  1. Yayyyyy for Ollie dog! Keep fighting, champ.
  2. Just checked out her posts, and she's been online tonight. Anne, where are you? How is Murray doing?
  3. Keep your chin up and your spirits will follow
  4. ;) Poor Ollie dog. Keep fighting little smiler!! Hugs to you, Jodie. He's being brave for you
  5. Koza, I'm thinking the same. I'll check out the stalls at the Canberra Show ...
  6. Here is the breed list of Coat Kings suggested by Mars Grooming Products in Australia. They also have a price listing for replacement blades here.
  7. Thanks, Steve. I'll think about some options and see what the locals think ...
  8. What sort of venues do you require? If we hooked up with a local dog club, who have fenced off areas, a clubhouse and the like, would that work? Or a showground, perhaps? A farmer's paddock, even? I reckon there are enough of us here to make it happen. When you travel interstate, do you stay with DOLers or does the workshop fee cover your accommodation as well? So many questions ...
  9. Hmm, May in Vic ... okay, family are down there. I'll try to get there! I'll keep an eye on posts about it here in Training.
  10. I don't have one yet, but I'm saving to get one for Jack. He's a double-coated ACD x GSD (we think) with a whole lotta wooly undercoat. I currently use a cheap shedding blade on him, and need to upgrade ... so I'll keep watching this thread
  11. Ooh, if there's another workshop in the near future I'd love to come up ... might see if some Canberrans want to car-pool Was it a one-day or two-day workshop? Wondering about accommodation ... my brother is near Penrith so maybe that would work I'll keep an eye on the Training forum. I look forward to meeting Tattydog's ARF foster dog, Paddy, at the Canberra Show next weekend!
  12. What a beautiful way to say goodbye, Julie-Anne. Hugs to you, Michael and the zoo at home. Jenna was indeed very special.
  13. Been thinking of you and your family, too MSJ. Rest easy, Jenna.
  14. Oh boy. You're going to have a busy day tomorrow doing all of Jenna's favourite things, taking her to her favourite places, feeding her whatever she likes ... and as others have said, your love for each other will live on. Be strong tomorrow. We'll all be thinking of you.
  15. Hey Jodie Just catching up after some time away from the computer. I'm so pleased to read that you got a cooling mat and that Ollie loves it. It sounds like he's just going to keep on going up and down until his time comes, and you'll be with him for every bump on that ride. Hang in there.
  16. You'll miss her every day, I'm sure, but she's still with you :D Are her ashes in the rosewood box? A beautiful timber for your beautiful Brodie.
  17. It sounds like Jenna's time is coming close, and she's letting you know that. Treasure every moment you have together. The memories will live forever
  18. Yep, BMP, I've seen these at the Warehouse in Queanbeyan. I'm not sure what sort of functionality they have. They're probably just a raised plastic bath, really, but if can get someone to plumb hot AND cold water taps out in the garden I reckon you'd be in business. I think they were selling for around the $150 mark? I wash Jack in the bath on a non-slip mat with a hand-held shower rose and it works a treat until he shakes and covers the walls in fur! I've found a hydrobath is *much* better for getting that undercoat out. I just can't afford to get it done regularly :D
  19. I seem to have a little dust in my eyes, too, Staffyluv ... Ollie is such a fighter, and you're doing everything in your power to keep him comfortable. Stay strong and enjoy your time together :D
  20. What a gift to have that extra year, Paula. Rest in peace, Gremlin ... by name and nature, I presume? Our old girl, Misty, is 16 this year and still feisty as ever but slowing down significantly. We're dreading making the eventual decision as a family ... I hope she lets us know when to do it, as Gremlin did. Hugs to you and your family.
  21. What a beautiful and moving tribute to your gorgeous girl, Crysti_lei. If only I had wipers for my glasses so I could see what I'm typing. Run free, Baby Bear, and take as many rubbish bins lids and doggy doors as you like
