I’ve only had my dslr since September so I’m really still learning what works and what doesn’t but it’s nice to think that I’m getting better since my first attempts! Schnauzerboy – hmm….well it’s probably not one of your best photos I’ll agree but full marks for trying something new! Even if it didn’t work out how you wanted. Ams – awwww! Look at the baby kittens! Sooooo cute! I must say mummy cat really does not look impressed at all though! flyingduster – love the little cat sitting by your hubby…she looks so unimpressed at your doggies antics! poocow – love the bathtime photo…your dogs are so expressive! Love your photos…. Anniek – love those two beach photos… Wolfsong – that feather is gorgeous! Love the colours. bec – great shot of the barber shop and *giggle* at your comment about the man in the window – I must admit I agree! :D tlc – love that last shot – very spectacular! Terranik – ooh love the effect of that self portrait! It does look ghostly…I haven't seen any twilight stuff but it does make me think of one of my favourite tv shows Supernatural! iltby – love the spider web shots! Amazing depth of field….. shell – omg I love the yoda protecting your desk! That’s awesome! Lovely shot of Remy too – he does look very happy surrounded by rope toys! TangerineDream – love that last shot – I think the ‘fly screen effect’ is cool – nearly makes it look like a drawing. Oink - nawww piggies! All lined up too - they look comfy. Oh and tlc – I attempted to get my two to pose for me and this is what I got…*shakes head* Not exactly what I was going for! Obviously I need to work on training my two fluffballs and then I'll try again!

Only have time for a quick look through the last page or so but WOW I am so impressed by the quality of photos! I will definitely be coming back to admire them later. I've been lazy today and defaulted to a doggie happy snap photo today. This is......Molly in motion. (Amazing if you know her since she usually only moves at the speed of couch potato. )

That's actually hardly any fluff for my raggies...when they shed going from winter to summer it's like a fluffy snowstorm! But I brush them pretty much every other day just cos they love it. Glad you liked the colours...the red is just the top of a footstool and the black background is my entertainment cabinet...But I thought it gave it a 'studio'-ish feel which I liked. I'm still amazed by the shots of your four pups (who are adorable btw!). The photos of them all together just look perfect...even down to the matching pink tongues! I think I'll set myself a challenge to get a photo of my two nicely posed together....if that doesn't work then I'll just post up the failed pics for a laugh!

Here's today's effort.....what I had for lunch....yummmmmmmm.

So many fantastic photos again! In an attempt to comment on a few... piper – love the beagle all tucked in under the quilt! That’s a very funny puppy to do that in this crazy heat we’re having! becandcharch – great shot of charch’s big licky tongue! shell – I really like the first photo of Remi….I also really like his name and colouring! Very pretty boy! Kirislin – oh wow you got a shot of a peregrine falcon! That’s fantastic…..how wonderful to see them in real life. Two Spirit – love the vibrant colours. Beautifully chaotic. kja – wow that’s an eye popping pink! Nice photo. :D ness – Ness looks great posing for you….although having met her I reckon she’s thinking “I’m going to get food for this right???” SBT – What a cute photo of Pal Pony…I like the mane flowing in the breeze… BeeB – Naaaaawwwww! Very very cute! Tangerine Dream - I agree too! I'm paying way more attention to the world around me since starting this challenge. Everything is a potential photo opportunity! Here's my photo for Day 8. My sister (who got me into this whole dslr photography thingy in the first place) is doing photo a day too on her blog and she decided to set me a challenge within a challenge (yeah like it's not hard enough already! ) to take a photo of the books on my bookcase....so that's who today's photo idea came from.

Well with a mere 45 minutes left of today I thought I'd better get onto it and post today's effort. I realised that it was day 7 of the challenge and I had yet to take a photo of my girl Molly! ;) Having said that she is somewhat camera shy and whenever I point the camera in her direction she tends to hang her head and look like I'm about to beat her with a stick! Which never makes for a great photo. Having said that occasionally (very occasionally!) I can get a decent photo of her which shows what a pretty happy girl she really is. I've just spent ages admiring everyone's photos but I loved so many it was impossible to comment on them all....I love checking in here every night and seeing so many people keeping up with it, even if they (like me!) are feeling somewhat uninspired on the day!

I was making the bed and as soon as I flapped the sheet Dash jumped up to see what was going on....he proceeded to pounce around like a loony for several minutes before giving me this look - "What do you mean this isn't helping you make the bed??" I do love my crazy cats. It's not a wonderful photo by any means but it's all I had time to take and to be honest I am just way to tired to try and think about getting a better shot of something today. I'm a bit too tired and glazed out after browsing through all the pages to remember all the comments I wanted to make but pixie meg your boy is just beautiful! He's got that lovely long skinny nose (like a collie!)...what a cutie. And kirislin - that's a great photo of 'Demure'. The crossed paws are just so dainty! Everyone has such great photos and ideas happening. I'm loving all the photos and I'm really enjoying being inspired by so many great photographers.

