hmmm i might give that a try at home ptolomy thats pretty interesting

if i could have any breed it would be a koolie i fell over a koolie pup in a pet shop almost 3 years ago now (razzle in my siggy) and just absolutely fell in love with him and his nature and his flexibility to do anything with through my baby boy i met some wonderful koolie pple and some breeders, and just last week picked up my new little koolie girl to add to our family

yes i better brush up on my jumping puppy skills, as i have one now my older boy will still occassionally jump and im not tough enough on him, he is mostly good though i found for raz time outs were very effective, when i had guests over, every time he jumped he got a time out in the bathroom, he stopped pretty quick, i havent been as solid on my time outs as i should be, hence him doing it occassionally now, i might crate willow when guests arrive and let her out when she is calm, then time out every time she jumps

ok so basically it looks like we are keeping willow, my current concern before i commit: ok raz is my buddy - he used to follow me everywhere and hang in the room with me, now i get willow is a bubba and atm raz tends to follow her around unless she is crated for a nap (when he will nap with me). now my question is once she settles will raz go bak to being my buddy and following me around and chillaxing with me? or is that "perfect" moment in time gone? i would be happy with raz being my buddy i would also be happy if willow joined in and became buddy 2 will they both follow me around as raz once did? or is that one of those perfect moments i cant get bak unless i give willow bak?

i vote for south side in may...

such a beautiful story cathya you are doing a fantastic job i think this boy was meant for you, i believe someone said soul mate, i think he is, just seeing how happy you are to have him and how happy he has become i hope he gets a break and the bone cancer just doesnt hurt him for a looooonnnnng time, he sure deserves all the happiness you are giving him and he you you have done a great job, good on you for loving him

yep i hear ya ok, when raz was a baby and he would wake up at 6 am, we would lock him outside and go bak to sleep...is it ok to lock willow out when she wakes up without raz? and go bak to sleep? :/ i guess it would be good alone time training

my whole family jokes that ill have our kids crate trained too lol when i say "in your crate" dogs and kids will all go

thanx wizzle i might try to crate her for short periods then take raz out, i did it the other day took raz to the park, i might try to do it regularly get her used to being alone/apart from raz

so sorry of you hard decision sammies thank you for the well wishes with my addition, i would like to teach my new girl to handle being left alone so that as she gets older she can handle it (not too sure how to go about it, but ill try) loving the pics of pepper puppy what a cute little ball of fluff she was

max im so glad to know im not the only one i've been puppy clucky for a while, but my head keeps getting in my way, i over think it so i guess the breeder i know almost making me take willow home for a 2 week trial is a good thing she was my pick of the litter, i've been watching her grow (it wasnt a random here take a puppy) i get what you mean though max raz and i are exactly the same as you and max, i've never had 2 dogs...so this is very new to me

ok thank you ktb :p thank you for saying your bond with elbie has not lessened that was my no. 1 concern ;) i know im a worry wart, OH wont even bother discussing my concerns I'll be both dogs handlers as OH doesnt wanna do agility or anything so i guess i will bond to both and raz and i will stay bonded with the added bonus of a cute little girl I'll get there, im just very averse to change, but as you said ktb, when we have kids, and we will, there will be more changes ill have to deal with you are right i am trying to capture a "perfect" time with me and raz i will give willow another week and see how we go, ill try to stop doubting for a week and see how i feel at the end... she is cute and such a gentle soul (so far )

sorry to be a pain again: can u love 2 dogs and totally have a bond with both? or is our bond with raz gonna become less now he has a doggy friend?

i have one for raz, for next summer...they are rather heavy its got gel stuff inside, its not cold, but i would say it would be cool for a hot day :D dunno havent used it yet
