  1. I *think* dry food is a big factor in urine burn on grass... There is a product called "Dog Rocks" that are supposed to stop the burn, I haven't used them... but have heard good things about them. As do a lot of people online here, I add a small slurp of apple cider vinegar to the dogs water... it stops the algae and also seems to stop the burn on the lawn.
  2. Supercoat cat biscuits or the VIP petfoods chicken chunkers. Not that they get all that many these days.. nasty me
  3. I know you can't book it for social gatherings, but there is a possibility of a booking for professional training use.
  4. Thunder... I've Pm'd you. Would most likely be on a weekend.... and hoping for sometime after mid March. Considering Whiteman Park Dog Enclosure as a possible venue, providing I can book the entire dog park. Open to other suggestions as well... anyone live on/near a potentially suitable venue? Schools are out as dogs are not allowed on school grounds anymore (not officially anyway ) But we need more people to make this happen! So many past posts about Perth people wanting Steve over here I'll get ya's all at the DOL meet in a couple of weeks
  5. Also bear in mind that Steve has to fly over to Perth as I can't convince him to walk over. Hoping to get enough people for a 2 day workshop to make it worth his while and keep the costs down, whether it be the same people coming twice or different.
  6. My Ozito one has a two year warranty... GMC ones will have two years as well. Actually, I think Ozito now offers three year warranties. Dremel are great if you can/want to afford it.
  7. Jenna.... I'm just sending you BIG hugs , I know there is probably nothing I can say to make you feel better right now... but please know that we are thinking of you. Spoil your best friend rotten, love her and keep her comfortable. Look after yourself
  8. As yet we haven't decided on a topic... just doing very basic testing the water stuff and gauging interest at this stage. If you have a peek at some of the other workshop threads running, it would give you an idea of what topics etc could be covered.
  9. Ok, Perthies... thought I better start a new topic in case you didn't see my message in the other thread. Anyone tentatively interested in attending a one/two day workshop with K9 Force her in Perth? Venue, dates, subject, costs are still to be decided, this post is purely to guage the level of interest. PM me to advise... and also if you know of a potential venue.
  10. The sandpaper is much much better as they don't get so hot. The stones get really really hot.
  11. I've just got a ozito version.... any of those rotary multi-tools will do the trick.
  12. GoneGrey - what price range is the Natural Balance food? I've seen a few signs outside of the local vet clinics advertising it... but haven't had the chance to drop in an enquire. PP - Pet Fare... that's the stuff they give out free samples of at training? If it is, my two loved it, but I certainly didn't enjoy poop patrol the next day! I had dinosaur sized poops to collect. yuk. I've tried quite a few different brands over the years, Cougar does well on absolutely ANYTHING... Chelsea gets dandruff on most stuff and looses condition on a few as well, the only thing so far not to set it off is Bonnie, and a bonus is that it is cheap as.
  13. mjk05 - good point about training clubs... I cannot think of any over here who let you train with e-collars. You would have to continue training privately.
  14. PurplePulse - here is the link to the manual Training Manual Oh, and thanks for clearing up your previous post... I was a bit baffled as to what you meant as well. Powder Puff - As this thread is NOT about the pros & cons on e-collars... may I suggest you do a search for a previous thread that is on that subject. Save us all having to go back over it again.
  15. PP - K9 Force is the way to go if you wish to look further into these collars... he actually has a book on e-collars (via his website). Absolute bargain IMO, I got one of these before I bought the collar... gave me plenty of time to read it! EW - I think PP meant that his dog pulls on the lead, but without showing signs of aggresssion
  16. Not that long ago actually... took me ages to save for it. Started using it when Chelsea was 18 months old (or thereabouts)
  17. I train with an modern e-collar on my girl, and I'm in Perth.... I wouldn't say it is a common training tool over here, but I've never had any problems with the public. Anyone who has made a comment, I usually take the collar off and give them the chance to feel the stim on themselves.. they usually laugh at how low the stim really is. Problem solved.
  18. Not sure on the answer to that one... but have you tried www.cat-world.com.au ?
  19. You hear that Perthies!!! Who wants K9 over here? We can band together and relocate him.
