  1. ask your breeder, they may be able to help.
  2. http://youtu.be/62yGnajzD4s a link will have to do
  3. Polly who is going to be a skinny minny like her Mumma I think
  4. At the very least you should know the parents names by now and a picture or two of the pups. I don't take deposits and I don't allocate pups to people until I know more about both. There isn't a lot of personality at 4 weeks. I find that comes more from 5 weeks on. By all means ask for more, you've already paid for something.
  5. well know one would know you jumped the list unless they were told. And while I don't keep a waiting list I try to make the best match of home to each pup, regardless of when the peolel first inquired.
  6. Ok can someone remind me how to upload a video?
  7. No close up's of Red today. Sorry Every one wants Red
  8. and this one best shows the colour difference in the brindles. Polly, Hugh, Red and Opal
  9. @PossumCorner I have had a couple of reads and I think they are different but having Greyhounds I've known about Alabama Rot for a while now. I also didn't take "kennel hygiene is a factor" to mean dirty kennels, just that the dogs are in close confines and maybe even the hosing out was helping spread the disease or incubate it seeing as how it was said humidity was a problem.
  10. Jesus I hope this isn't Alabama Rot.
  11. depends on the breed really. In my breed you could wait for 3 years for one of us to have a litter. And there are very few of us.
  12. I think I would be going with what the breeders and owners of this breed advise. They know the breed best.
  13. I think there has to be a way to distinguish between the two. Some people value a Speciality show win more then a All Breeds. But you usually beat many more dogs in an All Breeds show then a Speciality . I've just looked at a rosette one of my dogs won at a Sighthound show and it says Puppy in Show but if I talk/write about it I always say Puppy in Speciality Show and I never just use the initials I would always clarify the win, but that's just me.
  14. I think it is also worth keeping in mind that, no matter how good a breeder is (or isn't), sometimes sh!t happens and you end up with a less then perfect puppy. That's Mother Nature playing with us. To me, if your pup does turn out deaf, and it's a breed not known for having hearing problems then that's a shame but life goes on. If the pup is deaf because of an untreated ear infection I would be livid and most certainly would want purchase price refunded. IF it could be proved that's what happened of course.
