  1. Well I think he thinks he does! He is half cocker half poodle. I think he likes to control the game and when big dogs play he doesn't join in due to thier size, (none of mine will "play" with bigger dogs) so it's possible it's a "I can't play so I don't want you too either" as soon as the bigger dogs stop he stops, but usually so the bigger dogs can have a rumble I pop him on the lead and he is fine.
  2. Thanks Sheena, that was a great explaination, I understand exactly what your saying, Maybe I will have a read up on cicker training and give it a go with Bron. I have never thought about using one before as the other 3 were all easy to train and are generally well behaved. But the young fella has been a bit of a challenge in the learning stakes.
  3. This sounds like something I could try with my youngest, he is already good at telling me when something is bothering him, he is very expressive and talky but there is a friends two dogs who we have play dates with and when they play together Bronson runs in and barks and tries t o get them to stop. They ignore him which makes him bark and chase them more. So if I could get his attention (I don't use a clicker) before this behavior escalates and treat and repeat, hopefully I might be able to break the habit. I usually just pop him on he lead then he ignores them. I wish I could figure out why he does it? Well done Eric! He sounds very similar in a lot of what he does to Bronson so often I read your posts nodding my head.
  4. http://www.megapet.com.au/index.php?/epping/ thats a goodie, there is a few of them. There is also a good one in roxburgh park outnear Craigiburn, but I can't for the life of me think of the name of it. I love love love pets and the city in Albert park, it is very boutiqy but suh awesome stuff, also very pricey!
  5. Jj, there is lots of great huge chain pet stores in Melb that are awesome a bit like best friends, I absolutely despise pets paradise, and pet goods direct, like you I do not know how they are still open here, they would have to be running at a loss. Heard lots of bad reports from people who have visited there lately. Darren bought his Snakey in today and I must say she is pretty awesome, I even had a tiny hold, till she got her head near me for a better look that was enough. I was scared she might be able to tell I was scared. Lots of the team admired her and a few were like wtf a snake!
  6. I've got a D80, if I could upgrade it would be to a D300 or a bit more expensive a D700 I haven't checked for a whole but maybe here is a newer model out? Just seen this http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond300s/ A couple of years old now.
  7. Geez you got the job done nice and quick, I love Melbourne but sometimes the hustle and bustle is too much! They have wayyyy better pet shops down there! Sounds like you have a good stock up, I guess you might have an influx of people getting closer to xmas wanting lizards, turtles etc. Did you end up getting the little kanga mice back in?
  8. The frogs are ok but the baby turtles sooooooo cute!!
  9. I forgot to mention also that one of my girls was always itchy, not overly but it was there and hated me touching her front feet, not no more itches and I can do anything to her feet without a flinch.
  10. I tried to vote, ticked black hawk but when I clicked vote it tells me I have to vote in both sections?? Like you I have tried lots of other food, Pro plan, eagle pack, Nutro just to name a few, I only have one that liked a dry diet only and the others were all on raw. After reading about black hawk in one of GayleKs thread I decided why not give it a go for all 4 of mine and we have never looked back, not only is it good price wise, they do great on it, nice coats, lots of energy, low output in the garden etc etc. It win win all round. Two of mine are a tad on the tubby side and the two that aren't were heading that way too on such a small amount even with plenty of excersise, so now all 4 of mine are on the light variety.
  11. Love. It Jj although I think your a couple of scaley ones short!

  15. A better view of mission control central.... Hey Mick, Darren said he is going to bring the snake into Bunnings on Monday to say hi. We were imagining all sort of catastrophes as he goes out and the door person says "can I check your bag"
