We offically started agility training and going to a club in Feb 2009. Our first & only ADAA trial was at the end of May 2009. We didnt get a pass card but didnt get DQ either! Then in September 2009 we entered out first ANKC trial at the Royal melbourne show...Somehow in someway we ended up winning Novice class. So many people told me I shouldnt be trialling until i have been training for at least a year...infact you'll probably see some topics in here about it...I think if you know your dog and your ready then go for it! Who cares whats happens anyway was my philosophy...I treated trials just like i did training.

What happens if ...you have entered a novice trial but your dog gets his/her title the week before? Can you ring them and ask to be put up a class or do you compete in novice anyway?

Aw damn, i was the last class of the day, jumping, at like 4:30 and by the time i got inside they had packed up. Agility was on first and the results got put up so maybe these people went during the day because they already knew they had won. Presentations was at like 4:45. Oh well.

I have to ask...Does anyone know why the offical photographer (Pedini) wasnt taking photos of the obe/agility/jumping winners?...I thought it was abit disappointing and unfair that only the confirmation winners mattered. Does anyone know if there were offical photographers hanging round ring side taking photos?

Today Jordi and I competed in our FIRST ANKC jumping trial at the Royal Melbourne Show and not only got a CLEAR round but also took out BEST NOVICE JUMPING EXHIBIT

I have had this problem and only now relised maybe the dry food is the reason I cant get weight on my dog. I just changed over to Bonnie this weekend. I have gave it to my boy and he was fine on it, but when I gave it to my bitch she got the runs. I'm now going to go out and buy supercoat again and mixx the too and hopefully my bitch will get used to it as i slowly take away the supercoat.

Thanks for your messages everyone. The worst thing is, if she was human he wouldnt only be charged with negligence but MURDER too!.....people just dont understand because she is an animal, he shouldnt be able to get away with it

My 8 month old siamese cat was taken from me today. We had workers at our house installing a new kitchen. I put Portia in the bathroom, put a sign on the door saying "Do NOT enter, cat in bathroom"...but do you think people listen? I got home to find my beautiful baby in the shower, with the taps turned ON and lying on the bottom of the shower dead. I SCREAMED and could hardly breath....that image will be traped in my mind FOREVER. At first we had thought she had passed under suspecious circumstances but figured out that when the plumber came to the house...he turned on all the taps in the house to release pressure before disconnecting....but of corse FORGOT to turn the shower tap off before reconnecting the water....Portia must have gotton in the shower (this i have seen before, she jumps onto the top) during this period and therefor either died of stress or cold water. I never usually trust anyone with my pets, BUT, who would ever think something like that could happen?!?!? I feel so guilty for not being there watching every move people made....if I had, she would still be here right now. My heart will be broken forever....I cant stop crying, my heart is aching sooo bad....she was ONLY A BABY!!!! I cant even LOOK at that house right now....let alone EVER EVER EVER go in that shower again!!!! PLEASE! NEVER TRUST ANYONE WITH YOUR PETS

Can someone tell me the meaning of "Vale" I have never heard of it and neither have my parents....must be an old term?.....i see it alot on here though and in the dog mags etc

That looks great! How did you do it Heidii? (I have a higher res version on my PC so would like to make the changes on that one and get it printed) Vehs, she turned THREE earlier this year. I keep forgetting that she is all grown up now cause she still acts like the baby of the family LOL. NOT happy with the Havanese claiming that title! I just used the dodge tool: Set Exposure between 15 - 40 depending on how white you want - dont over do it - experiment. Mode set to midtones, use a "fuzzy" brush. You can also then use the Clone Stamp Tool to copy white hairs from the dog to replace dirty hairs here and there
