  1. quest2, hopefully someone with more knowledge on your raw diet plan. I have heard that pork is not good for dogs. I dont know about your ratios but mine are: 40% RMB (minced chicken carcusses, roo bones, chicken necks, lamb necks,) 40% Muscle meat ( I feed 2 parts donkey, 1 part goat. Also a heart meal every now and then) 10% Offal mix 10% vegie slops ( with added suppliments: cod liver oil, alfalfa, kelp, rosehip) They also get sardines as a morning meal every now and then. I can say that they it took me alot of trial and error to get it right, but they hvae never looked better
  2. She is quite a nice looking 'blue' bitch isn't she I have also noticed that the prices of other colours, eg: 'rare' tiger brindle, blacks, have gone up in price. Must be because there are so many blue's you wouldn't class them as rare but all other colours are. I love my wash and wear babies. Wash, dry and show. So simple. Oh for a bit of extra shine, give you dog a great big rub down/pat all over with your hands. Their coats glisten and they love it I do it with the Ode man all the time and his coats shines like there is no tomorrow.
  3. Sorry Labs about your little girl. R.I.P. Little one
  4. So sorry for putting wrong info in Labs26. You know I had it written in front of me but still typed it wrong I am blaming it on school holidays. It is only day 4 and yep, I'm over them completely Kids are doing nothing else but argue and fight. Took them to the beach today and yep, I got bogged And to top everything off, Cynda and Phina are now in season and poor Ody is going barmey the poor man. At least I can come on here and get my puppy fixes though Congratulations again everyone on all your beautiful litter's and good luck for the ones yet to whelp.
  5. I have a motorbike tyre for my staffords. They love it and it is still going after 1 year. I also make my own tug toys, really simple, cheap and they last for ages.
  6. Zena looks so pleased with herself and looks like she took it all in her stride. Well done amd gorgeous bubba's
  7. Congratulations Lilli. And dont forget we need some photo's when you're able please ;)
  8. Not long now and we will have little bubba's everywhere  I cant wait..... YOu will have to post lots and lots of photos of all your new additions peoples so Kimba and I can have our puppy fix
  9. Hi All, yes it has been a while but I thought I would let you all know that i now have the agility bug I did a bit of ground work with Kimba last year and then had alot of other stuff going on so couldn't do it for a while. But I have now been a few times and I love it and so does Kimba. We started off with the beginners stuff, but Kimba thought that was to easy so we went straight into the more advanced section. Tonight we did the aframe, the board walk and some different jumping runs. Kimba is unreal. She took everything in her stride and did everything with ease. Our instructor also bought her flyball thingy down ans showed us how to use it. Well after about 3 or 4 goes of showing Kimba how to touch the board with her paw to get the ball out, she has that down packed too. BUT there is a tiny little problem and involves a BALL She is obsessed with them so now seeing as though she will do everything with the treats, I am going to start from scratch with herr in the agility to get her to work for the ball and not just want me to throw it over and over and over again :D She is a remarkably quick learner so hopefully she will get the gist of it too. Oh, and I also gave my other 2 (Ody and Cynda) a go and they were quite good at it too. Just imagine how bloody fit I will get if I run 3 dogs in agility I have used a variety of treats. Liver treats, cheese, frankfruts, cooked sausages, and fruit with watermelon being thier favourite. When I show Ody, I have to have something that her will love to get him motivated and his taste buds are different for every show I use cooked sausages in obedience and agility. Kimba and Cynda dont care what they get as long as it is something edible but Ody, well, it must just be a male thing I think
  10. I think there is at least 'one' in every breed :D
  11. I thought it was 7years and the dog had to be over 12months
  12. All the lovely belly shots. Cant wait to see little bubba's everywhere.
  13. There was an add on DOL a while back where it had 'blues and blacks' out of the same litter. They advertised them both as rare and blue's were $2500 and black's were $2000. Another way of looking at it in my opinion is the ethical breeders breed for the betterment of the breed and the unethical breeders breed to make money . I do know some so called breeders that will price puppies accordingly to cover costs or/and to make a profit . Every dog is special in their own way but brindles are extra spethal
  14. yes it does look quite young doesn't it but photo's are very misleading. Shame on owner it is only 3 weeks . I do feel like ring her up and enquiring actually. Oh and did you see the heading 'BREEDERS DREAM'  :) and they are cross breeds
  15. Wow all those belly shots. I am so jealous....Kimba is definately not pregnant. So I will mate her again on her next season...
  16. They also see the $$$$ attatched.
  17. R.I.P Milo My deepest sympathy to you and the owners. It has happened around here also. I little minature mare and foal were in a small paddock, and were attatcked by 2 stray dogs. The mare got between the dogs and her foal and fought for her life and for her foals. SHe had to be put to sleep from the extent of her injuries but she did manage to keep the dogs away from her foal. And apparently the dogs had been roaming and were found to have come from a neighbourhood from the aother side of town (roughly 20minutes drive). Again I am so sorry for your loss and I do hope that the owners are bought to justice as they obviously dont deserve any animals..
  18. Oh, I heard something the other day about bitches not falling pregnant when the moon is wrong ? Apparently, cant remember how many years ago, alot of breeders who had mated their bitches at a certain time (something to do with the moon) didn't fall pregnant and it was the same with horses. Anyone heard of this. Sounds alot like the crayfishing. When there is no moon, you dont catch anything.
  19. Cavalblaze, thats exactly what is happening with Kimba at the moment but this will be her second litter(maybe). Today she doesn't look pregnant at all but other days she does. If she isn't, then thats alright. I am over the excitement/heartbreak now and will just mate her again on her next season.
  20. a little bit more than usual.
  21. Ye, going over her previous preggy belly shots, you could see at 7 weeks that she was definatley pregnant. It just st the moment that I cant tell All the signs are still there but.......dont want to count my chickens before they hatch......
  22. $90 here for an u/s. Booked in for Monday which is the same day the entries are due. I have been going over her pregnant belly shots from her first litter and I still dont know Could be, might not be. I have heard of bitches who have a phantom actually go through the whole hog, including weight gain, labour and all. Hopefully the vet on Monday will be able to tell me for sure. SHe will be 7 weeks, so she might just have to do a palpation hopefully.
  23. She is now booked in for Monday. At least then, I will now if she has got a valid reason for getting fat or I can put her straight on a diet
  24. At leas I will know for sure. We are planning on travelling to Perth mid April for some shows ( entries due this week )and also for a day at Adventure World. So might even get her in this week so if she is pregnant, I wont be wasting my money on the enrty forms.
