  1. that made me laugh. thanks redangel. :)
  2. that link you posted it different to the one I used so I've put it on there as well, thanks Pers. :)
  3. I just went to change my account details but I've already got it set to recieve notifications, but I haven't been. that's no good
  4. I was just exploring my account, which I dont do much and found all these requests for me to put my photo with certain groups. Some of them are really old requests, but I cant see anything to let me know I had a message. Unless I go hunting daily for any requests and messages I dont seem to know they're there.
  5. I thought piknik was attached to flickr but I cant see it there.
  6. It's quite possibly worth a bit too, that's probably one of Australias most famous songs, and you now have an autographed photo from the bloke who wrote it.
  7. at least you rescued that, how sad when someone dies and all their treasures are just thrown away.
  8. she'll be in for a rude shock if problems arise. I wonder if the bitch has anywhere to whelp, has she been wormed, so many questions and I suspect the answers to all of them are No.
  9. Why dont you email her and ask, I'm sure she'd know the lens you mean.
  10. thanks :D Poor bunny looks petrified, it was a wild one that had been caught by either ferreters or shooters.
  11. Here's some more of mine. My older sister, standing on the front porch. She always was an exhibitionist  sister again, the hat she's wearing was actually the decoration you used to put around birthday cakes to make them look pretty and I think the glasses were for 3D. Back then sci fi movies were shown in 3D for a while. The house was newly built and the backyard not yet finished. Now it's an old house. brother with pet chicken "Dummon" which was how we said come on. me with older brother. I was born not long after the Korean war and people used to think I was an adopted Korean refugee baby. Sister and Brother. Brother with our shepherd Caesar me on the left, sister on right Me, before I got a completely inny belly button. I remember the man who took this photo was an amateur photographer and he had a "good" camera back then. I love this photo.
  12. are these the photos you found? It would be good to know more about them.
  13. yep. It cost me almost $600 cause I bought it from a camera shop, not online. I didn't know about online shopping back then, and I didn't know of the bad rep Canon 50mm 1.4 has with auto focus failure. I love the lens but I wont replace it with another Canon, I might get a Sigam though. This lens will still work with manual focus and the auto hasn't given up yet, it just sounds like it's going to soon.
  14. well done to figure it out your self, I couldn't have helped you anyway
  15. they're fantastic! is that a cat attacking the mans arm? I love it when they write on the back, that's one thing my mother always tried to make me do, it's a good idea, although I have to confess I dont do it all the time.
  16. see the memories these old photos bring back? :D
  17. I wonder what the population of Manildra is now, has it gone up or down since that photo was taken?
  18. I think my 50mm is on the way out, for the 2nd time!!!!!! I had it fail just after the warranty expired but after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing of emails Canon agreed to fix it "as a gesture of goodwill". I've now had it just over 3 years and it's started freezing up on me, and then being rather noisy as it grates back and forth trying to focus. I'm so disappointed. I wont be sending it in for repair, if and when if finally goes completely kaput. I'll be looking for another brand to replace it with. Just had to have a little vent.
  19. Yes, I use EOS utility and my pics are RAW. It downloaded them OK in the end, a bit slower than usual but it all seems OK. It's just never done it before and I must have done this thousands of times. I was worried I might lose all my pics but they're still there. Phew!
  20. I love the little boys with their neatly combed, and possibly brylcreamed hair. You dont see that anymore.
  21. My mare Pagan, the day she was born, Sept. 16th 1984 with her mum thoroughbred mare, Lady Cynthia.
  22. Kibah and her daughter Lolly, the only parti colour she had. getting too big for the whelping box, ready to explore the big wide world. When Kibah and Penny were still buddies. When I first got Kibah I had high hopes of her sleeping in a cardboard box beside my bed. Even Penny liked it for a while. they used to be such good friends, until puberty hit I suppose, I cant really remember when things changed.
  23. Here's some more of mine, Kiri, the first part of my cybername Kiri on the right, Iris, the middle part of my cybername, on the left. Kiri melting off the spare bedroom mattress. the view I'd often wake up to, Kiri beside me with her head on the pillow.
  24. I always plug my camera in to the computer, the way the manual recommends, to download my photos, I've been doing it the same way ever since I got my first digital camera. Just now, I do what I've done thousands of times and my computer says it has to install the software! why would it have needed to do that? How could it have lost the information it had used for years?