Nope - wouldn't have guessed he's half ragdoll! :D Does he or his litter sister have blue eyes?? I know nothing about cat genetics either so you're not alone! ;) Very gorgeous colouring and markings he has though...half ragdoll half moggie all beautiful. Clicking Mad - Lotus is just so sweet with her lobster friend and I love the lobster in all its fullsized colourful beauty! I love seeing the different toys other people's dogs have.... Pandii - I like that cleaning bucket photo....makes me think it's one of those old style ads and some woman with 50s hair is about to come out extolling the virtues of Jif! :D or maybe that's just me. :p Okay - I said I was going to bed like half and hour ago but I had to pop back in in an attempt to keep up with everyone's photos! Whoa! I came back in to quickly look at everyone's photos and there's 10 pages since I checked yesterday!! Wow guys that's awesome! I think everyone's photos are just lovely but just to comment on a few I really loved: flying duster - what a beautiful little cat with those little daisy like flowers....adorable! Riley James - those pink flowers are beautiful...they looked so fuzzy and soft I wanted to reach in and stroke them. kja - Lobo is beautiful....love the colour of his eyes! ness - great photo and I love that alien toy! schnauzerboy - your photos are always great but I love aubrey and that huge stick. She's still just gorgeous. Snap - I love your pretty cat! Very nice photo too....my cats are starting to hide when they see me get the camera out! helen - I love that photo of Bella - she's beautiful and that's such a cute trick! Love the little star cookie too. Justice Shades - that is a brilliant photo! I stared at it for ages trying to figure out how the hell you took that...it's fantastic...like some kind of optical illusion picture. Great work! SBT - I love "Hey Cow" that's a fantastic shot and love the little story... Darien - Awww! Ragdoll! How gorgeous is Coco... Bellatrix - Love the apple pics....beautiful colouring in those photos. TerraNik - Your self portraits are excellent....that's a great challenge to set yourself - I know I couldn't do it! That last photo is beautiful - it's so sweet but makes me feel a little sad somehow... FionaC - Don't know if it's just cos I'm so tired but I kept blinking at your photo trying to see the keys even though I knew it was a keyboard it's like the light on it kept making it shift when I looked at it. Very cool effect. :D Shell - Man I'm obviously a sucker for cat photos cos I love that photo of Jonas! He looks like a Turkish Van cat... altheau - I really like that photo...the colours to me have a really cool 'cartoon' quality about them so bright and vibrant. It was back to work for me today so I was too stuffed to do anything much photography wise so I just grabbed my camera to take on my afternoon walk with the pups and thought this photo was okay. I'm hoping to do something a bit better for tomorrow. :D

So many photos I'd be here all day commenting on them all! I really love the photo of Princess Cha Cha....what a cutie and such a cute name! Sirius looks so comfy...'be one with the cushion little puppy'. What a gorgeous boy... anniek - That photo made me laugh! It looks like he/she just sat up to go "BOO!". Great photo. Here's my day three effort taken after spending all morning crawling around the living room floor on my elbows chasing my subject Dash. Darn uncooperative cat.

Wow - there are some really great photos in here! I love everyone's pics! Those baby duckies are sooo cute! And I love Sophie's eyes....she's a beautiful cat. Here's my effort for today taken about 10 minutes ago...it's only day 2 and I've been so busy I nearly forgot about the challenge! :D At least I remembered before the end of the day. ;)

I've logged onto DOL for the first time in ages and I'm so excited about the January challenge! It's such a fantastic idea and I'm going to try really hard to keep up for the month... Here's my photo for today taken on our walk this morning at the park.

Awesome! Thanks so much for letting me know they'll work on long haired dogs too...I've just put in an order for two polar collars for my two fluffballs! They will be two cool puppies. ;) ;)

Ooh those cool collars sound like a great idea for summer... Can I ask a really silly question and ask if they work on long haired dogs? Or are they really only for short haired dogs? I would love to get a couple for my two but only if they'll feel some benefit of the cool collar through all their fluff!

I love the polar bears.....so cute! I also really like the water buffalo photo....they look happy - for buffaloes anyway.

I love Kyra with her ball and its pretty pink love hearts...makes her look extra girly.

I love the first photo too....the torrens sure looks different at night when you take photos to make it look like its surrounded by pretty fairy twinkly lights.

Wow there's some wonderful photos up already! I've only had my 50D for a week and a half so I'm completely new to the whole world of dslr but I hope it's okay if I join in. My photos are nothing real special but I had fun taking them! JS - Hey! You were at 'my' beach! I am about 5 mins drive from Henley Beach and that's where I took this lot of photos....love it down there. :D I took these photos tonight between 6:05pm - 6:27pm. They are all straight off my camera cos I don't have a photo editing program yet....I'm hoping to get something soon though since I'm sure my photos could use a bit of help!

Awwwww....how gorgeous is Shyla! I love the one with her bone and her bouncing around on the couch...she's obviously a very lucky puppy! I love her extra fluffy coat too....I think short coat shepherds are lovely but the long coats are really stunning.
