  1. Good bowel movement, nice pink gums, he seems just about his usual self today, still a little fidgety but nothing like he has been the last couple of nights. its quite warm here so we are going out for a short walk/run.
  2. We have only just woken up and so far we have total calm, he's sat up to say hello and had a cuddle and now gone back to sleep and has not fidgeted once. He usually sleeps in his crate but has been so unsettled so last night slept all night on the bed. I'll check his gums when we get up. We might go for a run after, it will be interesting to see how he goes. My girl who wasn't well, only went out once during the night and has slept soundly the rest on the night. Can anyone tell me more about bloat? Can it possibly happen over a few days or is it something the dog gets in an instant?
  3. Couldn't get the video to upload it was too long
  4. No I haven't taken his temp, he hasn't so much as moved hardly at all since my last post which was around 5 hours ago. Will see how he is today. Oso, it's not my boy who had the surgery it's my youngest, thankfully the one that had the lumps removed is having a great night not so much as a peep. So much better than last night! Touch wood its all smooth sailing for a incident free recovery.
  5. He had a small vomit this morning and yes regular toilet stop, maybe slightly softer than usual but all good. The only thing out of the ordinary was Thursday he ate a piece of rabbit, they have never had rabbit before, the piece he had was about the size of a chicken drumstick. Regarding bloat what other signs would I look for? He hasn't been fed after excersise, the last big run he had was Thursday morning and the only food he has had in the last few days was Thursday the piece of rabbit and kibble for dinner, 2 chicken wings yesterday and a small amount of kibble for dinner and today just some chicken and a small amount of kibble for dinner, less than usual. He is drinking as per usual as well which is a moderate amount. My OH just thinks he has some sort of irritation? One of my girls who also ate the rabbit is also off colour had the runs and a couple of small vomits but no restlessness and just wants to sleep. I can't decide if the two are related!
  6. Well my boy is still unsettled tonight, he was better through the day but not quite himself like I said in my precious post just not quite right and I have watched him like a hawk today, he seems ok up and about but on settling for a snooze just can't get comfy and fidgets! I did a little video which im uploading to you tube, it's 4 mins long so quite boring but if anyone wants to take a look I'd appreciate it. The video is probly not his fidgeting at its worse but it gives an idea. I think it would be pointless taking him to the vet at this stage as I just don't see how they could figure out what it is if I can't It hasnt got any worse and is about the same tonight as he was Iast night. don't think he does it in the vid but there is one spot on his side that he scrathes and one spot on his front right foot that he bites at, but it seems more like habit rather than anything else. As I've been writing this he has finally settled down and been the stillest he's been since I hoped into bed at 8.30. It's driving me nuts because I just can't quite put my finger on what it can be?
  7. I think there is a curfew for cats in Warrnambool but I'm not sure what it is. That's not good about tower hill, probly cats from houses up around the crater.
  8. Im not that technical, I use a lot of the presets, and all the actions are sliders so really easy. I've never used layers and to be honest, I'm not a fan of PS but only cause I don't understand it. We touched on it at a photo course I done a few years ago but once I started using light room I never went back. I think the pros use LR in conjunction with PS
  9. A trap is a great idea, send that menace kitty packing!! You are deadly right about cats and the damage they do and owners are slack! I do love my cats though, my old girl will be 21 in December if she makes it that long, she is still in good health for her age so we think she has a bit of life in her yet. Her days consists of sleep, eat, sleep eat, sleep eat. she does go outside into the back yard with the dogs but I know she never leaves the yard as she cannot jump the fences they are too high for her! She sleeps in the dog kennel and under the dog beds. I think she sometimes thinks she is one of the dogs, I've tried to get a photo of her with all the dogs together but it is rather impossible.
  10. I'm not really up with the Solid state drive side of things, but I do think the sales guy saying yu need it for photo editing is a load of phooey, no doubt it would be awesome but I can't see why it would be better. Hope someone more savvy comes in here to explain. once you start using Lightroom for editing (if that's what you decide to do) you won't look back it is fantastic, and super easy to use.
