to "My Controls" Up the top of the page then go to "Edit Signature" on the left hand menu. Paste the address in the text box and add img /img tags and Update You might want to save it and upload it to photobucket yourself incase the original is moved or deleted.

  11. Here is an old thread I dug up about it http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...ancing&st=0 Unfortunately Teebs Videos don't seem to be working but searching 'trancing dog' or 'bull terrier trancing' on youTube came up with a few amusing results
  12. I had a go at your sig Cassie. I haven't used Photoshop for a while so its pretty simple. I wish all of Hudsons face was in that shot. I'm not skilled enough to remake his jaw but I added a bit to the top of His head lol, I hope its accurate Please don't use it if you don't like it, I wont be offended ETA: Actually it looks like I accidently cut of more of his Jaw... Im going to fix that now haha ETA again: for fixed pic
  13. Definately useful!! Tangent Discussions are most welcome
  14. That makes sense, my parents dog was the last dog I lived with and she was an exessively shy and submissive dog and wouldn't dream of pushing boundries. I imagine any well bred dog (she was from PP) is going to be a massive step up from her but it is definately something I am looking forward to. Some purebred dogs will probably be way more than you're willing to deal with. If you wanted to avoid owning a fairly tough, independent dog rather than a more biddable one, there'd be breeds to recommend you avoid and some to steer you towards. That said, individual puppy selection is also important and that's why its important to buy from a knowledgeable breeder. My current breed interests are Border Collies or Kelpies, and while they are often described as biddable dogs I do expect to be pushed. I feel I will be able to deal with this and certainly will be doing everything in my power to do so. I am open to thoughts and other suggestions though. I'm starting to get used to dog savvy people hesitating when I mention I'm after a working Dog, and I don't blame them considering the amount that end up in backyards with nothing to do. I think my biggest challenge would be training my OH to live with more than one Good advice though Thankyou This is something very important to me, with all I have read on these forums and the examples of my parents two previous PP dogs both in health and temperment, I am taking breeder selection very seriously. I have already been in contact with a couple in breeds im interested in and plan to meet more dogs and breeders at shows etc, before deciding. That is encouraging to hear Corrie, and sums up how I feel. The more I know the more confident I feel in that I will be able to deal with these situations acordingly. Thankyou
  15. That makes sense, my parents dog was the last dog I lived with and she was an exessively shy and submissive dog and wouldn't dream of pushing boundries. I imagine any well bred dog (she was from PP) is going to be a massive step up from her but it is definately something I am looking forward to. I tend not to be overly confident more when it comes to dealing with people, and this is the situation where I know I'll need to push myself to stop how someone might be interacting with my dog or discussing something I am not comfortable with that my Vet suggests. I feel I would be more confident in working with my dog than I would be with people. Thankyou Poodlefan, thats made me think much more about it!
  16. Great replies guys, some stuff I havent thought about yet! This is something I know I will have to push myself for. I'm generally not an overly confident person, another reason why I want to learn as much as I can so I can recognise these situation and know when to put a stop to it. Similar to above, vaccinations and shots is something I need to put alot more research into than I have so far, Thanks I'm sure wiping up wees is only a minor side effect of the Amazing and rewarding work you do!! Your puppy buying thread is great! I'm surprised I hadn't seen it yet. Thanks for the Link, what a good site What to feed is something I'm still looking into too.
  17. Hi guys, As I am renting where I am not able to keep Dogs, I have a huge amount of time to prepare for one while we save up to move. I am using this time to learn as much as I can! So I was wondering, What do you wish you knew before you got your Dog? Or even what do you wish OTHER people knew before they got their Dogs? It could be anything from certain training methods, something you taught your dog that would have been useful from the start or equipment you wish you had from the start like a crate etc. or How to deal with certain behaviours, absolutly anything. I'm not very good at thinking up examples ... but thats why I'm asking you guys One thing I wish people knew about before getting a dog is DOL forums, They have certainly been a massive source of information for me and I am glad I found it first! Thanks guys!