  11. I'm pretty sure anything you can do on an iMac you can do on a MacBook, someone correct me if Im wrong. If you have been doing all your photo stuff on the iPad, prepare to be blown away with an iMac or MacBook. They are fantastic. There is no comparison between a iPad and a MacBook. Not trying to change your mind just giving you all the info you need, it's a lot of money to spend.
  12. Not sure about solid state drives on an iMac but have you considered a MacBook instead of a iMac? I have had mine nearly 12 months now and they are awesome, especially for photos editing etc. laptop is more portable, just putting it out there!! Do you use Lightroom? Since using Lightroom I havent gone back to PS.
  13. Thanks for all the suggestion, My OH had suggested that, but I really didn't think this was the case. Im 100% sure today he was just feeling sick, after his little vomit this morning he has been not so fidgety today and more settled just not 100% himself but definitely better than yesterday.
  14. But of course! Funny kids, so when does the kitty arrive??
  15. Well that's fantastic! I bet the kids love having all kinds of "not" the usual kind of pet.
  16. Awww so cute, is it a wallaby? Pet? We had one as kids, she kept escaping when she was fully grown so she went to the oasis to live. She was a fabulous pet. Do you need a license?
  17. Thanks Guys I appreciate the kind words. Lisa thats fantastic about Dezzy, My girls are still enjoying their "work" we do our usual visit and a couple of times a month we do an extra visit to the kids ward on theatre days, its amazing how much the dogs take the kids minds off being hungry and in pain waiting for theatre. Im sure Dezzy will be a hit in his new position!!
  18. All good so far, think I'm the only one suffering but only from lack of sleep! I'd be hopeless with a human baby  Redangel, it's unusual to me because my lot can usually tolerate anything, I'm still betting it's the bunny, but not sure why? I just thought it would be similar to chicken? I love the methane outburst expression, mine usually by pass that and head right to the next step, particularly Lacy, that was her last night.
  19. Thanks, he had a restless night with lots if pain judging by the whimpering and crying, but he's really good this morning. :)
  20. We posted at the same time, I had actually thought this too as yesterday he kept scratching one particular spot on his side, not like it was itchy but like it was annoying him, when I scratched it he didn't indicate that it was itchy, not sure if that makes sense. I wondered if he had some pain on the inside that he was targeting! They all seem happy enough now fingers crossed for a better day today!
  21. Well just when I though every doggy had settled, Cooper started to cry and whimper, he must have been in some pain from his op, so not like him, this upset the others so I ended up sleeping half the night on the floor, popped Bronson back in his crate, he was still restless. He settled after about 15 minutes then Lacy started, in and out to the loo every half hour, her and Bronson were the only ones who ate the rabbit, Tully did too but she vomited hers back up later the day she had it. I realize now Bronson must have just been feeling sick hence the restlessness, first thing this morning he vomited as well, so will see how he goes today. He is not a spews dog at all so he has to feel really off and it takes him a lot to be sick. Needless to say there will be no more rabbit in this house!!!
  22. I'm sure your right. I don't think the rabbit he had would have been big enough to get stuck, I watched him crunch away at it for some time so he didn't guts it. I will watch him toilet first thing in the morning though as I never seen him go today, I'm sure he did but I just didnt see it. A close eye it is, he is sleeping right next to me. He hasn't stirred since I wrote the original post. I only just said that earlier, it would make things so much easier. Thanks for the replies, I knew Pers was still up but wasn't sure if anyone else would be!
  23. Well CJ had his surgery today and all went well, he had a general anesthetic and it didn't take long they rang me only one hour after I took him in as he woke up and was screaming/howling the place down, he is not a fan of the vets at all. So got him home and he has spent most of the day sleeping. Funny I realize now how right pawed he is, both lumps are on the right and he goes to step up/down with his right foot and has to stop to think about it then uses his left. Also he always lays on his right side. He might be a lefty once he has healed up. as is its now officially not Friday the thirteenth any more I can happily say it was one that went off without a hitch. He does look very sore and keeps looking at me with the big sad eyes, I'm sure he is thinking why have you done this to me.
